Chapter 214: Stella's Strength ( Part 2 )

Stella's Force Reflect could even affect her Master when they experimented on it. Now that she had gotten used to it, she could use the same ability with higher accuracy and also execute it together with her own attack.

Thanks to the distraction that the reflected energy sword made, she managed to cross the distance easily and launched an attack...

Whoosh!

It is a simple and direct sword stab aiming at the opponent's heart. She's only using one of her swords and she's already showing a tremendous aura.

Her own sword intent exploded as the three Arcanists had finally realized that they are not fighting against some normal assassin...

In front of them is a genuine sword expert and they could die at any moment...

Haa!

One of the Arcanists finally reacted and destroyed a vial of potion on the ground... It created a pungent smell but Stella doesn't care about this... She doesn't know its purpose but even if it's a poison, she's confident that Lyrei would be able to help her with her natural Arcane Magic.

Nevertheless, she felt that there's a better way of dealing with this... She silently poured her Spiritual Energy into her ring, the same Magic Item that has a Ghost Walk skill, then she confidently rushed towards the man in the middle…

"Hmph!"

The man didn't falter and decided to trust his Shell Protection to defend against her attack while also dispelling the Energy Sword that was reflected.

He then pulled a dagger and throw it at Stella.

Whoosh!

The dagger isn't meant to kill her but to do something else.

However, as he was waiting for the dagger to get closer to her, he suddenly felt pain in his chest...

Puchi!

A sword pierced his chest!

"H-How?!" He couldn't believe what his eyes are seeing... Stella is already in front of her! He's sure that he was watching her...

His eyes suddenly turned round as he realized what happened.

Apparently, she gave them a false distance by a mirage of herself. This is definitely an ability of one of her Magic Item.

The man no longer bothered to trigger the dagger to explode... That was supposedly his plan to kill this female assassin.

"Y-you--" The man was disgruntled by falling for such cheap tricks...

Her Ghost Walk and Mirage weren't some rare Arcane Magic within Dukedom, even he himself has an item that can release such magic...

However, her ferocious aura as a swordsman made them feel like she'll genuinely clash with them at a close distance...

Although he managed to dispel the Energy Sword she reflected, he didn't have enough time to react to her sword strike at all...

"Lord Moist!"

The two Arcanists shouted after seeing a sword piercing the man's body.

They felt terrified at first but it also triggered their desire to fight for their life. They have a chance to escape but they can't let his sacrifice be in vain...

Haa!

One of them used Wind Pulse to blow her away to keep their distance...  The other one followed up by controlling the ground where Stella landed.

He's planning to restrict her movement… Once she's caught in the soft ground they created, she would have a hard time removing herself in a short period of time.

'Wind Pulse and Ground Grip? These are Rare Arcana's abilities... I can do this...'

Stella recognized their skills as she felt confident dealing with them. The rankings of Arcana aren't just to display their different colors when being summoned...

The ranking itself was made for them to realize how strong their Arcana are. By being strong, it doesn't just point to the number and quality of the Arcane Magic they have, but the rankings will also tell about the power that the Arcanist can release once the Magic is cast by their wielder.

If a Rare Arcana can only handle 10 Units of Spiritual Energy in max, it means that even if it is handled by an Arcanist that has 100 Units of Spiritual Energy, their power would still be limited by 10 units...

They wouldn't be able to maximize their power at all…

However, a unique Arcana can accommodate 30 units of energy at once…

"Bring it on…"

Stella used her Vambrace's Bank to continuously supply herself with a tremendous amount of Spiritual Energy…

The enemy used their multiple Arcane Magic on her but she just run through them and completely ignored their effects.

"What kind of magic is this?"

"This is not possible! It must be another mirage!"

"We need to escape for now!"

The two Arcanists used a few Arcane Magic to defend themselves as they quickly moved away…

Their anger has finally subsided after seeing her unstoppable rush… They are still angry about the death of Lord Moist but they have to do tactical retreat and plan for their next battle.

In any case, the pungent vial of liquid they break a moment ago should be taking effect by now…

As a matter of fact, something should be happening at the Broken Fang's main team by now…

After all, these people know the strength of Holt, Lyrei, and Ilphas as their main members. They didn't send those low-class bandits just to get them killed without reason. They send them there to buy some time for the real trouble to come…

However, the young girl chasing them wanted to finish them now…

"You're not escaping!"

Stella pulled out another one of her swords as she used her Ghost Walk again and appeared beside the two…

Ssak—

Her enhanced sword sliced the body of the two Arcanists as their eyes are filled with disbelief. Their Shell Protection, Arcane Barrier, and Tenacity Aura were unable to defend against one of her sword strikes at all…

Their faces were filled with grievances as they dropped lifelessly on the ground…

'Mhmm… What's this dangerous aura?'

Stella was about to check the items they left behind when she suddenly had a foreboding feeling.

"Aahhh!"

"Captain! Be careful!"

Clang! Clang!

Stella suddenly heard the intense battle below… She stood on the rock where the three men are watching their main team and found that they have a really nice view here…

She can see that Captain Holt is fighting a large beast alone while the others were holding off three more of them though a bit smaller in size…

"Werewolves?"

She didn't know that there are werewolves on this land at all. She wanted to quickly help them but she suddenly felt a bloodlust behind her…

Bang!

As she jumps away, the rock where she was standing was destroyed by another large werewolf… This beast is about triple her size…

Growl!

She noticed that the werewolf actually hit the rock where the vial of liquid was previously thrown… It seems that this beast was attracted by that smell.

'Tsk… This is troublesome…' Stella quickly used her Life Detection to see if there are other Werevolves coming for her...

Fortunately, there's only this one beast that she has to deal with.

She glanced at her team below and realized that they are already struggling with all the Werewolves attacking them…

"Fine… I'll take you on. Let's see what you can do…"

She decided to just handle this herself and perhaps she may even be able to finish this first.

Stella smirked as she gets a bit excited… She never had a chance to use her full-body armor ability against an opponent yet… However, this might be the first time depending on this werewolf's ability…

***

Captain Holt and Lyrei felt a bit worried after seeing the werewolves came rushing at them after they killed the bandits…

It is not because they can't handle them but because they know that Stella is currently alone chasing the mastermind behind this attack.

Bang!

Holt used an explosive arrow on the werewolf but the beast just raised its hand and caught it like it was nothing…

"Hmph… Arrogant."

He knows that werewolves weren't afraid of blunt weapons and Arcane Magic because of their physical strength and their hide's natural immunity against magic…

This is the reason why he's trying to attack using various abilities like an explosion, poison, and other restrictive magic since he also found out that his arrow couldn't even penetrate his steel-like fur…

"Lyrei… Can you still sense Stella?"

Holt suddenly asked after finding an opportunity. They are both dealing with werewolves but are still thinking of Stella who was fighting alone against the Mastermind of this ambush.

"Don't worry… Although she's fighting someone, I can sense that she's still filled with vigor… There shouldn't be any problem on her side."

"That's good to hear… We have to finish here as well… These beasts should be dead once she arrived! Understand?!"

The latter part was shouted to be heard by everyone…

"Yeah!"

The crowd cheered as they increased their morale while fighting against the werewolves.

They were surprised at first since they haven't fought a werewolf before. However, as the battle lasted longer, they are slowly finding a better way of handling them…
