Chapter 228 - Dark Intent-III

Ava looked at the Mistress, wanting to reply and say, "I am still waiting for someone who witness the pureblood and their daughter."

"Riam could take the person you are waiting for to the place later," replied the Mistress. Ava turned to look at Riam. The man looked frivolous, which was not to her type. But she could tell the man abide by the Mistress's words.

"Let's go," said the Mistress and Ava followed her to a room. It was much luxurious than the previous room. Ava saw the bed that was closed by a thick quilt. She saw the drops of blood below the bed and it had her question herself until her line of thoughts broke when the Mistress spoke, "Explain about the daughter."

"I do not know yet about the daughter, the one who saw the girl is the person I am about to meet now," replied Ava for the Mistress to nod.

Pushing the ring she wore on her little finger, the Mistress then said, "Did you see any shadows from us?"

"No, Mistress. I found the book that is the introduction to the book Numhae stole, it is with my friend," replied Ava. She saw how the Mistress's brows were pulled when remembering Ava.

"The book is our only clue to unleashed the power dark witches, and to resurrect her," the Mistress stated her violet eyes narrowing at anger when she recollect the pain she went through to have the book only to be taken away from her clutches, "I should not have put my trust in any of them. Now all my hard work for that book is all for naught."

"Numhae's pride is her mistake. She had taken it over the cloud that the vampires would not be able to find the book." When Ava saw Numhae died, her lips twisted, She was happy to see the death of the witch who had been but a nuisance to her. The death was also magnificent to look at as the witch ended up in the gut-churning fashion.

"It was my mistake to believe that despite her ego she would at least achieve something when she did nothing," the Mistress clicked her tongue and Ava didn't reply to anything, knowing that staying quiet was for the better. The Mistress was in a sour mood, to rile her anger would only put herself in danger. "I want you to take the book back. You have heard that the Associate named Jung to be the one who had took the book. Jung surname is not rare but it is not everywhere either. Hunt him and find for the book."

"Yes, Mistress," replied Ava, obliging to take the Mistress's order.

"You are the only one I could believe this on, Ava. You have never made a mistake and don't disappoint me. This is one step for our revenge," saying this the Mistress saw Ava bending her neck as if to show her respect to the order she made.

At the time, the door was knocked. Riam opened the door for a short man with a sickly thin figure walked inside the room. His appearance look no less than a beggar. Standing inside the room only showed the striking difference between the man's shabby appearance and the posh room.

"I-I..." the man could not speak when he saw the Mistress.

No doubt the woman was beautiful that she looked like a painting of an Angel to the man's eyes, but it was not the appearance that made the man stuttered. Since he had entered the dark witches group, the Mistress create, the man admire and worshipped her. To be able to see his idol in flesh delighted him.

"It is my greatest honor to meet you, Mistress," the man said with his head stick to the ground.

The Mistress, however, was not at the time where she would like to delay matters and have a chat. She asked, "Did you see the pureblood's face and the daughter of Yang's couple?"

The man quickly replied after staring at the Mistress's face with admiration, "I didn't had the chance to. They were too far for me to see their face clearly. If I had taken one single step, the vampire would notice and I had told hide far behind the cemetery's forest."

"What about the name?" questioned Ava as she had given the report to find the pureblood named Jung, she thought to take the name of the pureblood to quickly dispose the two; not knowing the person who had taken the book and the visitor of the cemetery was the same person.

"They didn't say," replied the man.

"This is useless," the Mistress sighed, standing up from the seat, her presence towered her, "Find them, the daughter of Yang, the two purebloods, and the book. I need to see them."

"Can I kill them?" questioned Ava as that was the easiest option to her than apprehending the purebloods.

"Except for the daughter of Yang. I need to see the daughter of our traitors. Like her mother, she must loo hideous," the Mistress chuckled as she left the room. Ava left with the man she befriend with soon after.

Leaving the house, they both exchanged informations. Ava took the boom from the man's hand, "This is all the books you manage to find?" asked Ava when she stopped at one out of the five books that was thin and made with hard cover. Judging from the look, it had been eaten by the age, and signs of molding could be seen.

"Weird, right? I thought it would be thicker," said the man to Ava. She flipped the boom back and forth, frowning at how thin the book was compared to their usual books that was thick from the detailed explanation. The book she held now felt as if it was a note book. And when she opened the book, to her surprise, the boom was written by hands.

"Where did you find this?" questioned Ava curiously. "Does this book worth of something?"

"I don't know but I can feel a strong magic from there, well, they are not as strong as the other four books but I thought I should mention this," replied the man, his eyes looking at the books to then added, "I find it in one cemetery. The one where humans reside in. I thought it was odd at first."

Ava raised her brows, "What was odd?"

"The place where this cemetery are is a housing complex. The house are not worth to mention as it seemed to be houses for people who are middle to lower class. I remember the cemetery to be wide but it was not tended that wild weeds live everywhere. And there was only three graves. I found this book buried deep there."

Ava looked suspicious at the book. The man in front of her now was not a witch. They are ones who usually help witches, called Digger.

The name came because the people helped the witches in the past from being buried to death. Their helps come from a reason that was told years ago where the first Digger was saved by a witch. They didn't say what witch it was but as other witches inclined to disappear, they began to work under dark witches.

The Diggers were loyal to the people they chose, and although some had disappeared by time, Ava managed to find one on her way searching for the supplies to make potion.

Opening the book, Ava heard the Digger said, "You will need a white witch to read that book. Will you be alright with the purebloods?"

"Do you think I will lose?" questioned Ava, her pride didn't like that the Diggers feared she would lose in the fight.

"This is a pureblood, possibly a first generation pureblood. I believe you have the power to win, Ava, but don't let your guard down," there was concern in the Digger's words.

"I will never do that," Ava turned her face from the Digger. Her expression could not be seen as she had looked the place opposite to where the man was looking at. "I have done it twenty years ago and to repeat it again would be over my dead body."

"If you say so," replied the Digger, "Should I bring you a white witch?

"You find one?" Ava asked. It was hard for a dark witches to find a white witches. With how the white witches have forgotten their hereditary, believing themselves to be normal humans, it was even harder for the dark witches to find them. The Digger, however, posses the ability to see magic like how the one near Ava was able to see magic on the books to know it was spell books.

"I will leave it to you and take this," Ava said, taking the books when she noticed the Digger's eyes widening. "What's wrong?"

"That reminds me. I sensed something from the woman, the daughter of Yang. I think she is a witch but somewhere she doesn't fit to be one," answered the Digger, "I don't know how to tell you this but she is different than a dark witch?"

"How could that be? Yang Jair and Yang Sunghoon are two dominant dark witches. There was no chance for their daughter to be something than a dark witch."

"I thought so to which why I didn't discuss about it before but it just caught my mind and didn't leave," said The Digger, still wondering about Seoyeon.

"Maybe you've mistaken it," Ava pushed the boom to her hand, brushing the matter off as she didn't see any importance. "I will go now. We should meet at our usual place," without waiting for the Digger's confirmation, Ava left the forest.

The Digger then saw her leave and somewhere he shook his head.
