" The hole is too small,"

" I will have to use my fingers"

" Ahh! Not like that, you are doing it wrong.. You need to go in deeper."

" Mmm like that nice and slow…"

" Now the sand isn't getting in,"

" I can't watch this pitiful display any longer!"

Kibbles transformed into his spirit beast form before attacking the hole in the ground. Sand flicked up in all directions causing Heyu, Nathan and Loki to all be firmly covered in granules.

They covered their eyes and had shouted in unison.

" What the heck Kibbles!"

Kibbles admired his handy work before transforming back into his human form. " The amount of time it was taking you to build a fire pit was driving me insane. " Kibbles said with a nod before looking over at Undine and me.

Undine merely shook his head as he helped me cut up chunks of low ranking spirit beasts. It had been decided that since we were going to spend some time near the oasis we were going to make an entire day of it.

" Good job everybody!" I said with a smile.

I looked over at my friends and laughed heartily.

" You all look like the sand wurms," Undine said next to me.

" The meat is almost finished, can you get a fire going?" I asked Kibbles politely.

As Kibbles set the fire in the pit everyone else decided to jump back in the water to clean the sand that was sticking to their skin.

I couldn't help but feel the muscles in my shoulders begin to loosen. Incredibly we were all in high spirits. After I finished cutting the meat I walked over in slow steps to Loki.

Loki who had been sitting on the side of the water changing his bandage looked up at me and smiled.

" You need something?" Loki said as he finished tying off the ends of the bandage.

" mm.. Can we be alone for a moment?" I said as I looked around.

" Sure for you always," Loki replied with a raised eyebrow.

We walked away from the group a little and stood face to face.

"I was thinking of playing some earth beach games with everyone.. As you probably know I didn't get to go out much. Can you think of some fun ones?" I mentioned seriously.

" Oh haha is that all" Loki said seemly slightly disappointed.

" What did you think I was going to say?" I replied after a moment.

" Maybe that I am handsome?" Loki said as he put his hand on his face pretending to be in thought.

I looked him up and down and laughed.

" You are pretty handsome," I said pretending to eye him like an exhibit.

Loki surprised me by suddenly pulling me closer with one arm. He was close enough that his breath was against my lips.

" Water polo," Loki said quietly in almost a whisper.

[ His cheekiness has got to stop! ]

" What are you doing Yuki?!" Loki shouted grabbing the attention of others.

His ink black hair was draped across my arms. His shirtless body pressed up against mine. I felt his heart thumping wildly in his chest.

His started punching me with his one good arm. My comrades all looked over in shock as I carried Loki to the oasis.

" Cool off!" I said abruptly before I threw him in the water.

I dusted off my hands and I listened to him yelp as he landed in the water with a splash.

Bubbles formed as the water settled every pair of eyes was directed at the water.

Light began to shine underneath the waves as Loki stook up. He looked exactly like a drowned rat. He angrily glared at me with a half-embarrassed expression.

" You dare!!" Loki spat angrily.

I first bit my lip and then my chest tightened. My teeth firmly pressed together.

[ I can't hold it! ]

" HAHAHHAAHA amazing! The look on your face!" I said out loud as I held my belly.

Magic flowed from the tips of his hands and a small ball of light headed in my direct path.

I dodged to the side and laughed before I hid behind Nathan.

" Save me! Loki is on a rampage!" I said pretending to cower as I grabbed Nathan's bare shoulders.

Another ball of light shot towards us.

Undine looked over at Nathan and I's situation before flinging a water ball that exploded the light.

Nathan then nodded and shot a ball of water in Loki's direction.

It wasn't long until a magic snowball fight was upon us.

There was no one who was left out.

Elements of all kinds were shot in all directions.

" No not lunch!" Sora cried as a ball of water headed towards where Heyu had been.

Which happened to be right in front of the barbeque pit. Heyu noticed just in time and took a hit for the team as he dived back toward the ball. It landed square on his face.

Luckily everyone was just playing around so he wasn't injured at all.

He smiled brilliantly and looked at Sora after shaking the water out of his hair.

" I think you owe me a thank you," Heyu said with his nose held high.

" My lunch was in peril saved by the fearless knight Heyu!" Sora said with gusto as if he were in a one-man play.

" The villain of today's story is none other than… NATHAN!" Sora added as he turned dramatically to the culprit.

" haha my bad" Nathan said as he scratched the back of his head.

" Speaking of food... Is it ready?" Kibbles added as drool threatened to leave his mouth.

My stomach decided to betray me as it suddenly gurgled.

" I'm... pretty hungry," I said before everyone broke out into hearty laughter.

" Let's get prince Yuki fed before he starves to death" Nathan replied cheekily said surprising everyone.

" Aren't you the prince?" Kibbles said with his eyebrows raised.

" haha I guess I am aren't I don't mind sharing the title if it's Yuki. Anyway, let us eat!" Nathan finished with closing the discussion.

He walked over to the freshly finished wurm meat and began cutting slices.

" Yuki may I have the salad you prepared," Nathan said as he beckoned me over.

I smiled and nodded willing the salad from my inventory.

" For you my liege," I said with as I kneeled.

" Don't be stupid. You will never have to kneel to this prince again." Nathan said shaking his head.

" What about me?!" Sora said as he walked over.

" Of course you have to!" Nathan said with a hmph.

I looked over at the plate made of a giant leaf, the freshly cooked meat and the salad that rested in my hands as Sora and Nathan bickered.

[ I don't want this day to end! ]

Taking a bite I savoured the flavour a grin plastered on my face.
