Chapter 11 - A true family

(MC's POV)

These past few weeks have been quite eventful. I got to travel around the city and learning new things. Dr. Yeager and his wife, Carla were also likable people, unlike their son. I was told that we should befriend each other but I don't see that ever happening.

Eren, this guy gets on my nerve every f**king time. Survey Corps this, Survey Corps that... GOD, WHEN WILL THIS GUY NOT SHUT UP.

Another thing that got me the most was... I was finally adopted into the Ackermann family. I went together with the whole family to one of the nearby government branches and did some paper works. After a few questions about my identity, I told them I came from one of the abandoned orphanages. Of course, they were suspicious since there was no record of me. But, these people... geez, as long as you give them enough money, they will shut up.

So after getting everything done, my new name became Athanatos Ackermann. Neat, it sounds really manly if I say so myself.

To celebrate this event, Karl and I hunted a large boar. We invited the Yeager family to our celebration. Of course, I didn't forget Armin and his grandfather. This guy is very bright but his battle instinct is so trash that I can confidently say that he's weaker than most 5 years old. I really like this little dude, his brain is extremely innovative. It's unlike most people here who only think education is a joke. I rather admired him for being so ambitious about seeing the sea. I have already seen it countless times. That's an understatement. It's more like, I have been in it for so many times that I don't wanna go there again. I have fought sea monsters IN THE SEA for weeks before stopping.

Enough of that, so besides me, there's a total of 8 people in this party. I'm so glad to be alive. Ever since my previous parents died, being happy was the furthest thing in my mind. Revenge was all that I have had left but even then, it was quite meaningless. I fought monsters, demons, and even humans. I fought and fought without a care, and also not minding the fact that I was being used.

So being here, where people appreciate my existence makes me very happy... not you Eren. I still don't like this guy. I don't know why but I feel this guy is so goddamn stupid. He's probably gonna be the cause of deaths for many people in the future. My predictions are usually never wrong but I hope such an event will never happen. Even if he's annoying, he's also an important friend(?) of mine.

Goddamn it, when will I get straight to the point. I'm too emotional right now. If I don't distract myself with something depressing or annoying, I think I will really cry. ｡ﾟ･（>﹏<）･ﾟ｡

Right next to the garden of the Ackermann's house, there lies a group of people surrounding a boy.

The boy was blindfolded so he couldn't see anything but he could feel that they were preparing something special for him. When he took off his blindfold...

Actually, his real birthday was in another 4 months but he didn't even care about his past life anymore. Not when he had a new family, a true family.

Behind them, there were two poles hanging up a banner made of animal hides. On the banner, embroidered words were skillfully sewn. It said:

No words could describe the feeling that Athanatos was going through. It was moments like these, that it reminds him that he's human after all. Tears began to erupt out of the Athanatos' eyes. His voices started to crack and sobbing noises could be heard.

"Sob* sob*. Th-th-hank you, ev-ver-yone.｡･ﾟﾟ･(>д<)･ﾟﾟ･｡"

It seemed that the day had just started...
