Chapter 270 - Stay With Me-I

While other was confused, Jung Hwa spoke, "To simply explain what I think happened, Che Hara was forced by the witchess to push the blame of killing Chu Sunji to someone else by showing the body of a vampiress who was close to Che Hara; Che Hara feared the threat and accused me. What she wasn't aware of was that the witches didn't plan to let her alive after all of that and killed her."

Lee Young placed his hand under his chin, appearing to be invested by the guess. Grandfather Jung also seemed to have taken Jung Hwa's words as the closest to the truth. He asked, "But why Che Hara? There should be another vampiress with a family as large or even more grandiose than hers. If they had wanted to put a show to the Vampires' society, they would have chosen another vampiress to be threatened?"

"Because that night Cha Hara was actually there in the Associate Building ad she witnessed Chu Sunji killed by the witch," replied Jung and Seoyeon looked at him astonished. She wondered how long has he been searching for this and although she doesn't know if it was correct, somewhere she could imagine it happen.

"So far your words make sense, but in the end, it is only your speculations. You can convince us but there are stubborn little boys in the Associates who couldn't trust your words without evidence."

Jung Hwa curled his index finger to call the white witch, "You can ask him, he should still preserve the evidence of a dark witches' blood on the fabric of the trunk that Chu Sunji brought in during that night when he entered the Associate, the guards can prove that they saw the trunk." Min Beomgy turn to Lee Young and as if they had spoken with their eyes the white witch gave a nod and Lee Young hummed, "Is it still not enough to sew those noisy mouths with all this evidence?"

Seoyeon turned her face to the oldest pureblood. As he was one of the judges responsible for the judgement, his words are considered heavy to determine Jung Hwa's sentence. The pureblood was still expressionless and he sighed while looking at Jung Hwa, making her heart goes awry, and her heart jumped another beat when Lee Young looked at her with a smile, "No worry, Miss Seoyeon. I can hear how loud your heartbeat is that I'm afraid it would leap out from your body. Hwa should be alright now," and his eyes turned to Jung Hwa with an amount of affection and proudness, "the mouths you want to shut should be sewn with all this."

Seoyeon breathed out in relief that the matter regarding the accusation on him was finally resolved. While Lee young spoke with Min Beomgyu while questioning about Yu Sheen, Jung Hwa was catching up on things that were missing in his grandfather's absence. Seoyeon was there for a brief moment and left slowly to give them a room.

She stood not too far from Jung Hwa, just right in the place where she could see him without hearing his voice when Lee Young decided to accompany her, "If I were in your place, I would want to worry about myself than others at this moment."

Seoyeon pursed her lips at the man, her eyes narrowed when she met the pureblood's red ones. Now she noticed one thing that she had felt to be very similar from Lee Young that reminds her much to Jung Hwa. It was the man's constant gaze that could make one feel as if he had intruded on her mind, occupying her thoughts, that he would be able to pull every thought from her head.

"A witch," said Lee Young that had Seoyeon to ask how did the man know. Had the evidence about her killing the dark witches had been found? Or did someone made a witness statement to him about her? "I knew you were a witch since the second time we met."

Seoyeon looked at him with her black eyes widening. She didn't know if she should be transparent or hide this from the man. Instead, she chose not to do both. "How did you become acquainted with Hwa?"

"His grandfather is my far cousin, I might not appear like it but I am two centuries older than him. You can say that Hwa is my grandnephew. He is a little of a bothersome kid when young but by bothersome I mean in a good way. He had been that smart, snobbish boy who could do anything when young. But he always kept things to himself. Would you believe it if I tell you in the past Hwa was a book child? He never left his room when reading a book."

Seoyeon didn't think she could imagine Jung Hwa preferring books over going outside, and imagining it in her mind brought a smile on her lips, "I thought he would be a very outgoing child."

"His older brother was very outgoing but in comparison he wasn't. Surprisingly, he was also a child who often caught illness." Lee Yiung continued and she noticed the fondness that man had when speaking about Hwa.

"I didn't know a vampire could catch illness." And he wasn't any vampire but a pureblood, thought Seoyeon.

"You might find it strange but it was his condition. Unlike his older brother, Hwa was born differently. Having a strong second-generation pureblood vampire blood from his mother and a human blood from his father, he was a hybrid. When a child, Hwa's body fought with the two different type of blood as both of them was the opposite of the other, and it cause a strain on his small body; which why he caught illness like any other human child. It took him many decades for his body to accept the pureblood's heritage in him which was stronger than his human's heritage."

Seoyeon wasn't aware of this. Jung Hwa rarely talked about himself and although she could tell he would answer her if she had asked him about his childhood, she didn't have the heart to hear him bring out about his past where the image of his mother and brother still dwell fresh in his memories. "How was he when he was young?"

"If I have to describe him, I would say he was more human than most vampires," said Lee Young with a look where he was drowned in his memories, "It might have been due to the human's heritage in him, but he was less crueler than the children of his age. He also kept things to himself, rarely speaking out what he wanted or needed that got his mother confused of his behavior because vampires are always true to their desire yet when Hwa showed his desire and he could not have it, he didn't pursue it. But there was one thing that she requested to his mother."

"The cat," said Seoyeon to see Lee Young smiled and nod his head. Seoyeon wasn't aware that the cat bear so much meaning for Jung Hwa and she wondered why he had chosen the cat when he could have wished for other things.

"What about you, Ms. Seoyeon?" queried Lee Young and Seoyeon's straight brows were lifted.

"What about me?" She questioned him, seeing his lips lifting.

"We had heard and talked about Hwa. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say about how ardent he pursues you, don't you think? The entire Associates and vampires's society know this."

Seoyeon's cheeks blushed and she looked at Jung Hwa who wasn't far from them. She was aware that he could hear them despite having his own conversation.

"What do you think about him?" Lee Young pressed.. As Seoyeon's eyes shifted to Lee Young, Jung Hwa had stopped talking briefly and his eyes subtly turn to see her.
