Chapter 63 - Act-III

She turned her eyes around roaming through all the place wondering if she could find anything that could help her get out of the witches' lair.

"Mistress, we have tried to use the potion to the vampire bit unfortunately we were not able to infect the woman completely to hallowed vampires." reported the woman who was small enough for one to be mistaken for a young girl in her teenage years. The two stood put in front of the room where there were stalls separated with red bricks of walls closed with iron bars.

"What have you found?" asked the woman her beautiful face smiled sweetly covering up her innermost malice heart. Her black hair was parted in the middle to creat two streams of hair which covered her ears. Her lips were dark in a color of red like a color of an aged wine.

"I apologize mistress but I couldn't find anything wrong in the potion." replied the girl. Her name was Hyeana, a witchess who looked like a girl in the age of a middle schooler girl but in truth she was far older that triple the amounts of age she looked like. When she recalled the time she had find that all the vampires she had injected with the potion which was able to turn a vampire to hollowed was defective her face was contoured with anger and distress.

"That is odd," hummed the woman Hyena called her as mistress with much respect. "I remember well that we have followed the right procedure written in that book, so what was wrong? Hyena did you follow the steps I wrote properly?" her voice was gentle like melody. As the two was speaking of a serious matter, they both stopped in the long hallway just right about ten steps away from the door of the room where Wan Seulgi was.

"I did." replied Hyena the young witchess.

"I don't doubt you, perhaps the white witchess we used to read the potion mixture in the book had lied or perhaps missed a few solutions which are important to affect the potions' prowess." and when she had said the words, Hyena could tell clearly the mistress face was unhappy as she was feeling the same vexed emotion as her mistress.

"We should have tortured the white witchess with a more painful method." replied Hyena, her lips twisted into a smile.

"That we should." The woman snickered. "But what have been done is done, we should catch another white witch and force them to read the book." she turned her black eyes, asking, "Have you found out of the location of the white witches?"

"Yes, mistress." replied Hyena, her small face held a smile still.

"Those white witches have always been on our way and now see what happened to them. There are no single human who could still remember their being that even their descendants didn't know what they were." said the woman with a smile. "We have barely time for our next plan. It wouldn't be good if we are too late. I will be going to fetch the white witch." she said, picking the black shawl she had been holding on her right hand she posed on her waist, she raised it to cover her shoulder.

Seeing the mistress about to leave, Hyena lit her eyes she said, "I will come with you mistress."

"That's not needed. Just one of us is enough and I want to directly hear their words." she said then when she was about to turn her body, she recalled something to say, "What about the living human that you caught?"

"She should do good for us to use as a vessel for the curse, mistress." said Hyena her mouth watered at the thought that she would be able to use the skin of the woman after they have used her soul as a sacrifice.

"Good." the woman's shoulder moved up and down when she laughed eerily. "Keep a watch on the human girl and wait until I come back."

"Yes mistress!" responded Hyena with a wide smile.

Once her mistress have went out of the place, Hyena turned to walk over the door of Wan Seulgi's room. As the floor was made with bricks, each time her shoe take a step one after another, a footsteps sound could be heard by Wan Seulgi as the witchess came nearer.

Her head was thrown in instant panic. She quickly fixed her position once again to the floor and shut her eyes tight with her heart drumming in her ears. Her heart was screaming and every cell in her body was screaming out of fright which she couldn't let out from her mouth.

Hyena pushed open the door, her eyes reaching to find the matchbox and pull one to flick it over the box for the friction to create fire. After lighting a few candlesticks to light up the room, Hyena first walk over to the cells that kept sacrifices. By using her sight she could peek between her eyelids, Wan Seulgi saw the yellowish light moving closer to her place and her heart rushing faster than ever.

Hyena feet stopped in front of her and to Wan Seulgi she thought it was weird. For some reason, the shoes that was used by the witchess was small like a size of a child. Her confusion was confirmed when Hyena spoke,

"Still alive," Hyena hummed.

Wan Seulgi gulped from the words the witchess said. Was she going to be killed? Then she saw the shadow bellow the feet diminished as the witches bent her knees down in front of her, the candle holder she placed on her hand moved down to stop at the floor.

Wan Seulgi didn't dare to make a sound, her breaths was getting hard to catch and her heart felt painful from the fear that was eating her alive. She knew the witches seemed to be alone as she hear no other sound of people than the young girl in front of her but she had seen what a witch could do and didn't dare to do anything rash. She could only pray to God that the witches would spend a second to see her breathing which she didn't know she had thread carefully or otherwise....
