Chapter 253 - Chaotic Home Visit-II

The scream that told others to run was shrilling and chilling, it was enough for Seoyeon to feel her heart suddenly drop. The shouting came from the maid who Seoyeon saw have went earlier from Che Hara's room to get her hand attended after being wounded by the vampiress.

Now the same maid ran across the hall as if she was chased by a Bear. But more than Seoyeon had guessed, the creature that had chased for the maid was not normal large furry animal, it was a long haired woman who had walked leisurely with her hand holding large crescent blades on both hand which was wide and sharp enough to cut a person to half like the one body that she stepped on.

The woman walked slowly, in comparison to the maid who was pleading for help. The way she crossed the floor was similar to someone who had just came out from her room to take a drink. If not for the blood dripping at the corner of her blade, and the spine-tingling wide ear-to-ear grin the woman had on her lips, she would have looked like a very beautiful and gentle human, almost appearing like an angel dressed in a inky flowy embroidered mermaid gown.

She watched the maid who was escaping from her with an endearing gaze, like how a predator would watch their prey running in a wicked amusement. She walked slowly, but the maid who ran for her life, was too scared the woman would increase her speed and chase to kill her that she dashed too fast and slipped on her feet.

In fear, she stirred herself from the floor but turning her head, the woman had suddenly appeared in a fast step. "One more caught," whistled the woman as she swung the blade across the maid, cutting the flesh to half. Seoyeon who had watched the scene couldn't bear to see a person cut alive and closed tight her eyes, only hearing the louder scream from the rest of the people who had witness the way that maid was killed.

While the servants had dispersed, the dark witches threw her head back, a loud laughter erupted from her her mouth. "Run! Run! Little humans, all of you, run! It would only be more amusing to kill you when you show fear and run like the rabbit you are."

Che Hara stumbled behind upon seeing the blood mess on the hallway which was only a little far from the place they were. "W-What is happening...?" she whispered with a paled face.

The housekeeper quickly pushed the lady, "My lady, it would be best if you escape now!" Che Hara was struck on her place even after the warning the housekeeper gave and only moved when the housekeeper dragged her away.

Seoyeon was not expecting a dark witchess to be here at this moment. Does that mean both Yu Sheen and Min Beomgyu is also in danger? In the train of her thought, she suddenly heard a louder scream from above her.

There was not only a single witchess, there was another one on the second floor!

The witchess that held crescent blades on her hands continue with her massacre. She didn't look like a human any longer, with her lips that constantly getting higher, twisting her face muscle in a horrid way.

Seoyeon didn't know if she would be able to fight the witchess alone, and it was more possible she would be defeated if she tries to fight the witchess head on. Why did it happen now when she had come to fetch the evidence from Che Hara? Regardless that don't matter now.

Another scream and plead of help rang again from the other end of the halfway. The witchess had caught a male servant on her hand, ready to cut him to half. The image of the previous maid sliced to halves played again inside Seoyeon mind

The safeties option Seoyeon had now was to run, and save her own life as she hadn't been noticed by the witchess. If Jung Hwa was here, he would have suggest her the same option as she was alone, and there was a clear striking difference of power between her and the dark witchess who seemed to be familiar with massacre.

It was the rational option, but Seoyeon couldn't do it. She asked herself, could she escape while turning a blind eye to the people killed in this place? Would she be able to live peacefully after, knowing how many people she had left to die?

While she was stifled between two choices, Seoyeon caught a sight of a small child near the dark witchess, the child wailed, "Papa!" shouted the boy, calling for the man who was caught by the dark witchess.

The dark witchess's attention shifted to the boy. "This servant is your father?" asked the dark witchess with a hint of amusement in her face. "How funny. This remind me, Furhemn had a showcase of head that belonged to a mother and daughter. I had always been interested to have such a thing a decorations. This is perfect, I wonder if your father's head and yours would look good in my room?"

The boy was too scared to move his legs that had turned wobbly from the woman's cruel words. "Wait there, I will take care your father and severe his head cleanly before I do yours."

The dark witchess raised her blade, her eyes measuring the line to cut before swinging her blade. Yet before the blade could move, she suddenly let go of the man she held by the neck, a scream roared from the dark witchess's mouth. "MY HANDS!"

The witchess looked at her hand which now had reduced to a state where it was only flesh and bones. There was an evident of a blue liquid splashed on that part of her hand that now had melted. Her eyes quickly shot to Seoyeon who had stood not far from her.

Now gaining the unwanted attention from the dark witchess, Seoyeon shouted to the man who stumbled on the floor to reach toward his son. "Leave this place with your son now!" the man seemed reluctant to leave her alone, as he was a half vampire, he was closer to have a human's sentiment than a vampire. But the situation was dire thence, he left with his son on his embrace.

"No I won't let you!" shouted the dark witchess, she held her blade and was about to throw it, but Seoyeon threw a clear rounded bottom flask to the woman's shoulder. Seoyeon had planned to aim at the woman's head or neck, but she wasn't used yet to throw the flask as her weapon.

The dark witchess cursed, seeing how her shoulders were melted the same way her hand did. She was clearly upset, and looked at Seoyeon with a flaming gaze. "What are you doing, a dark witch being on the vampire's side?"

By now, the place was empty as most people had evacuated from the place. Seoyeon shifted her gaze slowly that had watched the bodies that lied on the ground, the bodies were either sliced in a perfect half or a diagonal cut, there was not only blood drenching the floor that only turn the marbled floor even more slippery. The gore twist Seoyeon's stomach.

"I am not a dark witch," replied Seoyeon steadily. Even though it wasn't Seoyeon's first time to see a limb being severed after seeing Jung Hwa fought with witches, it was her first time to see the bodies of humans and vampires alike, killed and cleaved. Oddly enough, Seoyeon didn't throw up despite the bloody scene that played in front of her.

"Not a dark witch? It is only dark witchess who could use attack that could kill like these. You are not a white witch who could heal others," said the witchess, getting a step closer and Seoyeon apprehensively took two steps behind.

It appeared that there were still dark witches who are not aware of other colored witches that was present. The dark witchess in front of her now, also seemed to know only two types of witches which was dark and white.

"Why did you attack this house?" Cleverly, Seoyeon returned the woman's question. "I thought the dark witches are lying low to not gain the attention from the Associates. But what you are doing now is really far fetched from the word hiding."

"Hiding?" The woman laughed at the word, finding Seoyeon's reply like a joke. "We have never gone in hiding. We were only keeping a little silence to gather more power of us which was sealed hundreds of years ago. I should be the one asking you back, why are you helping the vampires? I have never heard of a witch who would want to help humans. We are like water and fire, you know. We could never get along or live together in harmony and there had been many evidence of that since thousands of years ago."

Seoyeon realized something out of place from the dark witchess' words. "The dark witches power are sealed?"

"Now, now, are you playing dumb to drag time, or do you really not know this too even though you are a complete dark witch?" questioned the woman with a light of amusement while looking at Seoyeon. "This is surely strange. You seem to know well that you are a witch, but claim you are not a dark witch when you are clearly one. Not to mention your power. Did the Associate hired you to work with them?"

Seoyeon raised her brows, "If I say they did?"

"Then you should quickly switch side, dear. You have such potential I don't want to waste, Ava would also accept you with wide welcome," the woman curled her lips that turned black. She put away the hand that was holding the crescent blade, reaching it out toward her, "Now what do you say? I can also guarantee you your safety if you would like to."
