66 Rin Rin And A Pretty Frock.

The room around us seemed to drop a few degrees. I couldn't believe that Rinura had made contact with Ren. I wondered if Cupid knew, I wondered if the reason why Sora hated me so much had something to do with her.

I wondered in my already troubled predicament was made worse by her coming. Ki raised her eyebrow and while my head was running through every scenario simply asked " Who is Rinura?".

[ How do I explain this?! ]

I looked at her and was unsure how to explain everything. How could she who had been with me for several years and have even followed me in the shadows not know of someone I had been in contact with?

Honestly, right now I had more questions than answers.

" You know her Yuki?" Ren replied.

" Mm I know her and I can't say for certain if she is a good person or not" I replied in thought.

" So you going to tell us about her?" Ki replied.

" Would you believe me if I told you I can't answer that question. All I know is that she can be as dangerous as she is helpful" I said looking down at the ground.

Ki and Ren looked at each other.

" What did she say exactly?" I said trying to move the conversation forward.

Ren slightly sat up from the bed. It seemed to be painful for him as he looked me in the eyes for a moment then looked away and blushed.

" She said" Ren paused and spoke.

" She said while your love guru is busy, she thought she would gift you a present," Ren said he was clearly embarrassed having to recite what she said.

" Does any of this mean anything to you?" Ren said after a moment.

[ Cupids away? Does that mean the gift... Was Sora? ]

" Did she say anything else?" I replied.

" The only other thing she said was a warning that Sora was going to try and Kill you as well as to wish you all the best in school next year" Ren replied.

Ren played with his fingers a moment before looking up at me.

" It was thanks to her that you are alive," Ren said afterwards in a very quiet tone.

" Where is this "Rin Rin" now?" Ki asked in my place.

" I don't know, she jumped out the window and then vanished. That is when I called for you Ki cause I saw the assassins coming" Ren replied.

I sat down on the side of Ren's bed and held my head in my hands. I then took a big deep breath in and out.

[ Kibbles please come in here ]

" But I want to nap!" Kibbles replied inside my head.

[ It is to do with Cupid, can you reach him? ]

" Meowster Cupid?! Give me a moment "Kibble's voice reverberated inside my head.

Ren, Ki and I heard the pattering of little paws coming from outside hitting the polished floors.

Ki and Ren both looked over in shock as Kibbles ran around bouncing as if he had eaten too much sugar before finally calming down and stopping at my feet. I explained the information that I had just received to Kibbles telepathically and then asked him to pass it over to Cupid.

" Ki please quickly close the door!" I said quietly.

" As you wish young master" Ki responded before walking up to the door and closing it.

Ki, Ren and I all watched how Kibbles seemed to calm himself and close his eyes before a green, a red and a black light glowed all around him in hazy hues. He suddenly opened his eyes and a third one appeared in the centre of his head before each eye was a different colour.

" Young Master?! What is this?" Ki said with a shocked expression.

" Please be quite he is doing something for me" I whispered before Ki covered her mouth.

" Yuki, I can't seem to.." Kibbles said in a strained tone.

The colours covered Kibbles seemed to merge into a murky grey before they shined bright. I was glad there were no windows in this room or the whole street would have glowed.

" Found him, sending a message," Kibbles said weakly.

The light finally died down and Kibbles fell asleep on the floor. Just sending a long distance message like this was mind-boggling to me. I couldn't begin to imagine how much magic Kibbles had.

I picked up the sleeping Kibbles in my arms before stroking him gently and quietly saying " thank you".

" You going to explain what just happened?" Ren said recovering from his shock.

" Please don't tell anyone, let's just say it was my way of saying I trust you both. You can't even tell grandfather. When I am ready I will explain everything" I said to both Ren and Ki.

Hopefully, if any of this was important enough Cupid would get back to me sometime soon. I decided it was best to leave it in his hands. I mean what could I possibly do against someone who can create universes?

" As you wish young master " Ki said with a smile.

" I am happy to wait," said ren who was also smiling.

I paced back and forward inside the room for a moment. Taking in everything that had happened thus far before pausing my steps.

" Right! How are we going to get back to grandfathers estate? Knowing my luck the assassins are still outside waiting for us." I said.

[ No point worrying about something I can't do anything about ]

"How about we call your grandfather for reinforcements and slaughter them all?" Ren said with a serious face.

" We can't do that, what is to say the runner won't be killed and tortured for our position" Ki replied solemnly.

" Young Master can we perhaps pose as travellers?" Ki replied after a moment.

" They could be checking at the exits for us" Ren replied.

" This is an auction house. Can we sneak out with some goods?" I said after some thought.

" You mean in a crate or something?" Ki looked at me and blinked.

" Yeah or in a caravan," I said quickly.

" Yuki, you know the whole trip will be uncomfortable and they may be transporting dung or something. If it was just Ki and me, maybe but you are an important figure. You have to think about your reputation" Ren said with his hand on his chin.

" What if the young master wasn't… young master?" Ki said with a cheeky smile.

[ I don't like where this is going! ]

" We can have Wen escort you out dressed as a young maiden," Ki said looking me up and down.

" YOU ARE JOKING RIGHT?!" Ren yelled.

" You can pose as one of his guards they all have masks on, I can pose as your handmaiden and Yuki can be Wen's young lover," Ki said nodding at her own suggestion.

" I really don't like the sounds of this" I replied looking at Ki.

" Do you have a better idea?" Ki said out loud to the both is us.

" Why can't I be a guard too if they all wear masks?." I said quickly.

" Because you are too... short. Young master" Ki responded.

Ren tried to hold in a laugh as I puffed my cheeks.

" Ki before you go crazy, please get Wen in here, I will see if he has any better ideas," I said dejectedly.

Ki laughed and bowed before exiting the room.

" Don't worry young master, I won't let you get dressed up as a girl," Ren said holding up a fist.

After a few incense sticks of time and many, many arguments … It was decided. In a few days when Ren had recovered, we were going to all pose as various members while Wen escorted us with an armed guard back to the town near grandfathers house.

He apparently he had some goods to deliver anyway.

Perhaps it was pay back for what I had said to Wen about Ki but he seemed horribly insistent on me dressing like a girl.

[ The lot of them are all toads! ]

I left the room exhausted and laid down with Kibbles before drifting off into a dreamless sleep.

The next few days of planning were going to be even more exhaustive.

[ At least everyone will be safe for now ]
