87 Circus

" Take a seat Yuki Akiyo, I see you have brought with you the ever lovely jewel of the Tama's Emperor's eye Princess Rosli it seems tonight will be even more wonderful then I Imagined" Romeo said as he walked over and gave Rosli a kiss on her hand.

" A pleasure to see you too Crown Prince Romeo" Rosli said without batting an eyelash.

Her demeanor had completely changed as she walked through the door. Everything from her posture to her breathing gave off the feeling that she was above all else looking down at the world as if it was her right.

Me on the other hand was most likely like a wilted flower next to her unable to acclimate myself to the scene in front of me.

The room in front of me screamed lavish.

The place reminded me of a sultans living space. The walls were painted with blues, greys and browns. There were throw pillows encrusted with small gems and couches lined with gold leaf. There was even hand stitched throw rugs which looked like they would be be put to better use hung in art galleries rather then leaned against.

A massive dining table was in front of me with food that I had never seen before. Some looked similar to things that I had seen in foreign restaurants like compote and sorbet that sat in jugs as well as Halva that seemed to be available for desert.

There was a selection of meats but I couldn't make out half of the spirit beasts used even what I thought was bread had a purple colour to it, it looked as if it was made from taro but I couldn't be sure.

[ Were they all Vance delicacies? ]

Romeo had looked at me after he finished talking to the princess his face uncovered a look of disappointment before it was quickly covered with a smile.

" Please take a seat, sorry for being short with you this morning I was rather tired." Romeo said with a kind voice.

" There is no need to worry" I said and smiled in return as I walked to a seat and pulled it out for the princess and beckoned her to sit.

Rosli raised her eyebrows for a moment before she walked over to me with the grace of a swan and sat down.

" Hello Yuki, Princess Rosli! I am glad you could both make it!" A girls voice had drifted into my ears as I looked over from the direction it came from.

" Rinny a pleasure to see you" I said as I saw the deep purple eyes that were staring at me.

Rinny was wearing a dark purple dress with gold accessories her hair was left to drape down her body as she was a circlet that had small pieces of gold that hung down. Rinny's dress was a lot more low cut then what I was used to seeing in Tama, even I couldn't help but stare at her chest as it wobbled slightly.

Rinny looked at me and smirked before she walked over and lightly brushed me out of the way before she sat down next to Rosli.

I felt lost as my seat was just taken I wondered what I should do before Romeo directed me to sit across from him as Wen Wen and Sora entered the room.

Wen Wen was wearing a long red gown that was a little see through with a shorter red dress underneath, she very much looked like supermodel as she strutted like she walked a cat walk and sat next to Rinny.

" Mr Akiyo, Princess Rosli what lovely outfits you are both wearing" Wen Wen said as she sat down with a thunk and crossed her legs while eyeing me off.

" You look quite beautiful yourself Lady Wen Wen" Rosli said smiling sweetly.

I couldn't quite understand but I felt like there was a tension in the room and the girls were not actually compliment each other but there were in fact throwing insults.

As I was about to make myself sick spitting pleasantries like a hotel staff manager Sora walked over and sat down next to me.

" Yo" Sora said smiling.

" Sora" I said awkwardly in return.

Sora was wearing a dark purple robe with dark red trimmings. It made his forest green hair stand out while he smiled at unfathomable smile at me.

Romeo was wearing a lavish gold and silver robe that made him look less like a prince and more like a church icon as he sat at the front of the feast.

Kibbles had been sitting on my shoulder the whole time, he quietly jumped down and landed on my lap.

Everyone had finally sat down on the round table and Romeo tapped his glass with a ting.

" It is strange for me to see such fine representatives of Tama at my table but wars eventually end and are replaced by peace. I hope that this meal will show you that I have come truly as an ambassador for that peace and I hope we younger generation will be able to maintain this fragile balance in future!" Romeo said as we all raised our glasses.

" To peace" Rosli said firmly.

" To peace" everyone else replied as they took a sip of their drink and the feast began.

Everyone at slowly and the conversation was rather strange. I felt like I was in a war zone rather then a dinner table.

I actually had to move my legs a few times as I felt a foot try and run itself down my thigh making me rather uncomfortable looking over at Wen Wen who was throwing me the occasional wink while the princess was not focused on the both of us made me rather unwell.

Sora on the other hand kept going for all the pieces of food that I was reaching for snatching them before I could bring my chopsticks to them.

He looked over at me provocatively from time to time waiting for me to argue with him but I just held my breath and took the mistreatment with a smile. I even went for dishes that looked really appetizing to me to trick him into eating them which made me feel a little better.

Rinny and Romeo took turns talking politics to Rosli who seemed utterly bored but was trying not to show it. I admit if I had not know her for so long I would not have been able to see through her mask.

" Yuki how are you finding Tama" Rinny asked as she looked in my direction.

[ What did she mean by this? Is this Rinura like I imagined? ]

" You mean this academy miss ? I have lived in Tama my entire life, unfortunately I have no other place to compare it to. How has your trip been so far?" I said in my best young master voice deflecting her question.

" My trip has been quite lovely a real eye opener" Rinny said as she swirled the liquid in her glass and smiled.

" I don't know what I would have done if Romeo had not taken me in" She said after a moment.

" Taken you in? " I said questioning her.

" mm I wandered around from a long time before the Crown Prince found me. We have been inseparable ever since" She replied hinting at their closeness.

"Wen Wen wants to talk to the red head to don't you hog him!" Wen Wen said in a childish tone as she pouted trying to entice me.

" You know your father would be angry if you flirted with Yuki right?" Sora said laughing.

" Know your place soldier!" Wen Wen replied in an angry tone.

" As you wish little miss" Sora replied playfully.

[ This is like being in a circus where all the clowns are crazy! ]

I patted the Kithun on my lap as I tried my best to keep composed.

" Yuki you okay? " Kibbles said feeling my unease.

[ Mm they are all weird, I don't feel comfortable here. If Wen Wen tries to touch my pants with her foot again I am not sure what I will do. ]

" Yuki how are you enjoying yourself? ' Romeo said averting his eyes from Rosli.

[ Can I leave? Is that an answer? ]

" Everything is fantastic thank you Crown Prince " I said with a half smile.

" In my country marrying more than one is quite normal, perhaps you can find yourself a lovely Vance girl if you come to visit our country further unifying our bonds to one another" Romeo said and shifted his glance on Wen Wen for a moment.

Rosli looked at me waiting for me to answer. Romeo had put me in an awkward position. If I say yes then Rosli would be upset, if I said no I would cause relational issues between Tama and Vance.

[ This bastard ]

As I thought about what to say Sora interrupted with a hearty laugh and said" Marriage? Yuki? Haha I don't think he could handle a Vance girl if he tried. Wen Wen would whip him so hard he wouldn't have a back when she was finished with him!"

[ He made it worse?! ]

" I had heart problems in the past. Of course Vance's women are lovely and divine in their own right but it was a struggle to accept the hand as someone as beautiful as charming as Princess Rosli due to my shortcomings in health. You must forgive me if I am reluctant to give an answer" I said as politely as possible.

" I see, you are quite the gentleman. Do not worry it was merely a comment in passing" Romeo said with a smile that did not quite reach his eyes.

[ Was this really a dinner party? ]

I looked over at Rosli who looked at me with her head tilted to the side before smiling broadly.

" Yuki is one of a kind you will not find another like him, Our Tama is lucky to have him" Rosli said quietly.

" I think so too" Sora said with a smirk.
