Chapter 104.1

Noah said goodbye to Muel and was immediately led to the top floor of the Security Department. She had heard that the interrogation rooms and detention centers for violent criminals were located underground in the building. Of course, it was a luxurious VIP room where Noah was led to.

There was a stylish bed, closet, and other furniture. A bathroom was on the left, and there was even a sparkling chandelier that hung from the ceiling.

“It’s not bad. Wow, it’s like a regular hotel.”

“It’s a room for the royal family or aristocrats who came as witnesses. However, the door will still be locked and the recorder will be turned on, too. Will you be alright?”

“It doesn’t matter. If I lie down right now, I feel like I’m going to pass out completely for about two days.”

Kyle was putting the luggage down on a table, but before Noah could reach the bed he stopped her.

“I don’t know how many times I’ve told you Miss Noah, but you need to wash up before going to bed, change your clothes, and then lie down. Miss Noah. Why don’t you practice changing into pajamas every day?”

“Muel’s a baby and should do that! But I’m an adult.”

“Muel is a dragon, but you’re a fragile human being with no immunity to illness and no stamina.”

“I’ve become quite immune, and now I can stand your nagging like this.”

Kyle gave up on lecturing Noah and grabbed her shoulder and pushed her into the bathroom. And without answering, Noah slammed the door shut. Noah had unbuttoned the front of the dress when she had a thought and opened the bathroom door again.

“So what’s the schedule for the interrogation ahead?”

The words didn’t go all the way. A man and a woman were seen beyond the half-open door. The man was Kyle of course, and the woman was the investigator earlier. Penelope.

“Well…”

Noah couldn’t hear what they were talking about because of the distance, but Noah could see that Penelope held and pulled Kyle’s arm. Kyle obediently followed her, and soon disappeared beyond the door.

“Huh.”

Noah blinked for a moment then left the bathroom and approached the half-open door and closed it.

“What are you doing, you left the door open when you know I’m in the bathroom?”

She was a little grumpy and felt a little weird. Noah crossed her arms and stared at the closed door for a moment.

It was weird. It was none of her business whether he’s with a pretty lady or not.

That’s what she thought, but there was still a lingering annoyance, so Noah took a shower and went straight to bed.

* * *

“Oh, right.”

Noah is in the bathroom.

As Kyle walked down the stairs, he suddenly looked up the stairs in a hurry. Investigators were supposed to take turns guarding Noah’s room. Judging from her eccentric lifestyle, it was obvious that she would wander around the room with only her pajamas on.

Fortunately, the door was closed. Kyle sighed with relief and frowned as he turned around again. He felt a dull pain in his left chest.

Kyle finally went down the stairs as he unbuttoned the uniform he had defended from Noah. He thought it was quite fortunate that Noah Park was ignorant like this.

Penelope, one of his immediate subordinates, urged him.

“Captain, let’s go.”

“Where?”

“I’ve called a doctor. You have to go right away.”

Kyle shook his head as he handed his uniform jacket to Paul, the subordinate who followed him like a puppy.

“I just need to treat it. There’s tons of work to do. Is Lenia Valtayer locked underground?”

“Captain, boss, you have to treat it quickly. The wound seems to have opened several times already!”

Paul freaked out and blocked him. As Kyle frowned, he grabbed his shoulder and pointed at his right side.

That morning, Kyle had bled again from the bandaged wound which he had stopped and disinfected. Kyle felt awful when he saw his clean shirt stained with blood again. Naturally, his subordinates reacted with worry.

“We’ll take care of Lenia Valteyer’s statement, so go get some treatment from the doctor! Please!”

“Since when did you think of me like that?”

Kyle ignored all his subordinates and headed to his office on the third floor. He sighed when he saw the line of medical staff that waited for him in front of his office.

“You guys…”

“Let’s go in, Captain.”

The speaker was a lawmaker that was in charge of the Investigation and Security Bureau, known for his strictness. Eventually, Kyle moved into the office.

Click. Penelope and Paul relaxed only after the office door closed. Paul rubbed his forehead roughly.

“He’s a workaholic, sometimes I think he doesn’t feel pain.”

“Oh, right. You guys…”

Paul, who was grumbling, freaked out as the door opened.

“I didn’t say anything, boss!”

“What?”

Kyle looked back with a frown. He was bare-chested as he had been forced to take off his shirt by the medical staff. Perhaps the reopened wound hurt, but Kyle, with his rebandaged waist, threw a small recorder to Penelope.

“It’s a recording of all the events that happened on the ship Angelic. Go and edit them.”
