Chapter 233 - Bringing Light-II

On hearing the voice that was playful unlike all the voice Seoyeon had heard throughout meeting vampires, she turned her head to see a man with light brown hair. The man had a wide smile, and the smile was not kept to the people he knows, but also her who had not see him before.

"You are scaring the lady," said the man.

Seoyeon can't tell if he was a half vampire, vampire, or a pureblood vampire. She had heard the difference of vampires and how the purebloods consisted of three generation with the first being the strongest and cruelest. To differentiate them was a different matter and a difficult one.

"Since when did you follow the rules, Chung Gon," Jung Hwa scoffed, he had a smile on his lips but not out of kindness, "Kindly remove this one unless a fight will breaks out where this person here would lose his life."

Jung Hwa had spoke with certain and his words earned the same vampire beside him shimmered with anger. Yet despite his anger that had welled up, Seoyeon noticed that he didn't move, or maybe he wasn't able to move because there was other here. Unlike Jung Hwa who didn't hide himself after breaking one hand or a neck, other vampires know that violence in Associate wouldn't pay them well. The man didn't want to be punished as vampire's punishment had never been tolerant.

Jung Hwa was an expecting though, with all he did that caught red handed with evidence, he had never been punished, and the reason was always swept under the ground. Leading to another hatred and envy from other vampires in the Associates.

"Doing that wouldn't be easy. He is your current supervisor. To see so that you would not escape," Deok Ji Hyeang was the one to answer this.

"Flimsy security," remarked Jung Hwa. "I feel that everyone is beckoning me to escape by putting in charade of securing me with such accusation for a weak security."

Was Jung Hwa really accused? wondered Seoyeon. Seeing how he still the happy go lucky tone, he seemed to be confident nothing would happen to him.

Maybe he had a plan in his mind? That would be good, thought Seoyeon when she noticed the gaze from the man beside Deok Ji Hyeang who was named Chung Gon.

"I'd like to know who put the security on me," stated Jung Hwa. Each word from him brimmed with self-esteem without loosing a single seed of his composure. The vampire seeing Jung Hwa's over the top boldness, crunched his hand in anger.

"That would be me," Deok Ji Hyeang replied, and a smile that was not with meaning settled on him, "I thought you would not run."

"Lee Young told you?" Jung Hwa asked and without waiting he walked without forgetting to catch Seoyeon's hand on him seamlessly.

"No, I just thought to. Though he did give me a hint." The conversation was hard to follow for Seoyeon. What were they talking?

"You can go," she heard Chung Gon speak to the vampire whose hand was broken beyond saving. "I will take your post."

The vampire then stomped his way from the place, anger did not leave him which had Seoyeon in worry.

To date, Seoyeon could proudly say that she didn't have a lot of enemy. Having one would be a bother for her mental and heart state. It was easier to live peacefully without anyone cursing you but Jung Hwa's preference was out of her world. Jung Hwa was somewhere the opposite of her but sometimes she could see the similarity.

Seoyeon wanted to ask Jung Hwa few questions but there were two vampires at the front and their back. Whispering was not a choice for her to make as the softest words said from her lips was still well heard for vampires.

Jung Hwa noticed Seoyeon turning her eyes back and forward, "Are you searching for a treasure?" He whispered, still had the joke on him in this situation and Seoyeon accepted him to be a person without worries.

"There is one here?" Seoyeon played on his game instead of telling him off.

"Well isn't there is one here, right at this place, this spot," At first Seoyeon thought Jung Hwa was spinning humors on her. Turning her head around, Seoyeon searched the treasure he mentioned only to shift her sight back at him.

"I don't see them."

"How slow," Jung Hwa remarked. Swiftly he pulled her hand and chin to see at his direction, "Here is the treasure, can you see it?"

Seoyeon felt her heart skipped as she didn't think Jung Hwa would use this opportunity to seduce her. This man really knows no bound in seducing her. She could see that even when he was nearly dying, he would do things to make her heart flutter. And the man knows his ways. "You mean you..."

"Hm," Jung Hwa nodded, not to agree or confirm at her words but at approval of her adorable expression. "What did you want to say to me? You have been looking everywhere as if wanting to use the time to talk but didn't."

Turning at the back again, Seoyon then whispered, "If I talk here wouldn't they hear them?"

"Not to worry, it would be fine," he whispered back, speaking in soft voice and Seoyeon followed him to speak at the same volume.

"How?"

"Magic dusts," Seoyeon rolled her eyes at his lies, "These two wouldn't be able to hear our voice. They can hear whispers but not as strong as my ears. Because I'm a pureblood."

It seemed to Seoyeon that the class of vampires didn't only showed how dominant their blood line was but also the power that come with them.

The two vampires on the back and their front who walked with a considerate distance that was not too close but not far away either. The distance was enough for one to jogged if they want to chase the person walking before them.

Now knowing they cannot speak, Seoyeon whispered, "Are you alright?" Her voice had a bold concern.

It made Jung Hwa to feel delighted that the first question Seoyeon had was his condition. He didn't want Seoyeon to worry. But every time he saw Seoyeon worrying for him, he can't help but to pull his smile wider.

It was the first time for Jung Hwa to have someone worry about him as much as Seoyeon did. To think of him first and prioritize his condition told him volumes of how much Seoyeon hold him in her heart. No one would worry much about the person they could not care less about.

Not even his father and mother had did this, and Jung Hwa was glad that he was taken by the Associates. Although he didn't know yet who was pulling the strings to web him into the trap, the circumstances helped him to see more into Seoyeon's heart.

"I've never been better," replied Jung Hwa, his words honest.

The more Seoyeon think about it, she could see that Jung Hwa was not bothered as if he was prepared, and she asked, "Did you know the Associates would come for you?"

"No I don't," he replied, "Didn't you see how surprised I was when I saw them standing in front of the company?"

"You didn't look like you are surprised," she stared at his face before going down to his feet and meet his eyes again, "Even now you are not scared, surprised, or worried. Aren't you afraid that they will catch you?"

"There is no catch in Associates, Seoyeon. They are not sweet like honey, instead they are nothing less than boiling oil. Once you are proven as guilty, you will be executed. Violence is still tolerable but not kill. The worse offense is that you killed a vampire and the Associates nose out your trace," Jung Hwa explained. His expression and voice remain unchanging while Seoyeon could feel her stomach sink on his words. "You look pale."

How she wouldn't look pale? By now most people would have lost blood from their face and Jung Hwa had been on the paler side, but he didn't change his expression ever since the Associate came.

She said, "Someone made a witness report on you. Witness's words worth diamonds to the court. If everyone believe on her words, you can be... executed," saying the words, Seoyeon felt her fingers slightly trembled when the realization hit on her that Jung Hwa could die after being falsely accused. Her frown was pulled to be more concentrated as she kept dwelling on the thought.

"That is if the witness's words is pure honesty without black lies," Jung Hwa's eyes met Seoyeon pure curious one, "Are you not going to ask why that vampire from earlier lose his hand?"

"Because you broke them?" She asked as it was obvious for Jung Hwa to exhaled a breath.

"I mean the reason for me to break his arm," Jung Hwa let the words hanging for Seoyeon to catch. "Don't you wonder what happened once I left your side?"
