Chapter 19：Caught myself a wife!

'How could I forget something so important?! I reacted instinctively and messed it up.'

Yes, when Esdeath came close to me it wasn't the reward that she gave me, but a collar that almost latched around my neck… instinctively I put it around her neck.

Zero: "Haha… seems like I got you!" – I really didn't know what to say.

Esdeath: "…"

--------POV CHANGE (ERI)-------

Eri: "Alfred, why did papa do that?"

Alfred: "I think master just caught young miss a mother."

Eri: "Papa is amazing."

Esdeath: "That remains to be seen…" – as she said that an ice spike came out of the ground cutting the rope.

Esdeath: "If you beat me you can catch me, but if I do… I'll catch you."

She continued creating ice spikes and throwing them my way… but it was useless. With one rotation of my eyes she was trapped in my Tsukuyomi.

Zero: "In here your power is nothing. In this place I am above even god. Time, space and everything else bends to my will, waiting for me to do with it as I see fit. For the next 72 hours you will be my guest here."

Esdeath: "So are you saying you can't keep me for more than 3 days?"

Zero: "…How much time do you think has passed since you came here?"

Esdeath: "Probably 2 minutes."

Zero: "It has only been less than 1/10 of a second."

Esdeath: "…hahahah I see you control time as well as my perception of time in here."

Zero: "Indeed… Smart, beautiful, sadist and a battle maniac."

Esdeath: "Then why don't you become my husband?"

Zero: "Who said I wouldn't?"

Esdeath: "Hoh, you are quite straightforward. So, why don't you enlist? With your powers I'm sure you could become a general in little time."

Zero: "Would an Emperor want to be a general?"

Esdeath: "You, an Emperor? I don't suppose I have heard of you before."

Zero: "While your 'Empire' barely rules a continent I rule a world already. My recruits soldiers far surpass your elites. While your abilities allow you to decimate a city I can destroy a world."

Esdeath: "Ho… you already have a daughter, that must mean you have a wife, do you think I'll settle for number 2?"

Zero: "I adopted Eri during my travels through different worlds. She has the ability to rewind the time of anything she touches. Meaning one day she might even be able to return the dead to life. Plus she is super cute."

Esdeath: "…"

I walked up closer to her.

Zero: "Esdeath we are both people who don't beat around the bush. So, will you become my wife? I can't promise that we will live happily ever after, we might even die in a battlefield surrounded by numerous enemies. We will either die together when that time comes, or spend eternity at each other side."

Esdeath: "That was very romantic, darling." – she said as she kissed me.

Zero: "Should I take that as a yes?"

Esdeath: "Is there any other way to take it?"

Zero: "Ah what did I get myself into… giving my heart to a demoness like you." – I said jokingly.

Esdeath: "Oh don't worry I'll make sure to take good care of it." – she said as she kissed me once again.

Esdeath: "So how should we commemorate our engagement?"

Zero: "What would you like to do?"

Esdeath: "We're heading to my chambers!"

Zero: "Are you taking advantage of pure little me?"

Esdeath: "If you don't want to come, you can stay here."

Zero: "So heartless… you know I was kidding."

As we got out of Tsukuyomi I immediately followed after her. As we arrived before her chambers I picked her up in my arms.

Esdeath: "What are you doing?! Let me down this is embarrassing for a general." – she said as she blushed a little bit.

Zero: "My job as your husband. Now get ready. We won't be getting out for quite a few days…" – I said with a grin in my face.

Esdeath: "Very well I accept your challenge, let's see what you got… darling."

As she said that we got in the room.

--------POV CHANGE (Eri)--------

Eri: "Alfred, when is papa coming back?"

Alfred: "Cough, cough master will probably be busy for quite a while."

Eri: "But I wanted to show him my drawing."

Alfred: "Master is working hard to make sure you get a sibling."

Eri: "Really? That's great I always wanted a younger sibling. Oh by the way, Alfred where do babies come from?"

Alfred: "Oh… ah… look at the time, it's almost time for me to go water the plants" – Alfred said slightly sweating as he left in a hurry.

Eri: "… but we don't have any plants. Maybe I'll learn when I get a boyfriend."
