Chapter 301 - Eerie Prelude-II

"Doctor Lee?" repeated Seoyeon in question, "Ah!" Now Seoyeon understood what was bothering Seulgi and it was in fact love. She was happy that Seulgi seemed to have made progress in the relationship but then she noticed the faint frown over Seulgi's brows. Being sensible, Seoyeon decided to ask, "Would you like to talk to me about what happen between you and Doctor Lee?"

Seulgi fiddled with her finger in circular way before she nodded her head in agreement and revealed to Seoyeon of what happen the recent days when she wasn't there— of how their relationship seemed to advance but then hit a rock.

Seoyeon went into a moment of silence, "I can't draw much from his words but he doesn't sound like he is rejecting you."

"Really?" Seulgi asked.

"I feel that he is warning you, not to get close. I don't understand the reason though," Seoyeon answered as they shared seat in the hospital bed.

"Isn't warning me not to get close similar to rejecting me?" Seulgi made a point, "He told me a little about his family and it doesn't seem like he like them."

Seoyeon nodded at her words, and she said, "Some times warning others not to get close is similar to be afraid of that person to get inside their life. He might reject you but from what I heard he doesn't seem too serious in rejecting you. I can hear how you still have a chance."

"I would also like to believe that," sighed Seulgi as she flopped her back and laid on the bed while her legs hanging on the edge of the bed. "But for the past few days he had been ignoring me. Well, the nurse told me he was busy but I feel he is using that as an excuse."

"Let's wait until he stopped being busy," Seoyeon suggested, not wanting to pull reckless guess. "Maybe it's not an excuse and lie but the truth. With the way I see it, you two seem to have bonded when talking together at night. I believe that it isn't only you who had found that moment dear but also him just like when one take a breath of a fresh air and maybe you are that breath of fresh air for him."

"There is also that possibility that he accompany me each night only for his work," Seulgi said, a bit pessimistic as she wasn't able to see Doctor Lee for many days after the short exchange of their words where she had subtly or maybe not subtly confess about her feelings for him.

Seoyeon chuckled at Seulgi's words, "It's my first time to hear that a Doctor's work also require to become a listener to a patient late at night. No one does that if they are unwilling. Also, I find that only when one feel their heart grew closer to another will they talk about their families and what was bothering them. Have a little confidence, I am sure he has feeling for you. We don't know if it's love but you have a chance. I thought you were Seulgi the one who can seduce all type of men?" Seoyeon asked with a quirked smirk.

"Ah! Please don't remind me of my stupid nickname during highschool!" Seulgi rolled around with her hands covering her ears.

"It's the name that you gave to yourself," Seoyeon replied with a chuckle, "Remember how we were often called as the strange duo with one being a delinquent and the other being a play girl?"

Seulgi laughed at the far memories, "Those people always talk about us as if they don't have anything better to do."

"Most people feel entitled to say about others and make remark to them. Then they wouldn't notice that their remarks was similar to blades that could cut open wounds on other's body," Seoyeon said and Seulgi turned her face when she laid her body similar to the way Seulgi did, sleeping beside her.

"Right and they are so nosey in our problem," Seulgi agreed, "How is it with your aunt and uncle?" she asked because Seulgi was one of the few people who knew about Seoyeon's family matter.

"We haven't talk," Seoyeon said the truth. Usually her aunt and uncle would bombarded her with messages and calls of needing money. "They hadn't come to contact me and I don't plan to contact them anytime soon."

"That strange," Seulgi pointed out, "By now they would usually create a scene."

"After Hwa had came and met them, it helped the two to have a change on their thinking and reflects on some things," Seoyeon said vaguely, not wanting to get in detail on what Jung Hwa did and she recalled how many time she had been poisoned to death by her relatives. "Maybe it's a good change for them."

Seoyeon and Seulgi spent the rest of their time talking from the moment the sky was still a bright blue color until it dipped into an orange color and lastly black.

"I will see you again soon," Seoyeon said while picking her bag. "Hopefully I won't be busy any longer."

"Why do I miss you already when you are still here?" Seulgi chuckled and she spread her arms upward toward Seoyeon. She took it as a cue for a hug and went to return the hug from Seulgi.

They didn't immediately pull away and instead swung their body together in left and right direction, "I will come every two or three days."

"I hope you can visit me everyday," Seulgi said, "Don't do anything dangerous when I'm not with you, okay? You tend to do things recklessly without caring whether you would get harm in it."

Seoyeon wondered if Seulgi had picked her lies that she had done nothing dangerous and knew for a fact that she had been facing a rather tough day fighting the witchess and her enemy. "I won't do that," she convinced Seulgi as they pulled away from the hugs.

"I don't trust you," Seulgi said with a grin, "But I think I might trust Mr. Jung better than you. He seem to like you a lot. If you both have time, bring him here. I can't leave the hospital but I wish to talk with him?"

"Talk about what?" Seoyeon asked, "Is it about the vampires?"

"No," Seulgi denied, "It's something different."

Seoyeon then waved her hands as she left the hospital room. Having a talk with Seulgi make a part in her heart feel at peace. Feeling refreshed, Seoyeon wondered if she should go somewhere else or go home but remembering how dangerous the street was, she decided to come back home.

Leaving the hospital through the front door, at the same time, people dressed in black jackets went inside the hospital which Seoyeon barely noticed.

The people stopped in front of the hospital's entrance, "Have you confirmed that the half vampire is indeed here?"

"Yes, she should be admitted in this hospital," answered the other man politely.

"Sir Remong, I think we should wait for Ava to come soon. It's said that she will be participating the kill," said one woman behind the man.

The second man who had spoken looked displeased at this news, "Why does she need to come here? Once again she is aiming to steal our credit from under our nose. This isn't the first time, she had done it before and is trying to pull the string for being a superior dark witchess than us to gather more merit. Sir Remong, let's get going with the instructions before that happen."

Remong shook his head over his subordinate's suggestion and being wiser he instead said, "The Mistress is very fond of Ava as we all know. It's better if we doesn't cross her path and push her from behind to help her. It must be what the mistress wish for and although we wouldn't garner more credit, the mistress will be happy if we can do and follow what she instructed. The Mistress prefer someone obedient than a sly and clever witchess," said the man while giving a faint remark about the woman. "Today's instruction is clear, do you all remember it?"

"Yes," answered the same man who had spoken earlier, "Find and kill the half vampire who hold evidence about us and draw her blood for the rituals."

The man nodded in satisfaction, "Don't make any blunder."

"Yessir!" And the people left the place. When one nurse saw the group of four people make their way toward the corridor that lead to the inner section of the hospital without making any appointment with the receptionist, she quickly stopped the people.

"Ladies and gentlemen, excuse me for my forward words but you cannot enter the hospital without creating an appointment. Our hospital require a prior arrangement-"

"Move, woman," said the man who had spoken to Remong earlier.

The nurse was shocked because the man had suddenly spoken rudely and cut her from her words. But this wasn't her first time facing a rude people, therefore she pulled a smile and spoke again. The words and her voice hadn't left her body when a cold numb sensation came over her stomach and her eyes went wide when she looked down on her stomach that had been stabbed by a hatchet.

"You should have followed the order while I was still kind about it," the man said before clicking his tongue. As it was a working day, there were little guests in the hospital and when they saw what happened along with other nurses, scream erupted from the place and chaos begun.

"Junseo! I haven't cast the border ritual yet!" yelled the woman who was writing things on the floor. "You know that without the border the humans would run and leave the hospital that would only cause us more problem and trouble don't you?! We don't want to alert the hunters and Associates until we have killed the half vampire."

"We can chase them before they run," chuckled JunSeo. "Put the barrier quickly and the rest of us separate and kill those who run. I will leave the critical kill to you, Sir Remong."

Remong looked at JunSeo with an acknowledgment, "Great work, we can assist Ava but if she is late, we can blame it.. Early bird gets the reward."
