A multitude of dried corpses.

Their entire bodies were covered in tiny wounds caused by the little bats’ bites.

If someone with trypophobia saw this, they would probably die on the spot.

The dry corpses were still twitching, the expression on their faces extremely sinister.

They were only left with extremely shriveled skin as well as a set of fangs that was left exposed.

As for those originally red eyes of theirs…

Only two deep black pits were left after the bats had their fill.

If an ordinary person saw this scene, they would definitely vomit for three days and three nights.

However, at this moment, Harlen was completely unfazed.

He seemed to have seen too many of such scenes.

Harlen walked around the mummies, seemingly in deep thought, but this state was destroyed when he suddenly heard voices coming from outside the bar.

“Hey, did you guys hear that?”

“I heard it. It came from this bar.

“What a loud sound. Did something explode?”

“I don’t know. I just came to join in the fun.”

……

The people on the streets were discussing fervently.

They gathered in front of the bar and discussed.

Suddenly, Harlen heard another voice exclaiming.

“Sir Paladin, this is the place!”

“I heard several screams!!!”

Harlen was now standing on the opposite side of the bar door, watching the door intently.

It would have been easy for him to use teleportation magic to move himself directly back home.

But he didn’t.

Harlen wanted to borrow the Paladins to protect himself, thus he wanted them to get familiar with him.

This was so that he could gather intelligence to find Mary Anne’s family.

However, how should he get the Paladins to protect him?

Harlen scratched his chin and thought about it.

Suddenly, Harlen stopped in front of the pack of wolves that had been sucked dry.

Harlen seemed to have an idea.

“How about—”

“An ordinary, weak teenager who was chased by red-eyed werewolves in front of the paladins.”

“And then the Paladins themselves came to destroy the werewolves.”

“And thus the young man gets protected.”

“Eh…?”

“I think that might work.”

“Let’s just do it.”

Harlen turned to look at the bar counter near the ruins.

He then looked at the hidden room behind.

He started to murmur to himself:

“There seems to be a few barrels of werewolf blood inside.”

“I can use it.”

Harlen extended his right hand towards the hidden room.

Using some sort of absorption technique, he drew out the blood in the bucket.

The wine barrel that was used to store the blood started to shake crazily.

The blood in the bucket was gushing out frantically.

In an instant, the wine barrel exploded in all directions.

The impact of the explosion caused the broken pieces of the wine barrel to pierce deeply into the ceiling and the wall.

The cracked wine barrel revealed fresh blood.

However, the pool of blood did not splash on the ground, totally defying gravity.

Rather, it floated in the air.

The pool of blood stopped in the air for about 0.5 seconds before flowing towards Harlen.

As all that blood flowed to Harlen…

Harlen then directed his right hand toward the werewolves. The pool of blood suspended in the air followed the movement of his right hand and moved above the werewolves’ heads.

Then, Harlen’s right hand made a few simple movements toward the pool of blood.

The pools of blood above the werewolves’ heads began to pour into the bodies of the 11 werewolves through the densely-packed wounds created by the bats.

The entire infusion process took about one minute in total. As the blood was injected, the dried and shrivelled up corpses of the werewolves began to bloat up once more.

Like balloons, the liquid injected inside them made their bodies gradually expand.

In this short period of time….

The dry corpses gradually turned into bodies full of flesh and blood.

As for the densely packed little bites from the little bats on the werewolves.

They also began to gradually heal.

The eyes that had been sucked dry also gradually recovered.

In a short while, burly werewolves with flesh and blood stood once more before Harlen.

The werewolves all kneeled on the ground.

They kowtowed to Harlen together.

“At your command.”

“My master.”

The werewolves lowered their heads.

One hand was on their knees, the other on the ground.

Harlen stood before the kneeling werewolves.

At this moment, Harlen seemed to be three meters tall, looking down at the werewolves instead.

Then, Harlen earnestly spoke.

“I need you to act out a drama with me.”

“Right now, there is a large group of Holy Paladins standing outside the door.”

“I want their protection.”

“Therefore, I need your cooperation.”

The werewolf leader who was kneeling at the front immediately said,

“We servants will definitely cooperate with you.”

Alpha Wolf brought his head down even lower.

“Very well.”

Harlen looked at the kneeling werewolves with satisfaction.

“Then, let me explain the plan.”

“You are a pack of vicious, cruel wolves who crave human blood and flesh.”

“And I am an ordinary human captured by you.”

“But you didn’t kill me.”

“Due to your overconsumption of blood, you are beginning to destroy everything around you.”

“Kill anyone you see.”

“Wait until the bar door opens to leap out and start massacring the humans.”

“It’s best to say something during a massacre to lighten the tense atmosphere.”

“As for what to say, it’s up to you guys to express yourselves freely.”

“In the end, you will be annihilated by the Holy Paladins.”

“It’d be best if it’s the kind that gets wiped out until there’s nothing left.”

“Do you understand?”

Harlen transmitted his thoughts to the pack of werewolves kneeling on the ground.

“Very clear, my master.”

The werewolf leader immediately replied.

Harlen turned to look at the door, then turned back to the group of werewolves kneeling on the ground.

He was calculating the time.

“It’s about time.”

“You can begin.”

Harlen motioned for the werewolves to start moving.

“Yes!!!”

The werewolves all chorused in unison.

Then…

The werewolf leader and the ten wolves behind him disappeared.

Bang!

Bang! Bang!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The moment the werewolf leader and his ten subordinates disappeared…

Countless explosions rang out from all directions within the bar.

At the same time…

The dust in the room that had mostly settled down, once again was kicked up anew.

In a few mere seconds, the dust once again covered the entire first and second layers of the bar.

This even included a few of the hidden rooms.

Although the werewolves were destroying everything in the bar at a speed invisible to the naked eye, Harlen’s eyes could clearly track the werewolves’ every attack.

In Harlen’s eyes, it was as though the werewolves were moving in slow motion..
