Chapter 3 - Help Me!

Exhaling a mouthful of sigh, she heard her phone vibrated from her skirt pocket. It wasn't a message from her adorable little brother but rather her highschool friend, Wan Seulgi. She was her only friend who stayed by her side even as she finished her high school, a third-generation billionaire who has a rather kind would than the rest of billionaire children whom she knew in her high school.

Taking the call, she placed her phone to her right ears to be greeted with a whineful tone. "Seoyeon!"

Noticing her friend's tone, she tried to give a guess, "What is it this time? Your father asked you to work to attend the stuff socialites' party? Or is it about your boyfriend?" Han Seoyeon entered the elevator and pushed the button to the lobby.

"I broke up with him!" Wan Seulgi sobbed aloud and suddenly recalled her anger that happened three days ago and raged. "That fucking bastard! I hope his body rot in hell!"

Han Seoyeon raised her brows, For her knowledge, Wan Seulgi her best friend was very over the top for her boyfriend, sending unending praises and pictures of her boyfriend. Breaking up with the man, made her surprised.

"You two broke up? Why?" she asked and heard her friend sniffing to change another packed of tissue.

"He cheated on me. You know, yesterday was our first year of anniversary. When I came to meet him, he actually brought a woman to his house! Not only that he brought her, but they were also actually living together and he had dated the woman for three years! That damned bastard made me into a cheater!"

Han Seoyeon clicked her tongue and shook her head, responding with the same anger. "You should have poured boiled water to his smugly face."

"I know right?" Wan Seulgi reminded her long one year of sweetness that was actually full of holes and betrayal to cry again.

Hearing her best friend's sore voice, Han Seoyeon's eyes turned to sympathy and comforted gently. "Don't cry. You have been crying for a whole day, haven't you? Don't bother caring about that bastard and chug on!"

"Mn..." Wan Seulgi replied but still felt her wounds stinging fresh from her breakup. "Seoyeon, do you want to go with me for a drink?"

"Alright!" Han Seoyeon agreed fast and heard a 'Ding' from the elevator to see it stopped for a man to enter. She turned her face to the other side and whispered. "We can meet up at my house, I'll treat you to some beer and side dishes."

"Okay, see you tonight." Wan Seulgi bid her goodbye.

"Mn. Take care of yourself and don't cry too much or else your eyes will turn swollen. Bye." Han Seoyeon ended her call and placed her phone inside her purse to feel a great presence of the man who entered the elevator and peeked under her eyelids.

Judging by his broad back and his expensive suit, he must be an employee with a high-status, she thought to herself and turned her face from the man when she heard her elevator giving another loud 'Ding' for her to exit.

"What beer should I buy for her today? Perhaps some Soju would be good too." Han Seoyeon talked to herself and stretched her back. Today perhaps she will not be accepted to both companies but she shouldn't think deeply into it and continue to her bright future.

Like what her mother once said, Misfortune doesn't have power in your life but yourself!

"Do your best, Seoyeon!" She cheered herself and skipped her steps to the nearest convenience store to buy her best friend beers and Soju.

When the night came and after a can of beer from each other, Han Seoyeon sat beside Wan Seulgi, resting their back to the bed with a box of fried chicken in front of them. Han Seoyeon took a piece of chicken and poured the soju to her friend's glass to hear her hiccuping.

"I can't understand-" Wan Seulgi sobbed, "Does he think I'm only his wallet?"

Wan Seulgi never has a stroke of good luck in romance, perhaps due to her parent's wealth, the men who she dated have always caught good-for-nothing as her boyfriend. Seoyeon had seen her bad luck since high school and knew how much it affected her friend. There was a period when she didn't want to have a boyfriend for her whole life.

She took her friend's head, placing it to her shoulder and comforted, "Don't cry, that piece of sh*t just can't see how much of a good person you are."

Seulgi faced up to her best friend to cry again, "I'm blessed to have you as my friend, Seoyeon!"

"That should be my line, dummy," Seoyeon replied with a chuckle. After she finished high school, there were a lot of things that she couldn't understand in her work, and searching for work wasn't something easy. Fortunately, Seulgi taught her how to write the perfect CV and offered her some work interviews. Thanks to that, she was able to pay her brother tuition.

Hearing her best friend's crying, Han Seoyeon felt angry on her friend's behalf. At this point, Seulgi's possibility of crying for a whole month could be a hundred percent and she didn't want that.

"Say, while I'm unemployed. Should I give a good punch to his face?" Seoyeon brought an idea to have her friend looking up to the smirk pulling the corner of her right lips.

Seulgi swung her finger and clicked her tongue three times, "No, don't-"

She raised an eyebrow to Seulgi who rejected the idea. "Why? Don't tell me you still have a feeling for him?"

"Of course not! If you punch him, I'm afraid you'll kill him and then the police will take you under custody. I can't have my friend away from me." Seulgi replied and the two burst into laughter.

Seulgi hiccuped and took another can of beer which Seoyeon stopped her. "Stop drinking, let's sleep now."

"Mn!" Seulgi replied with a giggle and trotted to the bed to hear her phone vibrating from a message. She stopped, a little sober when she read the message that was sent by her father and immediately shouted.

"Seoyeon! Help me!"
