Chapter 46 - Suspected-I

Deok Ji Hyeang who stood beside Jung Hwa stared at the view as though he didn't care what had happened to his fellow colleague. Vampires had low attachment to the people near them but when they had find someone important to them the situation changed. His colleague, the brown reddish haired man named Chu Sunji deserved his hand to be broken, not because Deok Ji Hyeang was holding grudge against him or anything but he should have known on how different Jung Hwa treated the human girl and he should have known better not to disrespect the woman. Or else the outcome wouldn't be pretty to look at.

But he can't stand idle either, "Treat yourself outside Sunji." He said to the man who was still in pain while holding to his hand which had turned blue in color and was now dangling profusely. Vampires have a high pain tolerant but that doesn't mean they can't feel pain especially when Chu Sunji was still a newbie. Han Seoyeon saw the brown reddish haired man quickly left the place with his limp hand.

Then Deok Ji Hyeang turned his eyes to the side to give a sigh, "Jung Hwa," he called and the pureblood vampire look at him with a quizzical eyes.

"Are you doing to scold me?" Jung Hwa smiled where the smile didn't reflect on his red eyes.

He said scold when he knew better I can't scold him, Deok Ji Hyeang wrinkled his brows. "I heard that Miss Gwon was at the same place with you, did you notice anything different from her before she was infected?"

Though he hadn't been looking at the woman properly he didn't recall to see any odd things, "No." when he replied he then turned his face toward Han Seoyeon bringing her to the conversation, "Did you notice anything strange, Seoyeon?"

Strange? How should she know that the woman was acting strange? He was never acquainted with the vampiress and only spoke of her which ended up with her being glared at. "I don't think I see anything strange."

Deok Ji Hyeang crosses his hand with one hand rubbing his chin and hummed, "How long have you met Miss Gwon, Miss Han?"

Although Deok Ji Hyeang was trying to be subtle, Han Seoyeon could feel his eyes keenly watching very move she made that when she had moved her finger slightly that had been sitting on top of her dress she saw his red eyes hawking that little move that made her froze. Was he suspecting her of something? She could feel it even without the man questioning her.

She was undoubtedly nervous when she first learned Jung Hwa was a pureblood vampire but she wasn't scared of him. Part of it must have because she had trust the man unknowingly even when he was capable of killing someone in ease. But right now in front of the vampire she felt petrified and her throat feel parched and it was because she knew what vampires could do.

"Just now, a few hours ago we talked briefly." She explained without a single lie and the man had an expression of studying her as a person.

Deok Ji Hyeang didn't stare at her for so long he then shifted his gaze toward Jung Hwa to say, "You do know what Hollowed Vampire is right? This is a pure phenomenon when a vampire had their heart affected but this is rarely happen except if the vampire had a broken heart after losing those who are dear to them and another one where a human fail their transformation. But Miss Gwon was a vampire since the beginning so the possibility would be the after mentioned case. It was what made them to become infected but it was different in Miss Gwon's case."

"She came with a happy feeling thus it doesn't explain why she turned into a hollowed vampire." Jung Hwa elaborated and with a frown he spoke in a clear voice, "Witches." the word rang on the room where the three people was and silence ensued.

"That is what I suspected for now."

"And you also suspected that the witches would be mixing amongst the humans in this hotel or that they have perhaps disappeared as soon as they turned Miss Gwon." Han Seoyeon could sense another sentence adding to his mouth after his words, "And you also suspected her as a witch."

Han Seoyeon looked up at him alarmed. She was correct, the man was suspecting her that she had done something to Miss Gwon. Although she only heard bits and bits from Jung Hwa and the conversation he had, she understood basically what they were saying. The Hollowed vampires are rare being that was close to a mad vampire without mind and as it was a condition rare for vampires, someone had been tampering the vampires to be infected and they were the witches.

For a moment, she stared back at her flaming red eyes where he gave her a gentle assuring smile free from any mischievousness that work perfectly to calm down her muss nerves.

"Unfortunately she is not one." He looked down on Deok Ji Hyeang with doubtless look. "If she was one she would have been killed by me long before."

As much as he knows Jung Hwa seemed to treasure the girl behind him now and wanting to shielding her it was not easy for him to say 'yes I understand she is not a witch'. He had to do his duty and he did. "It is not for me to decide Jung Hwa the girl knows about us means she had a drawback in this matter."

Giving his point then sigh to add, "We will investigate everyone in the hotel and as for the girl," he eyed Han Seoyeon with unnerving gaze to say, "The upper Associates would be the one who have to judge on her. After the reports are gave to the Elders please come to their investigation. If you value your life please do come." the threatens he said subtly cease a frown on Han Seoyeon's forehead.

Jung Hwa wrinkled his brows in sheer dislike when the upper associates were mentioned. "Turning humans to vampire for the sake to fail and turn them to hollowed beings.. This case must be connected to the cases in Myeondong."
