Chapter 10 - How Can I Not Be A Stranger To You?

Han Seoyeon could feel her own brain frozen. She gasped her mouth with her eyes disbelievingly stare at the man in front of her. "Huh? I must have heard it wrong. What did you say?"

Jung Hwa place the cup with a resonating clink and a confident smile resting on his supple lips. Kindly, he repeated. "The reason I came here today, Ms. Wan is not only because I want to apologize for my rude behavior-"

Han Seoyeon raises a hand to stop him from talking. "No, I'm not saying you to repeat it but what did you say at the end?"

"Marriage in mind." Jung Hwa stated like how an obedient disciple replied to his teacher adding a small grin to the corner of his mouth.

"No." Han Seoyeon sighed, her eyes almost unfocused from his words, "Before that."

Jung Hwa saw the idle hand of Han Seoyeon laying on the side of the table and took her hand. The different temperature of Han Seoyeon's warm hand and his cold hand sent some shivers to Han Seoyeon. She flinched and wanted to take back her hand but he held her hand firmly that Han Seoyeon who is a black belt in taekwondo couldn't break free from his grip. Yet even though it was firm, it also didn't hurt her. Making her wonder how he could do both at the same time.

When she looked up, she felt as though she couldn't see anything other than his face. His eyes deepened from his thick eyelashes and gazed at her with a deep gaze that stirred something deep down from her. He smiled gently that even Han Seoyeon who saw his smile couldn't help but ask whether there was someone who could smile brighter than him.

"I fell in love with you at first sight, Ms. Wan. I want to go out with you." He repeated with a dear tone.

"That's too sudden." Han Seoyeon spoke her mind aloud in a state of baffled.

"Is it?" Jung Hwa asked puzzled but the smirked to add. "Then why is it too sudden?"

"We just met." Han Seoyeon replied quickly.

"So I shouldn't ask you out on the first time of our meeting?"

"That's." There's no rule that said that but Han Seoyeon wasn't at the place to say anything and nodded. "You're still a stranger to me and I don't think Mr. Jang could accept a confession from someone who he had just met, right?"

"You do have a fair point there." Jang Hwa replied after giving a thought. "Then how can I not be a stranger to you?"

"I don't know," Han Seoyeon pointed him to his hand with her eyes, warning. "Please let my hand go."

"You wouldn't throw me another glass of water again if I let you go now, right?" He asked.

"I wouldn't!" She gave her words for him to release her hand.

"A stranger wouldn't be a stranger after meeting many times. Then," He trailed his words to her face and smiled. "We just need to meet again and again so I wouldn't be a stranger to you, right?"

"You have a very odd way of thinking." Han Seoyeon argued.

"I will take that as a compliment, Ms. Wan." He rebuked her words lightly, still having the contented smile over his lips.

"I don't think you remember it yesterday but I have three boyfriend right at this moment." She reminded again, hoping he would loose interest. Yet that didn't happen.

He chuckled and spoke with a burst of confidence. "Of course I remember but I'm sure I can make you forget of all the men you have ever met."

"Confident aren't you?" Han Seoyeon chided.

"You did say I'm handsome." Jung Hwa reminded. "Also, I've been told that my face is one out of a billion. So I'm very confident not soon I will be able to make you fall for me as much as I fall for you."

"..." Han Seoyeon became speechless that she forgot how to talk. She could only say, "You're Crazy!"

"You told me that too, yesterday." Jung Hwa grinned again to her argument. "But I don't think being crazy for someone is wrong."

Han Seoyeon looked at him baffled. She can't think of another word to argue with him. Her job is to reject him and she though she had fulfilled her part but what? He's actually fall head over heels for her! Something is wrong- no, this person is wrong! He must've lost his marbles on the road!

Just as Han Seoyeon was having her inner conflict, she saw Jung Hwa tapping his phone to make a call and took the call to his ears. After hearing no reply, Jung Hwa pulled his phone away from his ear. "As expected."

"What?" Han Seoyeon asked wearily.

"The phone number I have at the moment is not yours." Jung Hwa started before taking her phone and use the call button to call his own number, adding. "That's my phone number."

It all happened too fast that before Han Seoyeon could react, he had already add his phone number to hers. "Although I would like to spend more time with you now, Seulgi. I have to apologize first because I'll be taking my leave now. I still have work to do in my company."

"Wait!" Han Seoyeon called. "I do appreciate your feeling but I don't think I can answer to your confession. Actually, I'm here to reject you."

Jung Hwa turned his face, placing a finger over her lips, saying, "Don't be too hasty now, Seulgi, you haven't seen the best of me yet."

She felt her heart thudding from his behavior and swatted his finger quickly to add. "Don't drop my honorific, we are still strangers!"

"I planned to change my term from stranger to someone you know well, for that I have to drop calling you formally, right?" Jung Hwa asked but he didn't wait for her answer. "I'll see you again."

"No! Don't see me again! Hey!" Jung Hwa feigned a deaf ear to her warnings and left the place with languid steps. On his face, an unending satisfied smile painted his pale complexion livelier than ever.

Han Seoyeon ruffled her blue wig and flopped down to the table, she took her cup and tapped her finger lightly over the handle. When did it go wrong? I shouldn't have ask him to see my face. No, I shouldn't have thrown him water to gather his attention!! He is a masochist! I'm a hundred percent sure he is!

Nevertheless, even if she mulled over her "shouldn't"s it was no use crying over a spilt milk. Now she have to do something to make sure he didn't get more interested in her. Yet, when she remembered her heart thudding loudly and his sweetest smile that could overdose someone. She felt herself exasperated, without noticing a feeling had bloomed from the corner of her heart.

DUU DDU

Suddenly she jolted from her seat when she heard her phone rang. Pulling her phone from the desk, her eyes fixed at the new mail that had just entered her phone.
