Chapter 197 - Cemetery With You-I

The apartment was large as it takes one single floor. Frankly speaking the place was too luxurious for a single man to live in. Seojun began to venture quickly, checking from one room to another while skipping the room that was out of suspicions. When he arrived by a room, his hand pushed the door knob.

Unexpectedly the room was unlocked which saved Seojun from having to pick the lock of the door. Entering inside, his eyes sought around to see it was a study room. A single desk and chair were put far near the wall across the door and he saw book shelves places on almost all place where there was walls.

This was the pureblood's study room, thought Seojun and his lips twisted to a smile. The place was too suspicious and he closed the door behind him to search for everything he could find inside.

He saw there was a large painting behind the desk and continue to see how there was no single dust clouding the canvas or the frame. It was clear that someone always touch the picture frame and it must be Jung Hwa. As for why he would touch the picture frame was because the frame is the very key to perhaps open some door.

When he first entered, Seojun had also noticed there was a different air coming from the gap of the floor when he passed by a bookshelf. He could try to force open the door but by doing so, it would leave marks and sounds to notify the vampire and he decide to do it now the vampire did.

Placing his hand there, he was about to turn the frame when a hand touched his shoulders. Seojun was alarmed and his eyes snapped to see the old half vampire who stood behind him.

"I believe you are at the wrong place, mister Seojun. This room is not the washroom," added Alfred whose hand then was swatted by Seojun.

He frowned against the old vampire whose expression was with a smile. Any fool could tell Seojun was not at a wrong place but he had come to dig secrets inside the room. Alfred knew but he had used the softest words to speak.

For a momentum Seojun continued to stare at the old vampire in his thoughts before he pulled a smile. "My bad. This room looks like one. I will leave."

"I should lead you to where the washroom is," Alfred offered.

"No I will be fine. I know the way." All Seojun needs to do was to stop the old vampire from following him and enter the room again.

"However I would be troubled. Mister Jung was the one who told me to show you the way to the washroom. He doesn't want you to get lost or enter his bedroom or any other room like this," Alfred saw Seojun frowned. How did the pureblood knew? He was at the moment in the dining room but the way the housekeeper had said it. It was as if Jung Hwa had predicted this would happen.

"I will show you the way," added Alfred again and reluctantly Seojun went, walking to follow to the washroom.

Back to the dining room, his eyes didn't leave Jung Hwa and he didn't gaze the pureblood out of admiration but contempt. When the dinner ended and it was time for Seojun to leave, he didn't want to leave now, empty handed while leaving Seoyeon here that could be dangerous for her.

"Next time we should have a dinner together again, I know some good restaurant," said Jung Hwa to Seojun with a smile that was irksome but he had to play with the pureblood, feigning their friendliness in front of Seoyeon.

"No thank you, we can eat together only the two of us, right sister?" asked Seojun and Seoyeon smiled in reply. Was Seojun feeling lonely after a year more of living alone? Seoyeon can't help but dote and spoil Seojun who was her little brother.

"We should go when we have time," she replied within noticing the smile on Seojun's face widened in a smug while looking at Jung Hwa.

"Then we could eat together next time, Seoyeon," proposed Jung Hwa who then brought his hand to cover his chin. "But everyday we have been eating together just like a peaceful newlywed."

"Newlywed, haha." Seojun laughed in sarcasm and he turned his head to Seoyeon to look as if he remember something after staring at her face. Pulling something from his pocket, Seoyeon saw him fishing out a necklace to then settled the necklace on her hands. "I received this from my friend. He says it is a charm to protect you. I don't think I need this so you could have it."

Seoyeon pulled the necklace, taking sight of the pendant of star in silver color. It looked beautiful and it had Seoyeon to smile, "But your friend gave this to you."

"He didn't know what to do with the necklace he bought and gave it to me just to discard it. I don't wear any necklace either so I thought it would suit you," Seojun then try to pull something more from his trouser pocket when he frowned, "I can't find my phone."

"Maybe you left it on the dining room. I will get it for you," Seoyeon said before making way to take his phone. Seojun who was smiling then dropped his smile as there were only him and the pureblood now.

"So much for forgetting phone," remarked Jung Hwa with his lips quirking.

"Hmph, I don't know what your intentions are to my sister but you can't stay with her. If it is a human girl you want you can find them anywhere but not my sister. You don't suit her," Seojun bluntly pointed what he needed to.

The young hunter's words had Jung Hwa to unconditionally laugh. Seojun glared at him whose expression oozes wickedness that he didn't bother to hide, "Would you kindly tell me in which aspect am I not suited for her? I may sound bragging which I am but I have plenty of fortune enough that I don't have to work for another century, I managed to capture Seoyeon's heart with my look, and strong enough to protect her from your relatives who tried to kill her for eleven times." Saying the words, Jung Hwa lounged his finger to the hunter's shoulder to push.

It took a moment for Seojun to process Jung Hwa's words before his eyes flickered with rage, "What did you say?"

"That I have all qualities Seoyeon needed," Jung Hwa replied with a smile even though he knew what he replied was not the question.

Seojun pulled Jung Hwa's collar but he failed to pull the pureblood from the wall and Jung Hwa pushed his body by his legs to stand still, "No, what do you mean by eleven times?"

Jung Hwa widened his smile, his eyes color change to deep red as he pulled Seojun's hand from his shirt, "The attacked last time your aunt and uncle orchestrated was not the first time. They confessed their guilt when I stabbed their hand. Quite stubborn but in the end they spout everything they hid. They tried to kill Seoyeon for nine times by poison. Seeing that you don't know it, you must have failed protecting her while she is living in that house?"

Seojun's fist plunge forward and Jung Hwa stopped him effortlessly. With the height difference between them where Seojun failed four inches shorter, Jung Hwa's height hilled in front of him, "Don't you think you have to visit your aunt once again? Tell them that I wish them well and a happy long life."

Seoyeon came back when Seojun had pulled his hand away. She looked at the two where Jung Hwa was smiling and Seojun looking restless. Making her way, she passed Seojun's phone to his hand, "Are you okay, you don't look good?"

"I will be fine sister, are you alright too?" questioned Seojun in exchange and the question pulled more questions from Seoyeon's mind.

"I am but why?" Seoyeon inclined her head and she saw the expression Seojun made was a frown that could hardly ease.

"I just remembered something important to do. I promise I will come again next time," Seojun took the phone from her hand before making a quick run from the door, leaving Seoyeon confused.

Seojun didn't seem to be in a hurry just now. There was no way he got called as his phone was with her a moment ago. Slowly, she turn her face to the man who had been watching her keenly as if there was nothing else he could see other than her.

When she met his eyes, Seoyeon could tell her heart reverberated.

"I didn't do anything," Jung Hwa raised his hand as if to show his innocent. "I didn't induce any fights. He just remembered that he missed something in someone else's house and ran to fetch it."

"He told you that?"

Jung Hwa widened his smile on her words, "We have become close friend.. Just like an older brother and his little brother."
