92 I Am Kibbles Hear Me Roar!

The birds were singing, the sky was bright and the grass was waved gently in the wind. It was a beautiful day and there I was walking to the next class with Loki who didn't want to have anything to do with me due to embarrassment.

I left the burning questions I had in my chest to myself because if I asked him without proper precautions he would probably scheme a way to get out of answering me. This old cupid had been super flirty like everything had no consequences.

Loki, on the other hand, was more cheeky and a touch more stubborn from the looks of it. I walked just behind him. I quietly in my mind said goodbye to the lush grass while I petted Kibbles who was resting around my neck like a piece of jewellery.

Loki and I were making our way across campus after lunch to get to our new class when we were stopped in the middle of the hallway. There were girls all surrounding a small group of people I swear I could even make out tiny hearts in their eyes.

[ Not good! ]

" Loki we need to go another way, " I said to the grump who had his arms crossed in front of him.

" All of you take a step back, " Loki said in a slightly annoyed tone.

The girls in the area looked behind them to see who had made the noise they were angry for a moment before they notice Cupids features and swarmed him like bees around some sugar water.

" KYAAAA!!!" one of the girls shouted.

" What's your name?!" Said another with a large bun hairstyle.

" Are you a first-year??!" Said another with glasses.

" I am Loki now please excuse me, my young master is going to be late for class," Loki said in a cool tone.

" AYYYYYY Did you see the way he said, young master?!" The girl with the bun hair said before the rest of the girls went crazy.

" I would like to get through please," I said as I tried to walk past in a quiet voice.

" Red hair?! Spirit Beast?! Stern Looks?! YUKI AKIYO!!!" one of the girls said before I too was swarmed.

My only memories of high school were getting bullied and thrown in a toilet I went to cower backwards before Loki stood in front of me.

" Oh, Yuki a pleasure to see you," A mellow voice said across from me.

" Yuki!" A cute female's voice said.

I looked above the heads of the girls that were being charmed by Loki and saw Wen Wen and Prince Romeo with Hey you standing nearby. I glanced over Romeo and Wen Wen before I got stuck on the facial expression of the guard.

He seemed frustrated.

[ I wonder if he is okay ]

I looked at Loki and nodded my head as I made my way to Romeo and Wen Wen tapping them both on the shoulder as I greeted them.

Before I simply nodded my head at the guard so I wouldn't embarrass myself.

Loki finally made his way over and looked all three up and down before bowing a little.

" No need for formalities... And you are?" Prince Romeo said with his eyebrow raised.

" Just call me Loki, I am guarding my young master Yuki during his stay at this academy," Loki said in a perfect soldier tone.

" Kyaaaaa!!! They are all so handsome!" one of the girls said as she rocked from side to side in happiness.

" I like Loki!" one girl said.

" I like Prince Romeo the best!" said another who blushed and stared in Romeo's direction.

" Yuki looks so scary but in a good way! " said one girl with freckles.

" No, No the soldier guarding is the best!" said another before they all began to bicker.

" Oh my, whichever you like it doesn't matter ladies, they are all a delight for the eye," Wen Wen said in a cute tone before she winked in my direction.

" Lady Wen Wen!!" The girls said in unison before agreeing.

The girls all nodded and started to walk forward to talk to us again.

[ Women are terrifying. ]

" I am very sorry Crown Prince but I must make my way to class," I said apologizing as I looked at the girls who were coming closer.

" Letting me enjoy all these beautiful flowers alone? How kind of you!" Romeo said as he winked at the girls.

" KYAAAA!!!" they all looked like they were about to faint.

"Oh Yuki before you leave, Have you heard of the tournament coming up? Wen Wen said before smiling.

" Tournament? I replied before subconsciously hiding behind Loki as the girls came closer.

"Oh excellent what would I do without you Wenny?" Romeo said as he clapped his hands in joy.

" A few of us will be having an unofficial tournament as a way of welcoming me to your country. A few of the boys and girls have made me feel welcome by asking me to send my guards to fight against their guards." Romeo said as he smiled a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

" I see, so you want me to enter my personal guards to fight in the tournament?" I said with my brows frowned.

" Of course you are Yuki Akiyo one of Tama's finest are you not? I mean your soldiers must be the best of the best already!" Romeo said with vigour.

[ This chump! ]

" The Akiyo families guards must be so strong!" Said one girl behind me before a cheer was happening.

I looked at Loki and she mildly shook his head.

[ So you are not going to help huh? ]

" I mean just look at this fine young man, he doesn't look like much but I am sure he can defend you right?" Romeo said as he flicked his hair.

[ Did you just.. ]

" Oh? I don't look like much you say? " Loki said as he smirked.

[ Now you have done it… ]

" Young master please let Ren, Ki and Myself enter this tournament. I am sure we will leave just enough face for the competitors not to hate you" Loki said with a half smile.

[ I just feel the hole these two dug for me getting deeper ]

I sighed looking at the two whos eyes were shooting sparks at each other.

" I guess there is nothing to be done. If you wish to fight Loki, then, by all means, we will enter." I said after shrugging.

" Good lad!" Romeo said as he patted my shoulder.

" I am looking forward to the match!" Wen Wen said.

I took a glance at the guard who was standing near Wen Wen with his arms crossed. He took one look at me before he looked in the opposite direction avoiding my gaze.

By the time I had reached my classroom the rumour that Prince Romeo was versing I Yuki Akiyo in a fight to see who had better troops was in full force.

The bait had been taken hook, line and sinker.

[ That scum! I fell for his tricks! ]

I couldn't but sigh as I watched Nathan who was in the class with me walk up to my side and quietly ask if it was all true before I began to explain what had happened.

Unfortunately I was cut off by a slightly weighty teacher walking into the room. His walk was filled with grace as if it was our duty to watch as he took his seat in front of the room waiting for everyone to come in.

He was an older gentleman with hair cut into a pleasant style and a pair of glasses fitted onto his slightly rounded face. He was in every way a marshmallow boy. Round and fluffy just waiting for someone to pinch his cheeks.

" Hello everyone and welcome to my class. You can call me professor Romain and I am here to teach you young blooded children the ins and outs of beast taming and how to find your avatar. Welcome to bestiary A." Professor Romain said as he looked at all of us.

" Oh I see one of you has already started your journey," Romain said as he looked at me.

I put my head down embarrassed unsure of what to say.

" Hmm, I see the shy type. That Kithun was a runt considering how small it is the green mark on it's back is different, is it perhaps a variant. I would say rank 1 or 2 at most.?" Romain said as he looked at me.

" I am NOT small, " Kibbles said telepathically.

Kibbles jumped off my shoulder and landed on the table before roaring.

" MEEEEWWW" Kibbles said sweetly. I watched as the hearts in the room had all melted simultaneously at the cuteness.

Kibbles then looked at me and said " Was I terrifying? Look everyone is shocked!"

" This is my rank two soul bound spirit beast Kibbles and I am Yuki Akiyo, he and I will be in your care professor Romain," I said politely after standing and bowing.
