Chapter 333 - Finding The Answer-II

Seojun was caught in between two of the most strongest hunters in the current society. He could use a little of the power that his family forbid but the questionable problem was whether if using the power was worth it. Perhaps he could use Kwon Huan as a distraction instead? To act as if he was also on the hunters side to then use the chance to help Seoyeon from behind was also a great idea, thought Seojun to himself in silence. His brain work in full capacity to find a way to escape and his best solution for Seoyeon's best interest.

"You did?" Collin asked, a sound of happiness was on his voice and Seojun was sure now that Collin would immediately order an execution if he ever caught a tail of his older sister.

"Yes," Kwon Huan answered dutifully, so quickly and steady that Seojun want to punch the man in anger.

"Where did you find here? As expected was it Mr. Lee's house? Did you find them when they were on the way to meet Mr. Lee?" Collin said, his guess was almost close to correct that cause Seojun's heart to thump like thunder, but he kept a cool expression on his face not to be caught red-handed.

Kwon Huan's eyes met Seojun's for once and he shook his head, "No sir, we found out that the two left the city. Possibly they are planning to leave Seoul and go to Jeju. Mr. Lee attested that Mr. Jung requested him to buy a ticket to Jeju Island. I have stopped the booking for now, but we should hurry and spread out the search to other part of the city if we wish to find them soon."

"Tsk, they left further than I thought they would," sighed Collin and he released his hand that had moved to Seojun's shoulder, making way toward the chair, "I will immediately notified the branch of hunters in the border of the city to find them. No matter how quick they are to leave the city they should still be around there. Traveling by car is easy to track. Great job, Seojun, Huan, you two can go back and rest for now."

"Yessir," Kwon Huan answered, pulling Seojun's dagger while he was in a daze and snuck it into his sleeve before bowing and leaving the room.

Seojun was startled and confused by the sequence that happened. When he wanted to speak, Kwon Huan beat him into it by saying, "We can have a drink, you are in the university now, can you drink Soju? How is your alcohol tolerance?" As he asked, Kwon Huan rounded his arm over Seojun's shoulders, raising his eyebrows in question.

Seojun who was still wary wanted to ask him but saw the man placed his finger across his lips as if telling him to stay quiet. Considering how Kwon Huan had helped him by not revealing Seoyeon's appearance in Mr. Lee's house, and that he knew there was something this man was trying to tell him, he decided to play by the act, "I can drink fairly well."

"Then let's drink in my house, it's a great opportunity for us to get close as we will be working together more soon," Kwon Huan's words were friendly and he continued to speak chatters that doesn't involve Seoyeon throughout their walk away from the corridor.

Following behind them was a man who then appeared out of one of the pillars in the open corridor where the left side of the corridor was made to be open. He continued to stare at the direction Seojun and Kwon Huan took. After following them for hours and days, he found nothing strange between them and thought today he should leave them be and quickly disappeared to the place, leaving to make his way toward Collin's room.

"Did you found Seojun's weird behavior, Rain?" Collin asked, his face looking at his laptop without glancing at the man.

"No sir. Both Seojun and Kwon Huan showed no odd behavior. I followed them outside Mr. Lee's house and they came back looking fine," though after that he had to leave for a few minutes because how Seojun and Kwon Huan disappeared for a second.

"What about the wound on Seojun's cheek?" asked Collin, not missing a single detail unanswered.

"About that sir. I wasn't able to take a better look of what happened, but I reckon Seojun fell from the stairs near the southeast corridor, there he rolled and I saw his cheeks cut in the small accident," answered Rain.

Earlier, after finding out how he had missed the two hunters, he quickly searched all the corridors in the Hunter building. The building of the hunters were no less smaller than the Associate's headquarter, making it difficult for him to find where the two had left after being misdirected by a fight that broke out near the building's entrance.

"Sir, should I keep tailing them? From my point of view, they seem to be following every of your orders, it doesn't seem that Seojun is keeping any secret or lending a hand to the catalyst," said Rain, wondering how long should he overwatch the hunters when there were more important things he had to do.

In the first three minutes, Collin did not reply. "Seojun is born from the couple who is the kindest between hunters. While most hunters take this dangerous work out of hatred for loosing their families, lovers, or closest friends to vampires or witches, the Han Family took work as the Hunter because of their ancestors which why compared to other Hunter, they often look at vampires or witches in eyes of a judge, they won't attack witches who have surrendered, nor the witches who doesn't want to use their power again or vampires who plead for forgiveness."

It was a strange thing for Hunter to be forgiving and perhaps because most of them only think of their work as to kill rather than being a judge. There was no option that came in mind of a Hunter other than killing their enemy. Rain also found the Han couple strange because if he was in their shoes like any other hunters would, he would turn a blind eye to the witches or vampires who beg for forgiveness and punished them with death.

"They are quite forgiving," answered Rain, a tinge or sarcasm slipped from his mouth that he cannot control.

"Yes," Collin agreed, "I don't have it in me to understand their way of thinking either. I took Seojun when he was still young, he live with the catalyst from a very young age, grown like true siblings. His parents were so kind and that was their mistake and Seojun is similar to them. He might spare some of his kindness to the catalyst, but I am afraid he would follow his parent's path of trusting others too much that can cause him his demise. Other than the fact I look at Seojun like my younger brother, Han family has a very unique bloodline and I cannot lose him in the hand of the catalyst. Keep more days to watch him and protect him."

"Pardon me to ask," Rain then said, "Sir, if you fear to lose the bloodline of Han Family, don't you think it is better to keep a distance between Seojun and the catalyst?"

Collin heaved a deeper breath, frowning as stress piled on his head, "It might be the best solution but the only enemy of the catalyst are people of Han Family, the people who bear the  lineage of the only creature that might be on par with the catalyst— the light witches. I cannot afford to lose Han Family member but neither can I let the catalyst run wild and take more innocent lives."

Taking in what happened earlier, it didn't appear like Seojun was hiding the catalyst's location. Collin wondered if he had overthought about the relationship between Seojun and the catalyst or if actually Seojun never forget his mission to kill the catalyst and see her only as a target? Maybe, Seojun was more rational than he thought he wouldn't.

In the same car, Seojun's eyes then snapped at Kwon Huan who sat on the driver seat, "Can I ask you what the hell happened there now?" Kwon Huan didn't immediately reply but as he didn't stop him, it would mean that they have shaken off the person who had been following them. "Why are you helping me? No, I mean, why are you helping my sister?"
