Chapter 187 - Hand Through Chest-III

Once Jung Hwa left Che Hara sped up to escape from the building. Her hands were clinched tight when she recalled how she had gained Jung Hwa's suspicions. At first, she managed to avoid any skepticism from Jung Hwa but then her mouth blabbered a loophole and she was afraid if Jung Hwa knew.

Escaping the building in a hurry, Che Hara only want to leave the place as soon as possible before she did anything that could give her out to others. While she fled she didn't know the mourning family passed by the place and in particular the mother of the dead vampire, Mrs. Chu.

"Miss Hara," said Mrs. Chu is greeting. Seeing Che Hara, Mrs. Chu recount the question Jung Hwa posed her and can't help but to stop the woman who looked as if she was in a hurry. "I see that you came, did you heard the news?" questioned the older vampiress.

This was no good thought Che Hara to herself. She had made sure to enter and disappear like a phantom but her luck kept on slipping from her fingers. She managed to pull a small smile and offered a look of pity to Mrs. Chu. "Mrs. Chu, I am very sorry for your loss. Sunji was a very good person to hear that he was killed I... was very surprised," Che Hara shook her head, bringing her hand to her mouth.

Mrs. Chu who was reminded of her son cried again, sobbing that she missed Che Hara's vigilant gaze to gouge the elder vampiress' expression. "I know, he was such a good boy with a good heart," at least that was how Chu Sunji played as in front of his parents and Che Hara knew of it. "I am sorry that you came here as soon as you heard the news but Sunji have been move so the funeral could start. If you would want to see him again you can attend his funeral tomorrow."

Mrs. Chu continued without knowing her misunderstanding. Che Hara had indeed dropped by the building to see Chu Sunji but it was only from afar. She didn't want any mud to come to her and had been careful of it. The younger vampiress decided to play off according to Mrs. Chu's misunderstanding.

"Of course I will," she squeezed Mrs. Chu's hand warmly, "I will be sure to come please take care of yourself, Mrs. Chu. Sunji would be sad if he knows you are depressed."

Before Che Hara left, her eyes didn't miss the grin that appeared on Gu Manyeong. The vampire was one of the best bachelors around the vampire's society but he was known as the clouded one. Unlike Sunji, Gu Manyeong was a child from a mistress which explained his surname was different than Chu Sunji. Mrs. Chu may seem to accept the son of a mistress but sometimes truth is uglier than it look.

The problem that caught Che Hara was why Gu Manyeong would grinned at her as if he was mocking her. What was the vampire smiling at? It wasn't as if they know each other and the smile had Che Hara to frown. She didn't see Gu Manyeong to eye because the man was the som of a mistress, seeing him as a shabby person. After speaking, Che Hara who was in a foul mood didn't continue to dwell and left back to her home.

"How is the party Hara? It had been a long time that you stay the night at your friend's house." Her father's voice came when she entered the house and Che Hara gave a sweet smile on her lips. It was a lie that she tell her father that she had a party she needed to urgently come to and settled there until morning.

"It went well. I received a very warm welcome. Dad I feel very sleepy and tired, can I go to my room and tell you everything later?" Her father accessed her face which did look haggard and immediately agreed to his dear daughter's request. "I will tell mom later that I came back after I rest."

Once Che Hara was in her room, her smiling expression turn one that was in fear. She scattered to her bed, her hand pressing her aching head. How did it come to this? This wasn't supposed to happen. Chu Sunji wasn't supposed to be dead! Che Hara could still remember when it started to go wrong one day before Chu Sunji's death.

'I am sure I would get back to what he did to me with this method,' said Chu Sunji, his red hair that was unruly looked dusty darker as the light failed to reach him completely as the two passed by a hotel which was made in purpose for vampires to have a blood festival. It was where vampires could drink directly from a human's neck as humans that came to the place knew of the existence of vampire.

Che Hara liked the activity of drinking blood from a human's neck as it gave her a sense of being the one in control of human's life that was fragile. It was one of her way to vent her anger whenever she was on a bad day. But today Che Hara came not only to relinquish the anger that accumulated when remembering Jung Hwa had taken a fond of a mere human girl. She appeared early to have a talk with Chu Sunji who wish to embarrass Jung Hwa.

'Method?' Che Hara was confused what the vampire was talking of. There was an extent where one could be delusional but Chu Sunji has it worse than others.

'Someone offered me a way to win against Jung Hwa and I find this way is very clever. They promise to help me if I could let them enter the Associate's building,' said the vampire to have Che Hara frown.

'It is not acceptable for anyone outside the Associate to enter the building. If they know, you will have to face a heavy punishment. No one have ever succeed to enter the ground without being known. I think you should think again about your choice.' Not that she was worried of but this was plainly stupid to her eyes.

Chu Sunji laughed it off, 'It's simple as long as no know. I am telling this only to you. The person told me not to tell everyone because they would not like it but I doubt they would know as long as you keep it as a secret.'

'Who is this person then? Tell me a clue,' and perhaps she could use this chance to shine to Jung Hwa by telling that there was a stupid vampire who was about to try and defeat him. A smile appeared on her face as if she everything had fallen to her favor.

'That I can't. They told me not to tell," Chu Sunji brought the coffee cup to drink.

Why could he tell the other but not this? questioned Che Hara. The vampire was being cocky and she didn't like it. 'You can tell me, I promise to keep this a secret.'

'Well this one is quite frightening. They told me if I ever say anyone of their name, they would kill me. Even though it would never be possible because the person is a human,' Chu Sunji laughed, appearing to be in the peak of his mood as he had found a way to avenge the finger that was broken by Jung Hwa. 'But I know I could tell you. The other person is a woman, her name is Danni, I don't think it is her real name.'

Before evening, Chu Sunji told her that he would come to the associate building at night, to snuck and bring the person. Thinking this was her chance to help Jung Hwa and receive a positive feedback that could maybe lead them to be in a relationship. The vampiress has dreamt high and went to prepare by coming very early in evening before the sky turn dark to settle inside the associate building without no one knowing.

When it was time, she saw Chu Sunji near the backyard. Che Hara went closer to have a better look and hear toward them but when she was close, her body turned cold at the sight she saw.

The woman who cane with Chu Sunji inside the trunk pierced her hand to Chu Sunji's chest, taking his heart out from his body. Chu Sunji was stricken shocked. His eyes met the woman with wide eye in disbelief, 'What are you doing Danni! Give me back my heart...' his voice fail weaker as he felt his body turning cold. At the same time Danni crushed his heart, Chu Sunji's body fell to the ground.

The witchess stared at the body before her leg kicked Sunji's head, ""Tch, useless! Useless! All of you are useless!' shouted the woman alone with her expression distorted. When the woman's face turned over toward Che Hara's direction, a malicious smile come on her lips and she ran passing the place in a speed that was inhumane.

But when Danni stopped at the place, Che Hara had disappeared. 'Tch!'

Back to Che Hara who was currently in her bed room, she felt chill. She had bluffed out to her father by saying she spend a night on someone else's house when in truth she had stayed in the Associate's building until morning in fear. She wanted to leave early but was too afraid to leave and decided to leave the building once everyone had found Chu Sunji's body that was buried near the graveyard.

Who was that woman? Che Hara asked herself in panic, warming her hand together that felt cold in fear.
