Just as the werewolf leader was one step away from the entrance, a wall of light suddenly rose up to block them.

The wall of light was so sudden that he had no time to react. With a “bang!”, he slammed into the wall of light. While his head had been strengthened, his head merely turned red from the impact, and did not start swelling.

The werewolf leader ignored the wall of light that had suddenly appeared and immediately fled in another direction.

Because the werewolf leader sensed that this wall of light was launched by Laite·Bellman himself.

At this moment, the werewolf leader, who was fleeing in another direction, discovered that the entire bar had been surrounded by this wall of light. There was nowhere to run.

“Hu hu!!”

While the werewolf leader was lost in thought as he looked at the wall of light around him, the tens of large swords behind him were flying rapidly towards him.

He quickly turned around and raised Harlen in front of him to block the attacks of those large swords. The werewolf leader didn’t believe that Laite·Bellman would implicate innocent people just to kill him.

Just as the werewolf leader had expected, the swords that were flying towards him split into two groups and flew towards Harlen’s left and right as they were about to touch him.

However, he belatedly discovered at this moment that the wall of light surrounding the bar was gradually shrinking towards the center.

This was bad!

The werewolf leader immediately felt a sense of danger. In addition to the gradually shrinking wall of light, dozens of swords were continuously sent flying toward him. As his mobility decreased, the distance between those large swords and his head would become shorter and shorter.

As the wall of light advanced, the space to move gradually decreased. His nearly three-meter tall body had no advantage in such an environment. It was all a disadvantage, making it impossible for him to fully exert his strength.

“Shua shua shua!!!”

The werewolf leader continued to frantically dodge the attacks of the swords. Due to the shrinking of space, he was soon unable to dodge all of the attacks.

Two of the swords sliced through his body.

The other greatsword stabbed directly into the werewolf leader’s abdomen. A split second after the greatsword stabbed into his abdomen, the greatsword transformed into a streak of orange light and disappeared into the air, leaving behind a large hole in his abdomen. He fell to the ground in pain.

In an instant, a large amount of blood spurted out from his mouth and the large hole on his abdomen.

He tried to stand up, but he discovered that all the strength in his body seemed to be gone, as though the sword that hit him in his abdomen had drained it.

It seemed like those swords had a special effect of absorbing other people’s strength. He had to be careful.

The werewolf leader fell heavily to the ground. Harlen, who had rolled out of his hands, sat on the ground, looking at the werewolf leader silently.

The swords that scattered in all directions gathered together once again and flew towards the prone werewolf leader.

Seeing the swords flying towards him, the werewolf leader struggled to get up, but he didn’t have any strength.

At this moment, he was totally bereft of strength. He could not even attempt to burn his potential.

Those greatswords drew closer and closer to the alpha werewolf, then….

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The swords mercilessly pierced into his body until all the swords were stabbed into the ground.

After those swords were stabbed into the ground, they instantly turned into specks of orange light and disappeared into the air.

As the swords disappeared, the scene on the ground came into view to everyone.

The werewolf leader who had fallen to the ground was gone. There was only a pool of blood on the ground, along with some small pieces of meat in the pool of blood.

“Was that wolf reduced to dust by those huge swords?”

“How did a wolf that was nearly three meters tall become covered in blood in an instant?”

“Did the wolf run away again? But I didn’t see it anywhere else!”

The passersby were guessing if the wolf that had disappeared on the ground had been cut by the sword until not a single hair on it was left.

Just as the passers-by were rejoicing that the battle had finally ended and everyone was rejoicing, another hissing sound came from the gradually shrinking wall of light.

The passersby looked back and saw Harlen sitting on the ground, with an additional bright red claw on his chest. Upon closer inspection, the passersby were frightened.

This was a claw that pierced through Harlen’s chest. The claw was stained red by the blood on Harlen’s chest, dripping blood onto the ground.

“Ahhh!”

“As expected, the werewolf didn’t die. He really killed that child!”

“No! Look clearly! That wolf isn’t three meters tall, and it’s much smaller than the leader. It’s not the same wolf!”

“Then where did it come from? There are no cracks or holes in this wall of light. It’s impossible for it to have entered from the outside.”

“If it’s not from the outside, then it can only be from within!”

“Wait, this can’t be the wolf leader’s subordinates, right?”

“Weren’t they killed by Sir Laite’s sword and buried under the ruins?!”

“What’s happening?!”

The passerby’s brain worked rapidly. In the end, they became dizzy from overthinking.

The alpha wolf’s subordinate had actually rushed out from below the rubble. Its chest was still dripping with large amounts of blood, dyeing its body red.

But even so, it used the last of its strength to dart out of the rubble and pierce Harlen’s chest. Then it pulled out its claws and collapsed to the ground. This time, it was truly dead.

“Pfft!”

A mouthful of blood spurted from Harlen’s mouth as he looked down at his pierced chest. Though he didn’t show it on his face, he was secretly pleased with himself. His plan was finally going to work, albeit with a slight deviation.

Harlen dropped to the ground, staring up at the sky with unfocused eyes. He waited quietly for the paladin, Laite·Bellman, to come to heal him.

Laite·Bellman had wanted to get rid of the werewolf leader as soon as possible and go home to watch TV, but he hadn’t expected his ‘dead’ subordinate, the wolf, to suddenly jump out from the rubble and punch a hole in Harlen’s chest.

He then sped up the shrinking of the wall of light. The wall of light passed through Harlen, who was lying in a pool of blood, and continued to shrink toward the center of the bar.

The wall of light had no effect on Harlen, but for the rest of the creatures, the moment they came into contact with the light, they turned into specks of light and disappeared into the air. For example, the nine bodies of the wolves buried under the rubble turned into light the moment they touched the wall of light and disappeared from where they were.

Slowly, slowly, the wall of light shrank to the size of a fist. Finally, it disappeared into the air.

Seeing the wall of light disappear, Laite·Bellman quickly rushed to the side of Harlen, who was lying in a pool of blood.

Laite·Bellman quickly cast a high-level healing spell to heal Harlen.

A ray of green light with a hint of purple instantly surrounded a radius of two meters around Harlen.

Gradually, the blood that Harlen had shed on the ground surrounded by that light began to flow back into Harlen’s body, even his pierced chest was healing rapidly.

The moment they saw the light, the passers-by were once again amazed by its beauty.

“How beautiful. As expected of Sir Laite’s magic, both powerful and beautiful.”

“That light magic is so powerful. It can even heal a wound like being pierced through the chest. As expected of Sir Laite.”

“Everyone knows how powerful he is.”

The passersby could not help but praise him for his magic.

After about twenty seconds, the hole in Harlen’s chest was completely healed. There was no scar at all.

Laite·Bellman then helped Harlen sit up before taking out a water bottle from his bag for Harlen to drink from.

“How is it? Are you feeling better?”

Laite·Bellman had one hand on Harlen’s back, the other holding the bottle as he fed Harlen some water.

“Much better, thank you.”

Harlen propped himself up on the ground and looked gratefully at him.

After that, Harlen reached out and gently moved the bottle, indicating that he already had his fill.

Laite·Bellman put the water back in his pouch. He then picked Harlen up in a princess carry, before walking out of the door.

As he walked out, the passersby cheered.

“Commander!”

Laite·Bellman however faced forward and coldly called for the Knight Commander.

Then, in the crowd, a man carrying a little girl slowly came out of the crowd and walked up. “I’m here. What can I do for you, Sir Laite?”

Seeing that the Knight Commander was carrying a child, his tone became warmer.

“Commander, I’ll bring this child back. He has experienced too much and needs to rest for a period of time. Go back and report the situation to those people.”

“Alright, I should go.”

Laite·Bellman could not wait to get home and watch TV. It was over a minute now, and the TV show had been on for a minute. He did not want to waste any more time.

After muttering some magical incantations, the greatsword that belonged to him landed directly in front, flat on the ground.

When Laite·Bellman walked up to the sword and put in some magical power, the sword gradually levitated. It stopped when it was more than 10 meters above the ground before moving forward.

This was a variant of flying magic, Flying Sword Magic. It used one’s own magic power as the energy source to urge the objects under its feet to fly.

Of course, it might not be a flying sword. A rod, a washboard, or even a rock could fly. As long as one could stand steadily on it, it was fine. However, it did not look good and did not have the grandeur unlike that of a sword..
