Chapter 24 - Vampire?!

She stepped behind cautiously, drawing a map on her mind to where she should go in case anything went wrong which she hope to never did go awry but her hope didn't reached to the sky.

She was still focused on her mind when she heard the head manager spoke in a loud gibberish. "This is all your fault! Sticking your nose to where you don't belong, I shouldn't have only fired you!"

"Tch." Han Seoyeon's worst probability hit the worst jackpot of misfortune when she saw the man charging toward her and his fist flying toward her. She avoid the punch seamlessly and jumped a few steps behind. "Calm down, Mr. Sam! Please come to your sense!"

"What sense?! Do you know what happened because of you?!" He bellowed on top of his lungs.

What happened because of me? Han Seoyeon asked herself but wasn't she who suffered because of him?

"And what did I do?" She asked and saw the man glared fiercely and took an unstable steps toward her. She very much want to kick the man down now but she had been noticing him hiding his right hand over his back. She knew well there would be many possibility of what the man could be holding behind her back and all of that pointed to a dangerous sharp object.

She took steps behind again and her hand reached out to her phone, tapping any number she had on her contact without looking, preferably she wanted to call the police but right now she didn't have the chance to wish for too much, she only wished that the person who she called could find something wrong with the call and reach her out.

Mr. Sam's eyes which had been unfocused for the whole time hawked on her spot on. "Because of your damned meddlesome behavior! You dared to report it to the higher ups and deported me!!" Recollecting what he had gone through, he blamed Han Seoyeon even more and cried a gruesome grudge. "Because of you! You fucking slut! Now my wife divorced me and I can't see my daughter anymore! Just because of your fucking mouth!"

Han Seoyeon's eyes widened, her palm balled to a fist. Fury and baffledness were written over her face. "Even now you still blame others for what you did?!"

"It wasn't my fault in the start! What right you have on lecturing me?!" He exclaimed again. "And it's not as if I'm the only one who did that! Even with how stupid you are you surely know well there are many people! Why do you have to- to do this to me!"

"Huh? Just because other did it you could do the same?! Do you even know-"

"SHUT UP!" His piercing voice rang out in the deserted alley. "If only you were never there! Yes! If only you- if only you had never existed in the first place!" He rumbled in a whisper looking angrier and came out Han Seoyeon's worst estimation. From her perspective she saw him holding a pocket knife. Although the pocket knife wasn't large nor long enough, it glimmered to show how it had been sharpened for this day.

"Calm down, Mr. Sam don't do this, if you do you will suffered a far worse future than before. Don't you still have a daughter? You can still recover what you lost it's still not late." She tried to calm him down.

"DON'T FUCKING LECTURE ME!" He dangerously swung his pocket knife aiming staggering. Before she knew it, even at the state where he looked he would faint at any moment, he charged forward know, pointing the edge of the knife to slashed it toward Han Seoyeon's neck. "I should have killed that woman too!"

Hearing this, Han Seoyeon's eyes flared with flurry. She avoided the first and second slash that was aimed at her and steadily took steps behind. When Mr. Sam attacked again, she saw him lifting down his guard and reached out her hand to slash a chop down firmly to his wrist.

In pain Mr. Sam groaned and let go of the pocket knife. When she saw the chance she kicked the knife to the back.

Mr. Sam held his wrist with his left hand and glared back at her. Even without the weapon, he still fought feebly with his fist. Seeing this Han Seoyeon who know secured the first hand in the fight, took his arm, twisting it to her shoulder before slamming him down to the ground. As a black belt in taekwondo even the man who weight doubled of her know collapsed on the ground. Mr. Sam coughed up from the intense pain he felt from his back.

"Killed her?" Han Seoyeon scoffed. "You scumbag! Do you know how many lives you could have ended just because of your sexual harassing remarks?! All of it because of your threats and your bullying! Just because your life was affected you could angry with other people but not when other's life are in stake?!" After Han Seoyeon was fired, she received a bunch of mails from women who thanked her for bravery, saying that they were close to taking their own life as Mr. Sam also had threatened them to sleep with him. Seeing at that time no one have been taking a step to lend a help at the women who were bullied she couldn't stay down.

"What do you fucking know?!" He crawled his fingernails to dig the pebble street when he abruptly felt a sharp pain as though a wall of bricks landed on back.

"Are you alright, Secretary Han?!" Jung Hwa stomped down his feet to Mr. Sam ignoring his pathetic crawling and asked in panic.

Seeing Jung Hwa appearing suddenly, her starry eyes stared at him in disbelief. "Why are you here, CEO Jung?"

"That is not the problem here." Jung Hwa started, stepping down his feet deeper to Mr. Sam's back. He smelled a distinct sweet smell, an intoxicatingly sweet smile like a fully bloomed flower in early morning mingling with a warmth smell of the sun. His eyes darted on her wrist which had been bleeding after she slammed Mr. Sam down to the ground.

Jung Hwa reached out his hand, holding to her wrist and folded her sleeves upward to see her wound. "You're bleeding." He expressed his concerned with a chilling tone, sparing a fierce glare to Mr. Sam.

Han Seoyeon was in a puzzle of how did Jung Hwa came here suddenly. But for some reason, her first thought was to convince him that her wound wasn't that horrible like how it look in a sight. "It's not a deep wound, it's only a scratch, thank you for your worries CEO Jung-"

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw Jung Hwa's head bend down to her bleeding wrist. She was taken aback and suddenly felt a cold chill upon her wound, giving a stinging pain for her to wince one. She felt shivers, a different one from fear and pain that made her let out a small cry. She looked down and frowned. He was licking her wound!

Quickly she gasped in panic and halted him. "CEO Jung, it's unhygienic please stop-"

Jung Hwa rose his head, staring back at her black eyes, having Han Seoyeon to froze from the pair of red eyes that glowed across her. His black eyes and hair became ruffled, having the small curly bangs to go between his ruby eyes. Due to the scarce light of the alley, his glowing eyes burned redder than before in a sight of blood. Although her mind was telling her to avoid him, she couldn't when she saw the desperate expression that he made. Her mind at that time, unconsciously praised the breathtaking sight upon her face that even though she knew she was in danger she can't escape from him.

Suddenly a sharp sensation prickled near her wound, she closed her mouth with her other hand, moving a few steps behind to come to a stop when she bumped her back to a wall and saw the sharp canines showing from his blood-like lips.

As though blood made his eyes, the sharp fangs, and blood. The three key words stayed on her mind. She wasn't fond of reading books as she had never want to waste her time in doing anything other than her works but there was a particular novel that she adore since Highschool. It was a book that portrayed the night creatures.

The being that human called as vampires.

Han Seoyeon gasped. "Vamp-"

She stammered. "Vampire?"
