112 Aurum Part 4

*** Kibbles POV ***

[ I am so bored! ]

There is only so much I can sit here and listen to Meowster Loki and these tall ladies talk. I held my paws together politely as the humans were on about really annoying things like diplomacy.

I had only been a living being for two years now. Being soul bonded to Yuki had been one adventure after another. There was that time that he nearly died… oh and that other time that he nearly died…

[ I guess Yuki almost dies quite a lot.]

I rolled over exposing my belly as Loki massaged my foot pads. It always feels amazing when Loki does it because he releases some healing magic into my feet making them hurt less from walking.

Unlike my stupid slave Heyu.

I looked over the surroundings as I tried to amuse myself. The air smelt dank like old tree stumps and mushy leaves. I don't actually mind the smell so I inhaled deeply letting out a puff on air as I sat calmly on Loki's lap..

[ This area sort of looks like Yuki's soulscape.]

There is a river lots of plants and some strange spirit beasts that the women were riding when they found us. If it wasn't for Loki using his cosmic powers on them they probably would have attacked us by now.

[ Smelly beasties! ]

" Look at your big nasty eyes!"

" And your snotty snouts!"

" And shaggy paw pads! Hmph Hmph! Dogs should stay in pens!!" I said glaring at the slobbering beast that one of the women were patting.

" Be nice Kibbles." Loki said to me telepathically.

" But Meowster they ARE smelly!!!" I said as I covered my nose with my paws.

" They are just spirit hounds. Don't tell me you hate dogs.." Loki said in response.

His voice rang through my head followed by bells of laughter.

" I'll tell Yuki you are picking on me" I said in a threatening tone.

" You can try little one and then you can watch as I bite your tail!" Loki said teasily.

Because I was used as a connection between the Lubu System and Cupid I had always been able to receive messages from Cupid. It had only been when Loki had split from Cupid that I had been able to reply to the messages I had received.

I guess in a lot of ways I was only a one way telephone until Loki appeared. I was really happy being able to hear the thoughts of meowster. Loki can converse with me and have a totally different conversation with someone else at the same time. It is especially helpful now when it gets boring.

It is kind of lonely not being able to join in the conversation since I don't have vocal cords like humans do.

[ I wish I could tell Heyu to pat behind my ears and not my belly at least.]

I rolled over and stood up as I decided to go exploring a little while we wait for Yuki and the rest to appear.

[ They are sure going to be surprised that we found the Tulk!]

[ As if they would rush over knowing that Loki is around! ]

The floor was wet under my feet. I used a little of my fire magic to dry my paws as I walked leaving a tail behind me like footprints in wet said.

There was no wind here since we were still in a cave system so there was nothing to blow dirt in my foot prints. I decided that it may be nice if I drew a picture so when Yuki came here he could praise me like he does Nathan.

"One foot"

'Two foot"

"Three foot"

" Four foot!"

I carefully watched where I walked as I tried to draw Yuki's face with my paw prints in the soft dirt.

" I miss you.." I said under my breath as I pouted.

Ever since Yuki has made friends I have felt more and more left out. I couldn't help feel a little jealousy boil in my belly. It was always him and I, and now… it is him and I and everyone else.

[ I hope he doesn't forget about me.]

I finished creating Yuki in the wet mossy earth and jumped in a tree to look at my finished product nodding in satisfaction.

I daydreamed about the years I spent together with Yuki and Puff smiling as I reminisced. The food Cupid had made at that time was delicious too.

My mouth began to drool a little as I thought about Cupids cooking and not so much long after my stomach growled.

" KIBBLES, LOKI?!" A panicked voice said as it echoed through the forest.

[ SORA?! ]

My ears twitched as I tried to listen for the direction that Sora's voice was coming from.

" There!" I said to myself as i jumped down from the tree.

I took one last look at the drawing I made for Yuki and raced towards the direction of Sora's voice.

It wasn't long till I saw him.

He was for some reason covered head to toe in water. I shook my head wondering what sort of adventure I missed out on as I meowed loudly trying to get his attention.

" Kibbles? KIBBLLESSS YOU ARE OKAY!" Sora shouted excitedly as he ran towards me.

" Please don't touch me you are wet." I said knowing he couldn't understand.

Sora picked me up and twirled me around for a moment.

I chanted under my breath sending heat from my breath to dry off his clothes.

" Did you dry me off? You are such a good spirit beast!" Sora said as he rubbed his cheek against me.

" Please stop. I only like when Yuki hugs me." I said impatiently.

" Wait this isn't the time" Sora said as he suddenly froze.

" Where is Loki? Are you okay? Wait… Nathan is in trouble! Ahhhhh what do I do!" Sora said as he paced frantically backwards and forwards holding me.

" If you put me down I could show you were Loki is" I said grumpily.

I looked at Sora hoping he would but me down and in the end he did leaving me just enough patience not to swipe at him.

I looked at Sora and then pointed my nose in the direction of Loki.

" This way dumb dumb" I said as I pointed with my nose.

He finally seemed to understand as I he followed me while I ran towards Loki.

On the way Sora happened to step on my Yuki picture.

[ I guess I won't have time to show him anyway..]

I sighed as we finally made our way back.

Sora had been shocked at first meeting the Tulk but when he realised we were safe he finally told us that Nathan was in trouble as we had to go and help him.

The Tulk where more than happy to send a small force back with Sora while Loki waited with their leader. Since I had nothing more to do I found a place to curl up and wait.

Wait for the chance to see Yuki again.
