**** Cupids point of view ***

I was looking out over my back porch, my back porch, it was more like a veranda that looked over the edge of a tiny universe. My house you see, is a chunk of rock floating around a dying star that I had stopped time for.

It wasn't much but for me, I called it home.

With two fingers I pinched a tiny marble, inside it was galaxies that orbited around one another, vast black holes and the first soul that I had ever created. This soul had many faces, names, genders and species over time but as my first creation I always quietly watched over them.

I watched them as a blade of grass nurtured by a rising star, I watched them as a creature that had killed more than they had saved, I watched them as a saint worshipped by the people they served and I even watched them as a depressed gay man trying to figure out how a microwaved meal worked.

You see people like me are a drop in the ocean, just like many others, I trained my martial arts, fought beasts I thought were strong and rose up like a phoenix from the ashes before becoming the strongest in my universe. However, there is always a bigger fish and a higher mountain to climb.

After a time longer than I care to imagine, I had become strong enough to create a universe and travel between them, just like I found out someone had done for mine. I then found out in my travels that everything I had done was truly just a moment within a moment, insignificant.

I was so angry. I felt like every win and every loss I had ever faced meant nothing. Watching my partner die… the thing that had left me fighting in the first place was the same to my creator as a drop of water falling from the sky and landing on dirt.

I wanted to be different, I wanted to watch over the beings that I could create. I was not a God, since the Gods merely lent us who were strong enough, the power to build but I wanted to try to be different.

A God was several million times stronger than me, they could wipe away my existence with merely a thought. They probably saw me as no more than a speck of dust floating in the wind.

Rinura on the other hand merely laughed when I told her.

"That's the stupidest thing you have ever said, you merely blink and a planet has lived it's entire lifespan. Why worry about a few measly souls? Just let them do their own thing, gain power from their prayers and watch!" I remembered her saying.

My fist clenched up just thinking about her stupid purple hair and black dress. Her golden eyes were scrunched up at the time as if to mock me.

She, like me, is another being that had transcended the limits of her universe. She unlike me, was okay being seen as a speck of insignificant dust.

We had been friends longer than most planets had been in existence but we had never seen eye to eye on some things.

I have no idea what she did and no matter what, she wouldn't tell me. She seemed mad that I had spent so much time thinking about the world and beings I wanted to create. Finally, when I had done it she didn't seem satisfied with just mocking me

"Making things more interesting..." was all she said as she threw my creation marble back at me.

I could only sigh at that point. She had always been stronger than me. She was like a big sister stomping on my sandcastle.

I left as soon as she had finished laughing and returned home to inspect the universe I had built. She hadn't changed any of the laws like last time or directly interfered with my first soul like the other time, in fact, nothing seemed to be different at all.

It worried me. I looked again this time combing over everything I had built with my mental link.

[ Wait… She didn't? did she? ]

I noticed a faint vibration from Rinura's power on the planet I had made for my first being.

"I am not sure how I can fix this… " I said as I sighed.

I closed my eyes and sent a small burst of energy to the system I had created.

[ It's up to you Kibbles.]

I looked over at the vast nothingness that pervaded my vision and tried to figure out my next steps.

[ Rinura what have you done?! ]

** Yuki's point of view ***

I was just about ready to leave, Kibbles, Ren and Ki were all able to move again so we all decided to head back home.

I watched as a few of the soldiers said their final farewells to my father and even asked for autographs. I watched as my father carved a few etchings into peoples shields and smiled.

The soldiers all stood up on the top wall and waved as I turned around one last time. Tau and Rain and the cook were all standing on the highest position and saluted before waving.

After a few hours, we had finally reached the entrance to Tama forest. I was amazed looking at it, the immense distance of how much Ren had walked with both Ki and I injured and unconscious. I looked at him sitting high up on his saddle looking straight ahead and I couldn't help think about how cool he is.

[ Maybe when I am older... I can.. Never mind ]

My face had turned the colour of a tomato while I shook my head musing over my silly thoughts.

I had gotten a little bit better at riding so I had Kibbles who was looking out at the surroundings wrapped in one of my arms, while the other was on the saddle.

Suddenly Kibbles seemed to have groaned slightly, the Kithuns eyes seemed to grow wide. It looked at me and started to paw.

" Please stop moving around little guy! " I said as I tried to stabilize my steed.

" Something the matter? " Ki said as she rode up next to me still bandaged.

" Mm Kibbles is being weird," I said as Kibbles pawed again.

[ Hey Kibbles what's up? ]

I had tried calling a few times but I had gotten no response. In fact, Kibbles had not spoken to me since taking over the Kithuns body.

Kibbles started clawing at me again trying desperately, as if trying to say something before falling, fainting in my arms.

I couldn't shrug it off but I couldn't do anything about it. So I decided to wait until it woke up again.

As we made our way into the camp where the soldiers were waiting with our mounts. I couldn't help but wonder what had happened.

I held Kibbles closer to me.

We grabbed everything we had left before heading back away from the forest and back towards home.

[It is finally all over…]

I gave one last look towards the forest that nearly took my life before I urged my steed forward.

I sighed in relief.

" Young master are you excited to be going home!" Ren said as he slowed down to match my pace.

" mmm! " I sounded before nodding.

Our journey had lasted for several hours and the sun was setting as I had finally saw the place I called my new home. I was beaming from ear to ear!

Standing at the entrance way was my Mother, Ishi, Riku and.. the princess.

" YUUUKKKIIIIIIIIIIIII!" I heard her shrill loud pitched call as she ran up to my mount.

[Just who I wanted to see..]

She had tears in her eyes. I stumbled off my mount and she gripped my arm before rubbing her tiny face up against me.

" I .. hic.. was .. so .. worried.. Hic!! Yuki!!! You're okay!" the princess said as she rubbed my arm more.

" Mm.. It's okay .. I am home now" I said.

[ I guess some things will never change. ]
