Chapter 171 - Mystic Dream-II

Seoyeon opened her eyes, wondering why she had woke up when everything around her was still dark. Standing up from where she was sitting, it took her a while to realize she was not on her bed but from the ground.

Where was she? Seoyeon touched her head where she felt a headache coming before pushing herself from the place. She looked around the place, finding herself at lost where she was.

The last thing Seoyeon remembered was that she stayed in her room which belonged to Jung Hwa's house. So why was she here now? Seeing how the sky was dark, Seoyeon noticed it was the time of night had she slept only for an hour. That explain why she felt headache from the lack of sleep.

But where was she? Looking around she saw that she was in a forest. The tree was tall enough to almost cover the moonless sky. A howl come from behind her which sounded very similar to the wolf's howl. Chill caught to her body and she felt how the air gradually turn freezing.

It was hard to tell if she was dreaming or she had been moved to the middle of the forest. But it was impossible. Jung Hwa wouldn't leave her in the forest out of no reason when she was asleep. Then this was her dream? It felt too real to be one.

The forest made her felt eerie. Seoyeon had took pride on how she had never dream or see nightmare before. Yet out of all place her first dream of possibly nightmare she wished it wasn't was forest.

A feeling told Seoyeon she shouldn't be here and the place was dangerous. When she walk from the place, going blind on her way as she didn't know where she was, her feet felt painful. She looked down to se how she was walking barefoot which was no wonder she felt hurt. But the pain was not worth mention as it was a tolerable pain to her.

"I told you not there," whispered someone from afar and Seoyeon heard the sound of metals shaking. "It must be somewhere over there, you see that tree the tallest one? It must be that one."

She watched how there was a glow in the dark forest. She questioned herself if it was people who were lost in the forest. As there would be no other reason for people to be in the middle of forest late at night. She followed the people, whose body was covered in one piece of long black cloak, silently as somewhere she feared that the people would have a bad intention.

She continued to follow them hoping they were making their way out of the forest when they stopped under a tree. "Dig it here!" shouted the man and the other five men came to bring their shovel to dig around the place.

"We can't find it here either," said the man after a long time digging the soil under the tree and Seoyeon watched everything from afar with her body crouching behind the bushes so no one could saw her.

"It's the Queen's order we can't leave the forest unless we found it. Ask who remember where they have buried it!" yelled the man as Seoyeon's eyes turn wide at their words.

Queen? Seoyeon asked herself. Why would there be queen in Korea in the modern time?

Seoyeon kept questioning but she found something. The men who were wearing long cloak covering themself were not searching for the way out but something they buried underground. The torch they hold burned brighter when the people gathered in one place.

Seoyeon silently move like a shadow to one person who was standing near a tree. She noticed the man was the only one who didn't move, clearly showing the difference of their status. It was evident that he was the one who lead the brigade.

She hid behind the tree of the man to then hear another man spoke before him, "If we couldn't find it by this morning the Queen will kill us."

"Which is why we have to search for the coffin soon. How could they kill her and buried her somewhere without remembering where they buried her coffin?" asked the man witch a severe expression. "We still have seven hours make sure to find clue."

Who did they killed? As Seoyeon was expecting this was her dream. A dream was an expression of her fantasy but she felt it was odd with how real everything felt. The pain in her leg that keeping her awake and the whispers of the forest that brushed her skin.

Seoyeon shuddered and waited to the place to see what would happened when from afar a shout came clear, "Here! Here is it we found it here!"

The man Seoyeon hid behind pushed himself from the tree, and went closer at the same time, Seoyeon who had crouched for too long felt her legs fell asleep and fall forward to the bush, revealing herself to the men.

God no! Seoyeon shouted in her mind when she fall. She hoped this will be the end of her dream, not wanting to see the continuation until she noticed the men seemed to have not notice her even though she was right in front of them. Her appearance should be full of question but it was as if they couldn't see her.

Taking courage, Seoyeon went out from the shades and she walked toward the men. Waving her hand to the face of one man, she confirmed that she was invisible to the people in the forest.

"Pull it out, carefully. We can't harm it," said the man and Seoyeon curiously make her way toward the men. "Be on stance!" On the word, the men pulled a sword which seemed more like a large saber to Seoyeon's eyes.

The men stood with their swords pulled in front of them toward the coffin as if they were afraid the being inside the coffin would kill them. But only body of a person that had passed away would be in the coffin, thought Seoyeon. Why would the people be afraid of a dead body?

"We are going to open the coffin be...wa..." said the man whose voice faded to Seoyeon's ears to a voice she felt familiar the most, "...up. Wake up, Seoyeon."

Seoyeon snapped her eyes wide. As if she hadn't breathed while she was sleeping, her body huffed for airs. She stared at the ceiling before she pushed herself from the bed, to sit and feel her heartbeat racing. When she brought her hand to wipe her forehead, she saw the dribbled of sweats gliding from her skin.

"Are you alright?" It was Jung Hwa's voice beside her ears and she turned her face immediately to see him. Seeing his face, the uncomfortable anxiousness she felt in her heart felt as if she had been touched with a very warm feeling that comforted her. "You slept a lot," he remarked, "I thought to come and wake you up when I see you whining in your sleep. Did you dream of a nightmare?"

Seoyeon closed her eyes to open and see Jung Hwa better as her eyes felt hazy. "I don't know, I think I did," she replied and touched her head. She tried to think of what she dreamt, trying to remember her journey in her nightmare and recollect a few but not to the details as if waking up resulted in her memory going chaotic.

Jung Hwa stops from his chair and only came back to give her a glass of water, "Drink this," he placed it on her hand and Seoyeon whispered him thank you to raise the glass to her lips, drinking everything without leaving a single drop.

Seoyeon drank while Jung Hwa watched her expression with a casual look. No grin was on his lips but he didn't look intimidating either. It was a known fact to Jung Hwa that humans are different from vampires. In term of physical power and mental fortitude.

Seoyeon wasn't weak in mental compared to others and Jung Hwa may have teased her for a scaredy-cat but she wasn't a person who was easily frightened. Last night events must have scared her.

"How are you feeling now?" asked Jung Hwa with a gentle voice he rarely use and it was Seoyeon's first time to hear the voice he used.

"Better. I never had a nightmare before maybe it's the reason why I felt the dream more impactful," as swedes Seoyeon as she passed the glass for Jung Hwa to place it on the small cupboard beside the bed.

"So that was your first nightmare?" asked Jung Hwa for Seoyeon to nod.

"I dreamt some of my past but not much to be called as nightmare," Seoyeon answered him, "but today was a fictional dream and I felt a little jumpy- aw!"

Jung Hwa who sat down narrowed his eyes when Seoyeon yelped in pain. "My feet," Seoyeon said as her brows pulled tight.

In one swift movement, Jung Hwa pushed the cover which was covering her legs. He stared at her snowy white skin but not for too long as the pain Seoyeon felt was a pressing matter. Pulling her legs, he saw how there was nothing wrong with her calf but the problem fell to the soles of her foot. Dried blood was on her leg, where there were cut wounds.

Seoyeon saw the cute on her legs and the pain she felt reminded her of her own dream where she had walked in the forest barefooted and wounded her feet there.

But that was a nightmare, isn't it?
