Chapter 85 - Bursting In-II

The room was silent for a moment as he drank the tea, she looked at him finding his necktie and recall how hard it was for her to tie his necktie this morning. She hoped that tomorrow, her heartbeat could calm down while facing him because in a close range she was afraid that Jung Hwa would know why her heart was drumming.

"Have this." Jung Hwa called, breaking her thought and she walked beside his desk to see a long rectangular box.

"This is?" she asked to open the box and saw macaroons stacked beautifully with colors in front of her. "Macaroons?"

"I will be taking the box Kang Taehee gave you and in exchange you could have that." A compensation? Seoyeon asked and as if he could read her thoughts, he said, "I don't want you to eat anything that come from an unknown man, Seoyeon and with all their hidden attentions." His eyes grew sharp and when he had uttered the last sentence, he look at her meaningfully.

Seoyeon stared at him. She wasn't imagining did she? Was Jung Hwa being jealous now? Her stomach felt fizzy with the thoughts that rioted in their mind which made her hard to understand what was happening across her eyes.

"I'm quite a possessive man, Seoyeon. I wouldn't allow anyone trying to sweeten you up. It's enough if it was me and you don't need to see others." Jung Hwa cleared her question as if he had read her mind once again.

She had about to part her lips saying words when a knock came across Jung Hwa's office. Jung Hwa tched, he almost heard her words but it was soon cut by the person. However, he could hear that it was an important one and spoke, "Come in."

Seoyeon didn't know whether she had been saved from the trial or perhaps she was unfortunate. When Jung Hwa told the person to come in, it was Lee Sunny who had come entering the room, she first greeted Jung Hwa with a hurried bow then look toward Seoyeon.

"What is it?" Jung Hwa clipped tone made Lee Sunny to understand that she had perhaps intrude something important between Secretary Han and the CEO.

"The guest from W&W has come a little earlier than the appointed time, should we show the, directly to the meeting room?" she asked hesitantly and her eyes flew over to Seoyeon who would always took care of the matter as Jung Hwa's secretary.

"Wait Ms. Lee, I will go." said Seoyeon before she left, she looked at Jung Hwa and lightly darted her eyes. She felt she should say something but find nothing on her lips and leave the room. Jung Hwa leaned his back to his desk, a grin appeared to the corner of his lips. Seoyeon was more adorable than he thought of. Just a single touch made her on edge and to break her shell seemed hard at first but on a second thought, he didn't think it would be hard now.

Jung Hwa then shifted his eyes to the window outside, his black pupils glowed red before turning dark, staying in the borderline of black and red as he remembered his friend's words, 'You fell for someone?'. He knew why his grandfather or his friend was surprise at the revelation he had fall in love because since long before, the word love was hard to be associated to him.

It wasn't because that he was allergic to love or think it was foolish to fall in love but he had never experience any of it. Whether it was attachment or love, other than the family he had blood relation with, he had none that he could spare to others. But it was different when he first saw Seoyeon. It was funny when he thought of their first meeting was not the best but when he saw her he felt as if she was what he was searching for. It was a weird feeling that he couldn't describe. Something just told him that she was what he was searching for.

The second time they met was not in the cafe but rather in a white surface of a paper. As he had been searching for a secretary who could work under him in professional manner, he met her again on the paper of applicants. She looked different than the first time they met. Her hair was dark in color, looking smooth even through pictures that his finger want to go through the soft strands. Her face had less makeup which suit her more as it showed her free nature. She was posing as serious as she could and her smile seemed practiced. The sharp corners of her eyes were looking at the camera like the cat he thought she was.

There was no way that Jung Hwa would let the opportunity go and immediately chose her as his secretary. When she first met him, he could sense her loud heartbeat and the surprised eyes she used while staring at him. There was a few time where she tried to confirm he didn't know her which only riled him up to tease her and he did by instructing her to make few cups of tea for multiple times and funnily enough when he thought he should stopped her after the fifth cup, she stared at him with a contempt look but also waiting for his compliments of the tea. Seeing the expression, he couldn't help but bully her again a little while.

Then the day she came asking for his help, he found himself agreeing to her request no matter what it was which surprised himself too. He wasn't someone who would plan to the tiniest little details but he also wasn't a person who would strike to an enemy base without a plan especially to the people who had killed his mother. But there was no hesitation nor regret he had for agreeing to her request. Her thanks was enough for everything. Jung Hwa knew her stubbornness but he also knows how she had slowly attracted to him and perhaps not slowly anymore since her heartbeat would raise when their eyes met.

His grin spread equally, spreading to a wide smile before his black eyes switched from the color of black to red.
