27 Shiroe

Yuuki felt that he had become a butler for those women. He made tea for three of them who were talking to each other about Genji Monogatari. He wasn't sure what made this novel was very interesting among them. He placed the tea on the table for them.

"Thank you."

"Sure," Yuuki said and sat beside Kaoruko. He wanted to go back but Kaoruko told him to stay for a while.

"Hey, are you really a hunter?" the woman in pink hair asked.

"Yeah, though, my ranking isn't that high," Yuuki said.

"Really?" the woman in pink hair took the tea and drank it. She opened her eyes in surprise and drank it again. She looked at him and said, "Become my butler."

The other women were surprised.

"No," Yuuki said.

"Why? Aren't your rank low? Isn't it better to work for me? My family will give you a pretty good salary," the woman in pink said.

"Well, first of all, I don't know your name," Yuuki said.

"Well, my name is Toyomi Fujiwara, hehe, nice to meet you," Toyomi said with a lazy expression.

Yuuki could see Toyomi was pretty laid back.

"My name is Segawa Yuuki," Yuuki said.

"Good, now you must become my butler!" Toyomi said.

"No, I don't want to become your butler," Yuuki said.

"Why? You can even wash me, don't you want it?" Toyomi asked.

"Anyway, no, don't you have some matters with Kaoruko? You should finish that matter first," Yuuki said.

"No, I should bring you back and let my sisters taste this tea," Toyomi said.

They started to argue with each other and Haruno looked at the tea with a curious expression. She sipped the tea and surprised at the taste. She had thought that this man had some special relationship with Kaoruko.

"Hey, I think you should become my butler," Haruno said.

"What? No way, Haruno-chan, he is mine," Toyomi said.

Yuuki twitched his lips, "Anyway, nice to meet you and I don't have any interest in becoming your butler, though, I have the interest to open a restaurant, you can visit it at that time."

"Really? Then I will bring my little sisters there," Toyomi said.

Haruno nodded, "Sure, I can't wait for that."

"Girls, why don't we continue this first?" Kaoruko said to both of them.

"Oh, that's right, Kaoruko-chan," Toyomi said.

"Sure," Haruno said.

Yuuki didn't know why but he felt the smile on Haruno was very fake for some reason. He decided to check his novel on his phone. He opened the website and his novel was in the top 3. He was surprised to see it and there were five days before the competition finished.

"What are you looking at?" Suddenly someone looked over his phone.

"Novel," Yuuki said. He didn't want to say that he was Oppai-sensei. He started to think that it was a very dumb name but it helped him on his popularity.

"Ah, this novel is good, you should read it, my little sister read it," Toyomi pointed at 'High School DxD'.

"Oh, that's a perverted novel, I wonder who the author is," Kaoruko said.

"Hmm, I wonder, who?" Yuuki said but he didn't change his expression.

They were talking for a while and then decided to over the conversation.

"Bye, Yuuki!" Toyomi said.

"See you again," Haruno said with a smile.

"Tell me if you can open your restaurant," Toyomi said.

"Sure," Yuuki said.

The three of them exchanged phone calls together.

Yuuki sat down beside Kaoruko.

"What do you think of them?" Kaoruko asked.

"They're cute," Yuuki said.

"Well, both of them will be your target," Kaoruko said.

Yuuki sighed at her and pinched the bridge of his nose, "You still want to do your research?"

Kaoruko nodded, "Yes, of course, I will do anything for it."

"Well, besides research is there something that makes you interested?" Yuuki asked.

"Nothing, I want to finish my research first but I am interested in your cooking," Kaoruko said.

Yuuki nodded, "Then you wait, I will go to the dungeon in a few days, I will bring some rare ingredient there."

Kaoruko raised her eyebrow, "Interesting."

"Then when you come back?" Yuuki asked.

"Maybe in a few hours, I will have something to deal with here," Kaoruko said.

"Then I will go back first," Yuuki said.

"Are you not waiting for me?" Kaoruko asked.

"Do you want me to do it too?" Yuuki asked.

"No," Kaoruko said.

"Then I will wait for you," Yuuki looked around and picked some manga. He sat down and started to read.

Kaoruko looked at him with a strange gaze, "How to say, you make you think of something."

"White knight in shining armor?" Yuuki asked.

"Hmm, weirdo, that's right," Kaoruko said.

"Funny," Yuuki ignored her.

Kaoruko smiled at him and continued to do her work. She felt that he had this strange charm that made him different from any men that she had seen in her life.

They went back together and Elsa looked at Kaoruko. Both of them started to talk with each other and it seemed to talk about something serious.

Yuuki prepared dinner for everyone and needed to prepare himself for the dungeon in a few days.

Yuuki arrived while wearing his usual tracksuit. His nieces and Kaoruko looked at him with a weird gaze when they saw him enter the dungeon with this kind of clothes.

"Yuuki!!" Raul waved his hand and smiled at him.

"Raul, Cain, Blaze, and Airi," Yuuki smiled at them.

"You're still wearing your tracksuit, huh?" Cain said.

"You should change it to armor or something," Blaze said.

"Well, maybe in the future," Yuuki said. It wasn't like he didn't want to wear armor but he didn't have money. He looked around and noticed a man wearing a white cloak and glasses.

"Hello," the man said.

"Hello, Raul, who is this?" Yuuki asked.

"This is one of our leaders, Shiroe," Raul said.

"My name is Shiroe, I am one of the leaders of Log Horizon, nice to meet you, Yuuki-kun," Shiroe said while adjusting his glasses.

"Hello, Shiroe-san," Yuuki nodded at him.

Yuuki knew this was his imagination but he felt that his glasses were suddenly shining. He walked toward Airi and asked, "He looks very smart."

"He is very smart!! He is the main strategist of our guild!!!" Airi said.

"Let's go," Shiroe said to everyone.

"He was very serious," Yuuki said. He didn't even see this Shiroe guy smiling at all.

"Hahaha, he is actually very kind," Blaze said.

"Be serious, we're going to enter the B-Rank Dungeon," Shiroe said.

They nodded and entered the dungeon with serious expression.
