Chapter 298 - Putting It To Place-II

Seoyeon without wasting her time went to where Mrs. Valerie was. One leaf of the door was opened and at once, she could see Mrs. Valerie who sat on the couch in a position where her face faced the door. There was an initial smile on the woman's lips that fell when she saw Seoyeon entering, not Grandfather Jung or Jung Hwa.

Wordlessly, Li Lian take a seat in front of the woman. Although Mrs. Valerie was rude, Seoyeon wasn't told to fight rude with rude. She bowed her body slightly to greet, "It has been a long time, Mrs. Valerie."

Mrs. Valerie wasn't happy to see Seoyeon, chiming, "By now most humans would have leave your place. I don't know if you are brave or stupid." The door sound click close and Hans stood near the door when Valerie waved her hand to dismiss the butler but instead Hans bowed. "What are you doing?" Mrs. Valerie questioned the servant who didn't follow her orders.

"I have been told to accompany Miss Seoyeon if she is interested in venturing the house and the receiving room is one part of the house, Lady," answered Hans and clearly his words cause Mrs. Valerie to form a knot between her brows.

"Well now, I am here and I can help Seoyeon if she wishes to look around the house. Leave," Mrs. Valerie's words sound dismissive and left no room for discussion.

Hans didn't leave and Seoyeon turn her head. Meeting Han's eyes she then nodded and the butler finally left the room.

Seeing how the butler of the house had instead followed Seoyeon's instructions instead of hers, anger bubbles inside Mrs. Valerie as it appears the human girl had managed to leave stain into her family to take control from inside.

"I didn't know you would be here, it was truly a surprise," a very unpleasant surprise in the morning, added Mrs. Valerie in her mind.

"Grandfather Jung and Hwa offered me to stay here," Seoyeon didn't want to get into details of why and the reason even with Mrs. Valerie's gaze on her that was questioning. "Can I ask what do you come here today for, Mrs. Valerie?"

Seoyeon questioned the woman with much politeness but it was heard to Mrs. Valerie's ears as if the woman was the head of the house when the control in this house doesn't belong to Seoyeon but her!

"Everything other than to meet you," Mrs. Valerie put her tea cup with a loud clink and her eyes sharply stared at her. "Beating around the bush will only make me tired. I am a person who like things to be clear," Seoyeon was wondering what Mrs. Valerie would say when the woman stated aloud, "What do you want from our family? From my father and my nephew?"

Seoyeon looked back at the woman's brown eyes that hid the blushes of red brown beneath the color, "I don't think I understand what you mean."

"You don't need to lie. I know what your kinds always thinks of," Mrs. Valerie chuckled, her shoulders raising with a certain pride.

"By kinds, you mean humans?" Seoyeon asked.

"What do you think you are then?" Valerie questioned without knowing that Seoyeon wasn't a human, "I could never understand the greedy mind of a human. Was it an exciting event for you to conquer a vampire's household? All for money. You are still young but doesn't value your life, it's a pity, really."

"We are not in the same page, Mrs. Valerie. I don't understand what you mean by greedy. I didn't take anything, not money or anything of the possession in this house," Seoyeon said strictly, not letting Mrs. Valerie to patronize her.

"It's not that you didn't take anything but you are yet to take it. It frighten me to think that a human will take control of my house. How much do you need?" Mrs. Valerie questioned, "I advise you to take the money I am about to give you and leave for good. That is if you find your life worth to live for."

"Is this how you also chase away people who come to this house and near Hwa, Mrs. Valerie?" Seoyeon questioned and the elder vampire narrowed her eyes, "You claim to be doing everything for the family but are you doing this for yourself or are you doing this for the sake of Jung Family?"

Like a recited answer, Mrs. Valerie answered without a moment of thinking needed, "It's none other than the sake of Jung Family. Little girl-"

"Even accusing Hwa was for the sake of Jung Family?" Seoyeon asked, her eyes looking straight at the vampiress's bright eyes that had dipped into a red color. The redness of her eye was fainter than Grandfather Jung or Hwa's eyes, that prove that they were not entirely related to each other.

Mrs. Valerie's eyebrows raised but she wasn't surprised. "I guess Hwa have told you all about it yet. Then did he also lied to you that he had to kill his family member because he was cornered?"

"He didn't lie to me," Seoyeon answered while looking at the woman's hand that had turned white with the amount of pressure she put to clench her palm into a fist. 'Hwa's really didn't have any choice to kill his mother as she was poisoned by the witc-"

"There it is the lies!" Mrs. Valerie interrupted her words, "He told you that he didn't have a choice to kill his mother. I can acknowledge that but what about his brother? Did he told you he was terribly sick and didn't have any choice but to kill him?"

Seoyeon was unruffled and she didn't trust Valerie after her continuous tale of lies she web to create a rift between her and Hwa, but she also didn't want to dismiss the woman's words, "You are saying that is his lie?"

Mrs. Valerie chuckled, happy that Seoyeon looked interested. "You must have heard of how different he is and his older brother. The other son had a very thick lineage of a pureblood, stronger than anyone, even stronger than his grandfather and mother. Hwa in comparison was sickly child when he was young. Of course there was a few instances when he felt unfair as his older brother would always showered with love and affection. The green monster grew in Hwa and once his mother died, what do you think he did? He killed him in cold blood."

Seoyeon was wondering what kind of lies Mrs. Valerie was going to say. Her expression turn complicated; at least that was what it appear to Valerie's eyes until Seoyeon said, "With all my respect, Mrs. Valerie. I think you should change your profession into a writer. You weave some good lies, but if I have to tell you, don't make the lie too detail as it instead do the opposite effect of making other to believe you."

Valerie rolled her eyes, "You can believe what you want, girl. I acknowledge I might have lied about his mother but about his brother? It is a truth that no one could reprove."

"It might be better if you leave the house now, Mrs. Valerie," Seoyeon said. There were limit for her to condone the woman's ridicules and lies.

To be ordered to leave from the house by a mere human was a blow to Mrs. Valerie's pride. Her eyes turn to a warning glare, "This isn't your house. You cannot order me to leave and have me scram from the family per your order."

"It is not an order Mrs. Valerie. It is a request," Seoyeon looked back at the woman's eyes and Valerie wondered what had the human girl to be brave. "And that request can truly turn into an order if you do not comply. There are servants in the house and I was told that the servant will follow my instruction. I do not wish to hurt you, dear aunt."

"I am not your aunt!" Mrs. Valerie slammed her hand which was still holding the porcelain teacup to the table, causing it to shatter into pieces. "You are taking what you have now for granted, Seoyeon and mark my word, you will regret having this behavior to me."

Seoyeon stared back at the woman, showing her a gentle smile, "And I hope you wouldn't regret your behavior toward me either, Mrs. Valerie. I hope you will have a safe travel when you go back home." The calmer Seoyeon was only raise the anger meter of Mrs. Valerie.

When Seoyeon stood up, the woman also stood up, catching her hand with a vice grip. "A mere human like you dare to order me."

Seoyeon could feel her skin prickle over the tightness of Mrs. Valerie's hand. Instead of crying in fear, Seoyeon raised her hand, giving the woman the same hold. Mrs. Valerie chuckled, "Do you think your fragile and twig-like hands could do anything-AHH!"

Seoyeon stared back at Mrs. Valerie who had screamed in pain. She was surprised but not entirely as if her body had somewhere expected the rush of power she released to Mrs. Valerie's wrist. The vampiress was confused. What was with this human's power?!

Mrs. Valerie struggled to release her hand. In the beginning it was her who had planned to teach Seoyeon a lesson, making the human girl cry and traumatized her so she learn her position is below her, but instead, Seoyeon was the one to be 'teaching' her a lesson.

Mrs. Valerie looked up as her body bent in pain, causing Seoyeon to be taller than her. Shadow cast over Seoyeon's face, her eyes that were black now hold the hint of bright silver. "Mrs. Valerie for your record I am not afraid of you. Keep in mind that you should know never to cross line and offend people. I am not offended by the remark you gave but trying to hurt me is the last thing you should ever attempt," Seoyeon then released her hand from Mrs, Valerie's wrist, startled when she saw she had caused a blue mark on the vampiress's wrist but didn't want to show it and left the room.

Walking away, she had Hans asking if she was alright and heard a loud frustrated scream from the receiving room that belonged to Mrs. Valerie.
