The place where the werewolf leader was standing was over 80 meters away from Laite.

At this distance, ordinary people might not even be able to see what was happening 80 meters away, let alone activating magic as reinforcement.

Moreover, even if those people used magic to reinforce, the range of the magic would not be able to reach 80 meters. Most people, even if pushing to their limits, could only provide magic reinforcement at a 10 meter range. Furthermore, it was the kind of magic that slowly approached, not the instantaneous kind.

However, everything was thrown out of the window with Laite·Bellman. He could instantly activate a barrier spell at more than 80 meters away. More importantly, Laite·Bellman did not walk out of the house at all. He had directly activated a long distance barrier spell even though he was inside the bar and could not see anything. Furthermore, his positioning was so precise that he knew where the knight was standing.

Bang!

The werewolf leader’s full on claw attack on the barrier caused him to rebound two meters from the counterforce.

“Hmph, as expected of a high-level magic barrier. Such hardness cannot be broken with brute force.”

The werewolf leader muttered in his heart. The barrier in front of him had no signs of fading, and it was still surrounding the knight.

This was a completely different beast to the barrier created by the Knight Guard earlier, which could be shattered with some strength.

Right now, even if he used all his strength to launch continuous claw attacks towards this barrier activated by Laite·Bellman, he might not even be able to cause any cracks.

If he wanted to shatter a barrier of this level, he could only use magic of a higher level than what Laite·Bellman had activated. The current werewolf leader obviously did not have the ability.

Seeing that it was impossible to break through this barrier, the werewolf leader turned around without looking back and walked towards the bar.

The moment he turned around, the leader saw Laite·Bellman walking out of the bar.

Although there was a distance of more than 80 meters between the two of them, this wolf had been resurrected by Harlen using blood magic. Although it was a temporary resurrection, some of its bodily functions had improved slightly as a result.

For example, his eyes. When a normal person looked at someone from 80 meters away, they would be like a black dot. It was impossible to see any fine details.

But his eyes were now different. He could see Laite’s face from 80 meters away, as well as every detail of his body.

From afar, the alpha wolf watched as he walked out of the bar and stood casually by the door. He held his sword in one hand and his other hand was relaxed in a natural downward posture. He merely stood there, looking on quietly.

Seeing that Laite·Bellman was also looking at him, the werewolf leader stopped attacking the other guards and instead moved towards the former at high speed.

It took the werewolf leader only three seconds to cover the distance of 80 meters.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The werewolf leader disappeared, and when he reappeared, it was behind Laite·Bellman.

The werewolf leader then raised his two sharp claws to attack, but was instantly blocked by the sword. Laite·Bellman didn’t even turn his head in the process, completely ignoring the werewolf’s sharp claws behind him.

The werewolf leader landed on the ground and bent over. His claws naturally drooped down as he raised his head and stared fiercely at the paladin.

Seeing that the werewolf leader had stopped attacking, Laite·Bellman brought up the sword he held behind him to block the attack, repositioning it in front of himself.

He then turned around unhurriedly and raised his hand to look at the small halo that was left on his hand. Then, he looked at the werewolf leader with a bored expression.

“It’ll be over in a minute.”

“You have wasted four minutes. In these four minutes, you only killed the Knights but not the civilians. You must be unhappy with us Paladins.”

“Ah, there’s still the last forty seconds. It’s time to get ready to put you to sleep.”

Laite·Bellman had a dead look on his face as he spoke slowly, as if he was deliberately stalling for time.

He then hefted his greatsword in one hand, pointing it at the wolf’s eye.

Seeing that there wasn’t much time left, the werewolf leader abandoned everything else to activate his berserk mode and prepared to fight to the death.

The werewolf leader’s arms were crossed in front of his chest. Immediately after, a circle of light spread out under his feet, and small milky-white rays of light continuously appeared from the circle of light. The white light quickly rose up from the ground around his head.

The white light rose from the ground all the way to the top of his head before disappearing.

“Eh eh eh eh!! Ha ah!!”

The arms that were placed close to his chest suddenly opened wide.

All of a sudden, the werewolf leader’s physique and every muscle on his body seemed to have grown by a notch. His original height of nearly 2.5 meters was now almost three meters.

Normal people would be scared to death when they saw a werewolf that was almost 2.5 meters tall. Now that the werewolf was almost three meters tall, they would probably be so scared that they would spontaneously combust.

However, although the passers-by were still afraid, they weren’t as afraid as they were at the beginning. They knew that his target was the knights, not them. Therefore, they were considerably less afraid than before.

But in the face of the werewolf who had grown to nearly three meters tall, Laite·Bellman was still expressionless. There was no trace of fear on his face.

He simply maintained his dead look as he quietly waited for the body strengthening to be over.

Six seconds later, the nearly three-meter tall werewolf leader, who had finished strengthening his body, walked up and lowered his head to look down at Laite·Bellman.

The latter raised his head and looked disdainfully up at the fierce, snarling face opposite him.

From the gaps between the werewolf leader’s mouth, smelly saliva dripped down from time to time.

For some reason, the saliva that dripped down just happened to brush past Laite·Bellman. At one time, the saliva was only two centimeters away from Laite·Bellman’s armor. If either of them even moved slightly, the saliva would all splatter onto the armor.

The saliva that brushed past dripped onto the ground with a hissing sound. Small pits appeared on the ground where the saliva touched.

From those small pits, some gases would emerge.

“Not good!!”

“Be careful, Sir Laite. That wolf’s saliva has acidic properties. It will dissolve anything!”

“Sir Laite, be careful!”

Some sharp-eyed passersby could tell that the werewolf leader’s saliva was acidic.

The passers-by were shouting, desperately trying to send a message over.

But the man in question seemed to take all of the advice given for granted. The advice went in and out of his ears.

The wolf that was looking down at him, even if it was three meters tall and dripping acidic saliva, was merely an ant to him..
