Chapter 174 - Knocking On Doors-II

Jung Hwa could see how the man seem to be holding one side amour to Seoyeon. With an eye to observe Kwon Han, Jung Hwa could tell that compared to him, the man came as lesser. He may had the handsome face to human but then it was still less in comparison to him.

"I would like you not to get weird ideas about her," Jung Hwa added and he watched how the man in front of him frowned, clearly taking his words to a bad place.

"I haven't asked Miss Seoyeon yet if she is in a relationship but I do think she isn't having any relationship now with you," the man named Kwon Han answered. "You two don't look like people with feeling for each other."

"You are quick to make a judge. I wouldn't blame you, if you have the idea. Seoyeon is a beautiful woman, she attracts many like you. But your idea will continue to remain one. How is the hunters doing?" asked Jung Hwa for the man's eyes to look at him with a startled expression that was short as Kwon Han turned his expression to an unexpressive one.

"You are a vampire." Kwon Han stated and a hostile glint he had deepened to his eyes while looking at the vampire.

"Took you long enough to notice that I begin to question if Hunters are all like you. Slow," Jung Hwa remarked and his eyes narrowed after gouging the man's feature. "If you get it now go. You may now be a hunter but in the end you are a human. You should know how different power come after look when a human and vampire is compared do you?"

"I could tell if you are a vampire but you are not only a vampire. You are a pureblood vampire," asserted Kwon Han. "In terms you speak I may not be eminent, but I am not bad myself. Much more do you know what will happen in most romance between vampires and humans? They don't end up well. The hunters and me think it is better for humans to marry humans and vampires to mingle with their own kind. That will make less people miserable." Tone of disgust came on the man's words who saw vampires asa disaster.

"You are speaking of most but there are the minority of vampire and human coupled who live for a very long time without single hitch. Only to see the most is small minded. And I don't think I have to mention how marriage between humans with their own kind doesn't guarantee it would end well, would you," Jung Hwa's smile disappeared form his face seeing the man who had thought far in his cloud nine that Seoyeon would like him. The confidence was stupid, thought Jung Hwa. "I don't think you can handle Seoyeon either. Keep dreaming high and you will fall hard. Better stop dreaming then, right?"

Jung Hwa didn't continue to stand there and turn to leave Kwon Han whose face was marred in disgust after seeing the vampire. Why would a pureblood vampire taking a fancy to a human? Pureblood vampire only marry with other pureblood, in order to strengthen their blood line. Kwon Han found it hard to believe that Jung Hwa was serious in taking Seoyeon. The man sank in silence before he turn to walk to his car.

Seoyeon, on the other hand, felt uncomfortable before while standing between Kwon Han and Jung Hwa. This was the second time Kwon Han had caught her hands. Was it possible that the man likes her?

"Continue to pour sugar to my tea, I see," Seoyeon heard Jung Hwa's voice and her eyes snapped at him. "I don't like sweet things but your blood is sweet so rather than sugars, would you give me your blood?"

Seoyeon was grateful she had hold to the sugar cup hard or else, it would have flew from her hands out of surprise. "I will bring blood pack-"

"No, I want you," Jung Hwa held her hand, and his fingers sank down to the gaps of her hand. Remembering how someone was having his eyes on Seoyeon made a snap sound on the back of his mind. "That man from earlier. He is a hunter," said Jung Hwa and Seoyeon who have heard the words somewhere in between Jung Hwa's conversation in the past, tilted her head.

"What is hunters?" The name tells it all but she question herself what did they hunt to be called one.

"Humans who dislike vampires. Not all of them hate vampires as there are very few I found who find vampires tolerable. They work to protect humans and hunt down Hollowed vampires from attacking humans," Seoyeon heard him speak, "You should be careful of him. The being hunters put an eye to isn't only hollowed vampires, pureblood vampires who turn humans to hollowed if they are not done well, and witches."

Seoyeon blinked, "Does that mean he came because he knew I was a witch?" That explain why Seoyeon felt very uncomfortable when she touched the hunters. Maybe she had a bad compatibility with hunters by being a witch.

"No. Your secret is safe with me and the white witch in the Associates, I promise to prevent anyone from knowing our little secret," assured Jung Hwa and Seoyeon felt a sense of comfort in her heart. "But he knew I am a pureblood vampire." He dropped a hint without elaborating any further that the hunter learned his identity a few minute ago.

"Then, did he came to me because he knew you are a pureblood vampire?" If they hated Jung Hwa, they would use every means to take him down and perhaps the person thought that by speaking to her, they would find out of Jung Hwa's weakness. "Why would the hunters do that, you didn't do anything to them or turn humans to vampire."

Jung Hwa pulled his grin wider, "They discriminates pureblood but much more me. I don't turn humans to vampire ever in my entire life but I have broken some limbs of hunters," receiving Seoyeon's look she gave, Jung Hwa added, "In my own defense."

"How many hunters' hands you have broken?" asked Seoyeon with curiosity to be replied with Jung Hwa's smile and his silence. "You don't remember?"

Jung Hwa shook his head, "Will you remember how many ants you have killed or stepped on by accident or not? It's similar to that. I taught them some lesson. Not to point their hands, not to speak rubbish, and much more I dislike was to push blame on others. They blame all pureblood for the death of their family. Even though they have enough brain and hatred to remember the face of vampire that had killed their family."

"There should be a way than to resort violence," replied Seoyeon. She knew this was the way Jung Hwa grew up to be. Something that was teach since childhood was hard to change when one grew up. "If you keep fighting with others, they would back stab you one day. Lesser enemy is better life."

"I didn't broke their hands to the point it could not be fix. It takes only a month to heal from the broken bone. If you think about it, I am being generous. You do know I am a very inpatient man, don't you. But for you I am being one." Jung Hwa knew by looking at Seoyeon's face how she was touched by his words. "Just keep your distance from the hunter. If he knew you are a witch, he would resort to violence in name to put you to rest and save mankind. They always use the same words every time they killed a hollowed vampire."

Seoyeon felt his hand left hers and from the gaps between her fingers she felt somewhat lonely with the fingers that held her before. "How would they know if I am a witch or if you are a vampire?" By using the powder again? questioned Seoyeon in her mind.

"Their bloodline gave them the ability to detect vampires and much stronger when it comes to hollowed vampires. I don't know about witches as I never see them hunt for one but it's better to be safe. Don't get too close, don't drink or eat anything he gave or touch him. You'll never know the trick they have up on their sleeve." Jung Hwa warned and Seoyeon agreed with his words.

She saw Jung Hwa making his way to the door of the pantry where they were, and he said, "Once everything in the company is sort out we will be going to the fortune teller's place."

"Alright." When the door closed, Seoyeon wondered if the fortune teller would be a normal person but somewhere she doubt they will.. The fortune teller was the same person who had claimed to her aunt and uncle she was a being that brought misfortune.
