Chapter 49 - Wilderness (3)

(3rd person's POV)

Not too away far from the camp, a couple was holding hands with each other. They lying down on the grassy plain while silently staring at the night sky.

In front of them was a dark blue lake, mirroring the dazzling glimmer of starlights. The occasional faint winds brushed against the water's surface, creating beautiful ripples as if the stars themselves were rocking gently with the waves.

Above them, the stars were flickering in various light—red, blue, orange, white. With no cloud glooming over the sky, everything was in full view. And it just so happened that today was a full moon, a super moon at that.

All of these scenes blended together, creating a gorgeous scenery.

But in their eyes, the scenery was just a background, a minor setting. It was not significant, and its only job was to make things feel more pleasing.

All they're caring for is to be with each other.

No matter what. No matter where. No matter when. No matter why...

For him, she is one of the reasons why he's living. Her cute smile, her look, her soul, her existence, and above all—her love. He loves each of her imperfections, even if it's wrong. And as each day passing by, he began to discover more of her. Her once apathetic personality was now replaced with one much more charming liveliness. The color of her soul was blooming brighter, in a more heartening manner. And he was proud... as she is the very definition that a person can change.

And without any less, the girl loves him just as much. He had pulled her out of a miserable hellhole. He gave her a purpose. A reason to live. A family... And all those years that she was deprived of freedom, she was finally given a chance to pursue her own happiness. All because of him. Though she couldn't give much back, she will prove to him—that she's not just a weak girl who needed protection. One day, with her strength, she will be able to stand on her own and maybe even protect her lover.

Right at this moment, they have never loved each other any less, nor would it ever show a hint of it fading away.

The couple was simply just enjoying their time together. It was rare for them to be alone, and today, they were going to savor it slowly...

"Can you make my brėȧst bigger?"

Out of nowhere, Historia suddenly asked this one random, yet awkward question.

They have been contemplating in silence while admiring at the beautiful night sky. And for two hours straight, they didn't speak one word to another.

Yet... This happened.

"It's just... mine is so small. Do you like small brėȧsts?"

"*Cough*, *Cough*, Ahem. Well, everybody got their own perks. You don't have to worry about them."

"Really?" Historia replied with a questioning look. If there's one thing she knew, it's that her boyfriend likes bigger brėȧsts. After all, she caught his eyes trailing toward those massive peaks belonging to Mikasa quite a couple of times.

"Yes. Breasts or no brėȧsts. You are still you." Then Athanatos said it with confidence. But behind that look, you can see a hint of happiness. He was clearly happy that he managed to say a really profound phrase.

Then with a playful tone, she then asked while playing with her hair, "Well... It would be hard for our children to drink milk, if my thing is not big enough, right?"

"*COUGH*! W-what're you saying. It's not an issue at all. Small brėȧsts also have advantages." Then Athanatos realized that she said 'children'. That was plural. She wanted to have more than one kid.

"Oh... really? Like what?"

"Ahh... Ah. I got it. It's cute. Small brėȧsts are cute."

"..."

She was speechless. Although she expected that he would say something like this, she had a bigger expectation. Something more encouragingly than just cute. When it comes to a woman's ȧsset, using the word cute to describe it is basically depreciating them.

"Hmph. Not talking to you anymore." Then she pouted while puffing her cheek out.

But Athanatos wasn't lying when he said it was cute. Though it may have not been bountiful, it wasn't like it was all flat. In fact, she was within the upper zone of A cup, on the verge of breaking into B. Maybe in just a couple more years of massaging, her dream will finally be realized. Furthermore, god knows how big can her brėȧsts get when she has a bunch of kids. Maybe it will go even further than a C!

But after a while, she finally breaks the silence.

"Hey, Thana-kun. What are you going to do about those bandits."

"Just leave it for Eren and the rest to deal with it. After all, it's not every day that you get such a good opportunity like this. Sooner or later, they will have to fight with other human beings. This will be a good exercise for them."

That was the biggest mercy Athanatos could have given him. Rather than just killing or arresting them, which is a much bigger hassle, altering their personas to become a good person is definitely a better solution.

In fact, it didn't even take Athanatos one second to do the trick. All he did was deleting all of the bandit's memories, and implanting one that was already made. As a matter of fact, at least 300 people in this world have the same memories as this bandit.

It was simply just copied and paste!

Truly a convenient method.

But this wasn't the only bandit. Over at the campsite, the whole team was being surrounded with guns pointing at their head.

The purpose of these bandits was to steal the ODM gears, as it will sell quite a lot on the black market, especially now that almost all crime syndicates are wiped out.

How will the team react to this predicament that is unexpectedly presenting to them?

Will they overcome it?

Who knows?
