3 Getting Married

When Ann couldn't get a hold of Lea, she has no other choice but to go ahead and get on with their deal... A quick marriage and Annulment asap. She needed to get out of there, or she would never have the courage to go through with it.

"Shall we go?" She shyly asked the handsome man in front of her, unable to look him in his face as she spoke barely audible. Hoping and praying that he would not change his mind.

Jeff got up and grabbed his suit that was on the top of the bar, "Let's go! Let's do this, the sooner, the better!" He said excitedly as he ushered Ann out of the club into the nearest wedding chapel.

The ceremony was quick and easy. That is one of the perks Las Vegas has to offer tourists. A quick Wedding and/or Divorce at any time of day.

After the wedding ceremony, the two of them walked towards Ann's apartment. The walk only took them less than fifteen minutes before they arrived.

Ann was hesitant to bring Jeff to her apartment at first. She was thinking the whole way. 'What if he's a maniac and wants to consummate the marriage or worse still is a murder, what do I do then? I hope he understands that this marriage is fake, and it will end as quickly as we got married. I need to let him know clearly, no consummation so that it will be easy to annul this fake marriage.'

Ann was trying to figure out how to remind Jeff without embarrassing herself in return. 'At least he seems drunk if he does anything I can overpower him.' She thought.

Jeff was still intoxicated and was thinking in a completely different direction 'If you think you can get rid of me that quickly, think again, little wife. What annulment? In your dreams maybe, but not in mine!'

Both were in deep thought while they were walking towards Ann's apartment. They didn't realize that they had arrived quickly.

"Were here!" Ann announces as she opened the door to her small studio apartment. She was hesitant to invite him in, but they still need to discuss the annulment. Therefore, Ann has no choice, "come in! Please, excuse my place, it's small and a studio. You'll see what I mean!" She went inside and waited for Jeff to come in.

Jeff stood shocked and stunned to see how small Ann's studio apartment was. His tall, robust body along with Ann's lanky and skinny frame seemed too big for the whole place.

Jeff saw a mattress in the corner of the room; it was covered with a beautiful bedspread. Next to it was a small square table with a cup and a pitcher filled with water on top. In the far end, he saw a bookshelf filled with books.

'She must like to read,' Jeff thought. There was no kitchen to speak of, only a small burner in the corner of the room. He tried guessing its use 'For cooking soup or something.' Jeff felt his heart constrict, how can someone live in such tragic conditions?

While Jeff was busy surveying his surroundings, Ann, on the other hand, was having a small nervous breakdown. This was the first time she had ever been alone with a man in an intimate and enclosed environment.

She had never even dated in the past. Her Grandmother was a little old fashioned; she had always used her dead-beat Mother as an example, telling her not to repeat the same mistakes. Ann looked so innocent; Jeff was taking it all in and enjoying her frazzled look.

Jeff decided to tease Ann, "Don't worry! I won't do anything you don't want me to do, wife!'

Ann "..."

"I'm exhausted and would like to get some sleep, so... what's the sleeping arrangement?" Jeff asked Ann. "Since there's only one bed, I guess we will have to sleep together!" He said jokingly with a straight face.

Ann started to shake after hearing what Jeff said. Fear was visible in her eyes, which made Jeff feel a little guilty.

Jeff fell for Ann the second he laid eyes on her in the Nightclub. She made Jeff's heart beat like crazy. Before meeting Ann, Jeff had never been even remotely interested in all those models, actresses and heiresses he encountered almost daily.

'What's so special about this girl? Do I feel sorry for her or what? I even agreed to this fake marriage, knowing it's a lie. Which is what I hate the most, a liar. [Ahhhh!] I must be drunk and too tired from the long trip. Or did I bang my head unknowingly?'

Jeff contemplated whether or not he should confess to her and tell her the truth about his identity or continue with the arrangement. He ended up deciding to keep quiet, play along, and enjoy having a wife.

While Jeff was going crazy thinking about their current situation, Ann decided that she would stay with Lea and let Jeff remain in her little apartment. Lea's place was upstairs on the second floor above Ann's apartment. It was a one-bedroom apartment and much more substantial than Ann's.

Ann packed some necessities; toiletries and clothing, etc. She then told Jeff her plan for the night.

Jeff agreed not because he didn't like the idea of them sleeping together; but because he was afraid that he wouldn't be able to control himself if she stayed any longer. They might end up doing the honeymoon thing if he was unable to control himself.

From the moment he laid eyes on those kissable lips, he wanted to taste them. "Go ahead; it's best if we don't share a space tonight. You never know what might happen." He said this while salivating and looking at Ann ready to eat her whole.

Ann saw the way Jeff was looking at her, she bid him goodnight and rushed outside, closed the door behind her. As soon as she was out of Jeff's sight, she leaned on the closed door and tried to calm herself down.

The heat was too much for Ann to handle. A girl who had never experienced sex and was still a virgin in all aspects couldn't handle that level of stimulation.

Unfortunately, lady luck was not on Ann's side at all. Lea wasn't home. She knocked on the door so many times, but no one answered. She dialed Lea's number, but still no answer. Her last option: Ann texted her and waited for a while before going back to her apartment dejected.

At the front door of her apartment, Ann stood still hesitating, wondering if she should go in or not. She thought about calling Lea one last time, but changed her mind and decided to take her chance with the handsome man inside her apartment who was currently by law, her husband.

'What have I got to lose? If anything happens, we have legally married anyway. No matter what, I need to get some rest to get the job done perfectly. Once the job is complete, we will annul this farce of a marriage and go our separate ways.' She reaffirmed to herself; her eyes were already half shut from tiredness.

Ann opened the door quietly, trying not to wake Jeff up in the process. The whole place was dark, and she couldn't see anything. From her memory, she slowly tried making her way to where the bed was located.

Suddenly, Ann tripped on something and stumbled, landing on top of the sleeping Jeff. Ann tried to situate herself, slowly using her hands to help herself up when she realized something was wrong with this picture.

Jeff was BUTT NAKED!
