Chapter 125 - Witchess’ Anger-I

"Silly girl, why would I kill you? I told you I love you." He again spoke the word love lightly but she could feel it wasn't as light as it sounded. She didn't know yet how to respond on his words. "Why do you think that?" He asked and saw how her eyes looked at him turned hesitant.

Seoyeon's lips pursed, her eyes went on him and carefully, she spoke, "Your mother... she died on the hand of the witches and I thought you hated them." It was what she heard. She had seen how Jung Hwa didn't shined away from his hatred nor anger. He was someone who would bask in the hatred and come out with the worse version of him no one would ever want to see. Their time was short but she could know him this much.

As she expected he spoke, "I hate them of course. Until now. But you're different, sweetie. You are you." He brushed her cheeks, the touched were soft and the gentleness no one would expect to come from him. Seoyeon felt something tingled in her heart as if her whole body shivered at the words he spoke gently. He then shifted the topic to ask, "Do you remember which orphanage did you come from?"

Seoyeon nodded her head. The distance between them now were not too close but it isn't far away either. Their only light was the moon and although they lack of light it was enough for them to see the person against them. "I do. It's far from here."

"Not to worry, I have ride for us to go there. When we have our time, we'll go there and find your parents." Seoyeon who was also curious of her biological parents who could be a witch also wondered how would they look like. But then she remembered the orphanage where she lived before. It was never the best place for her, instead it was the place where only her fear came from.

"Let's go back. We can't have you stay up until night." Jung Hwa reached out her hand for her to take again. Seoyeon looked at his hand, her eyes fell at his large long fingers that waited for her to take. Seeing that Seoyeon still held her hand on her side, Jung Hwa slipped his hand to her fingers, tugging it.

"What about the wolf?" asked Seoyeon an at the same time, the wolf that had been sleeping began to move its tail, as if knowing that the two were about to leave.

Jung Hwa followed her eyes to the wolf, finding nothing out of place, "What do you mean by that?"

"I thought you will bring him to your home?" She asked unsure. She found it odd how he let the wolf out in the forest when the wolf was easily tamed by Jung Hwa and she doubt it comes without a reason. The wolf must have taken a liking to the pureblood and Jung Hwa seemed to be fond of the wolf too.

Jung Hwa hummed seeming to be taking her words into consideration, "Their lifetime is shorter than me. He wouldn't like to be with me to be watch and die." The wolf who had woken up, suddenly stood straight and raised his paw to his shoes.

Seoyeon watched how the wolf looked at him, "I don't think that's true, he seem to like you."

"Well, he did help me today by gaining your trust." Seoyeon rolled her eyes at his words. "I'll arrange something for him." After his words, they left the place. While looking at the forest which was not much to look at with how dark the place was, Seoyeon enjoyed the wind brushing to her face which felt cold and breezy.

"Will you name him? I don't think wolfie is a proper name." she asked as her steps descending down and thought that if she ever come to this place again, she would never where high heels that could lead her to accident. Not to mention, holding Jung Hwa's hand for a long time made her felt the awkwardness reaching to her ears.

"What will you name him?" He replied her question with another one.

Not expecting to be asked, Seoyeon gave her own thought but found that naming was hard, "I don't know, what did you think when you first met him?"

"Nothing." Jung Hwa replied coldly. Seoyeon could tell how his tone having the boredom and a sense of neglect. There was many sides of Jung Hwa she hadn't know yet. This part of him she found was just a glimpse. Hearing how her sweet girl had stopped talking, his eyes turned at her, the smile he had softly widened as it wasn't there before. "Is it weird for me not to think of anything?"

"I don't think it is." She replied her eyes on her feet moved to him, "Sometimes or maybe not sometimes, people move without thinking and having no first impression isn't rare either."

"Do you know that by now most people would have run away from me?" He stated, taking his own mirth in his words, "But you don't fear me despite seeing what I could do."

Seoyeon felt his hand and when her body tilted forward, she held his hand stronger to avoid falling down. She looked up at him, seeing the back of his head as he walked before her, "As long as you don't hurt me, I will not run." The words she said was rhetorical but when her words had escaped without being able to be pulled back, a certain light flickered on Jung Hwa's eyes that made his eyes turned red as his grin broadened.

At the point, they have arrived at the path where the car was parked at and Jung Hwa pulled her hand closer, "Remember your words." He could tell Seoyeon hadn't hold a deep meaning to her words but he wouldn't let her words went with emptiness.

Against his fierce eyes, Seoyeon recalled the words she had said and slowly she nodded her words to receive his smile.. Upon entering the car, Seoyeon sat down in the silence, feeling how in the silence she and the pureblood beside her could hear her heart beating loud.
