Chapter 87 - A Lick-I

"Secretary Han?" Seoyeon turned her face in surprise and saw Lee Sunny curious gaze. She thought Lee Sunny and Kang Taehee was still at the same page where they have left on earlier and purse to open her lips when Kang Taehee spoke,

"Forget about your makeup today, it looks good, you don't have to ask everyone you met today about your makeup, I know! We should go in now, right? Let's not wait for the others, they're going to come anyway." So they were not pestering her for an answer, thought Seoyeon. Han Seoyeon exhaled a breath in relief feeling she had been saved and when she peeked through the glass and see Jung Hwa, the pureblood vampire had turned his eyes toward the guests, speaking and miss the moment Kwon Huan was staring at her.

Seoyeon missed the gaze but the pureblood vampire didn't when he knew the man's heartbeat started to beat in a different way.

"Anything good to look at outside?" Jung Hwa questioned. His black eyes were overshadowed by the color of redness hinting deep inside his pupils.

Kwon Huan snapped his eyes from outside turning to smile, "No, I just thought I saw someone who I have seen before."

Jung Hwa chuckled, "It seemed the world is small for you meet someone again twice." he hinted.

"It seems so." Kwon Huan replied then blinked at Jung Hwa, "Did I say that I have just met them twice?"

"I'm guessing and it seem my guess was correct." Replied Jung Hwa.

Seoyeon was busy outside after the guests came and didn't have the time to think of anything until she receive a call from Jung Hwa. When she arrived, he was already at his office with his legs crossed and his expression was serious while working. His eyes stopped and move at her when she entered the office and she could see how his usual grin wasn't etched on his lips.

"Did everything went well with the meeting?" she asked wondering if he was in a bad mood like how she thought he was.

"Everything went well." he hummed and she found that his express was somewhat composed. "Do you know the guest earlier?"

Han Seoyeon thought which guest and who to recall the man who had held her wrist and asked, "Do you mean the CEO of W&W?"

Jung Hwa glanced up and stared at her expression before saying, "Judging by your words, you do not know him." he concluded, "So how did he knows you?" the question was directed toward her but at the same time it wasn't.

"I never seen him before." she trailed but when they first met in the lobby, the man had held her hand tight immediately asking for her name and though she still thought it was a rude to do in their first time meeting, she guessed that the man must have mistaken her for someone else.

"And?" Jung Hwa asked waiting for her continuation.

"But he seems to know me or maybe he took me as a wrong person." Jung Hwa narrowed his eyes at this. He hummed but it was hard to tell without his grin whether he was thinking or was keeping down of his emotions.

"Did he do something to you?"

"Did something? He only touched m-"

"Touch?" Jung Hwa rose from his chair, as his height was inches taller than her, she could feel how his shadow widened and towered before her, eliminating all the lights which came from the thin white curtain of the window.

She flinched part out of surprise and the other was because she had never seen the expression he had on his face now. Even when he was fighting with the witchesses, she never seen him stop smiling and even if the world was divided into two she doubted he would become panic and perhaps would still be able to laugh heartily. However now, his expression was sharp and the color of his eyes had morphed into deep red.

The soles of his leather shoes stopped when the top reach Seoyeon's heels. There was no way where she could avoid to see his handsome face which was now lined by shadow but the darkness didn't deter his sharp features. His black hair had fallen off the place, covering some of his red eyes to created a vivid burning color like ambers.

Seoyeon moved one step back but she didn't succeed as she was pulled by his hand forward, "Where did he touched you?"

"M-My hand." Seoyeon's voice turned low in whispers and she stutter. She had always been a brave person even when she met witches or she had to kill one to help Jung Hwa thought there maybe some of her fears such as darkness and spiders her eyes never wavered but in the taunting air where he seemed to be in a line of anger, she couldn't help but feel her heart rippled.

"Hm? I didn't caught your words. Where?" before she replied again, his finger touched her palm, sliding down to her fingers and stopped when his hand had found its way to her shoulder. "Here?" He questioned when there was no answer, he continued to her neck and stopped on her chin, "Where?"

Seoyeon gulped when she felt his cold finger at her chin, "My hand." this time she spoke clearer and finding how he had pushed her a little over her edge he tucked his hand down, his expression looked much clearer now.

"Which one?" She looked at his right palm he had spread and showed toward her.

Seoyeon didn't know what was going on too much, she took the right hand that Kwon Huan held and placed it gingerly on his palm. "Mister Jung, is there anything wrong?"

"There is. The person who had touched you, the hand he touched everything is wrong." He pressed his words letting her know how much it was a problem to him to know that the girl he like had some unknown ruffian touching her. He looked up at her eyes which crinkled with innocence and pureness which was never touched by anyone and found her eyes that had never avoided his was still looking at him in surprise and could tell, there was something more than only surprise in her eyes.

She then heard him said, "This can't do."
