My day started out normal.

I woke up, went to the café downstairs, ordered my breakfast before sitting down on the hard and cold metal benches.

I sat with my laptop open, with one headphone in, listening in on my newest university lecture. The waitress, brought out my coffee (which was hazelnut because ya know, Nutella is made from hazelnuts, even though hazelnut coffee doesn't taste like Nutella I still like it,) she also brought out my eggs and toast.

I had my coffee cup inches from my mouth when a long freezing wind suddenly blew over the café. Frowning, I pulled on my cardigan and curled up, it was mid-Spring so a cold breeze was quiet strange. Then there was a bright flash of white light.

People began to panic, before realizing that it was nothing to worry about, that was before a deep and ice cold voice pierced through the air.

"Where may I be?"

I turned to look at the source of the voice, and damn, it was a nice view.

He was dressed in odd clothing, a long black tunic, with gold bands around his chest. His hair was long, black and in a total mess, his face was a pale as snow, and his eyes, were just mesmerizing, a deep icy blue.

The owner of the café Brian came storming out, "Buddy, you're in Brisbane.''

The man turned to face Brian, "Brisbane, what is that?"

Brian frowned, ''Brisbane is a city, capital of Queensland, located in Australia.''

"That doesn't help I was in Asgard just a second ago."

The Brian looked at the man confused, "What in the bloody hell is Asgard, mate we already told you this is Brisbane.''

The man looked at Brian with a bit of rage, "I don't care where, I want to know what realm!"

I stared at this man, he looked lost, confused, and even frightened. Feeling sorry and sympathetic for this man, I searched through my brain for any knowledge of a place called Asgard. Finally, something clicked. So, I spoke up.

"If you claim your from where was it Asgard?"

He turned to face me and nodded his eyes capturing mine. It took all my will to not get caught up in them.

"Then I believe we are in Midgard." Thank goodness for Rick Riordan books.

"Midgard!" He exclaimed.

"Look if you don't know where you are, we can help you figure it out.'' Brian put his hand on his shoulder.

"You dare threaten me I'm am Loki son of Odin, heir to the throne of Asgard and the nine realms of the universe."

Brian stepped back and held up his hands, "Woah easy mate, I'm just trying to help you."

I got up and stood beside Brian, facing the man, trying to make my expression as kind as I could.

Brian turned to face me, "Do you know this guy?"

I shook my head, "Did you say your name was Loki?" I asked.

"Yes.''

I took a step towards him, "Is there anyone you can contact?"

"My brother possibly?"

"Do you want to borrow my phone and see if he'll come and get you."

"Phone? What is that? Some type of Bifrost?"

"Um, yeah sure."

"Then yes, I'd like to use it please.

"Then come along.''

Brian gave me a weary look before storming back into the café.

I turned away and grabbed my stuff. I beckoned Loki to follow me and headed inside the apartment building where I lived. Once inside the elevator I turned to him.

"So, who are you actually?"

"I already confirmed that I'm Loki son of Odin.''

"Okay then.''

"And who are you?"

"Ingrid Lastensture daughter of a dick who fucked my mother and ditched me."

He gave me a blank look.

"My parents gave me up, so I don't know who my parents are.''

He lowered his gaze, "I'm sorry to hear that.''

He turned to the elevator door and started to poke random buttons.

"What are these?" He asked.

I pulled his hand away from the buttons, "Don't press those you'll send the elevator, all over the building.''

"What is this elevator you speak of?" He asked me.

"Takes you up to the room you want to or my apartment."

"Apartment?" He asked.

"Place where I live. Do you have a home?"

"No not in this realm.''

My sympathy for Loki, grew and I impulsively offered for him a place to stay.

"Well until you find yourself a place of your own you can stay with me if you want to.''

"That would be greatly appreciated." He told me.

We reached my apartment, and I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed some orange juice. I held the bottle towards him.

"Want some?" I asked him.

He grabbed the bottle and shook it.

"What is that liquid?" He quizzed.

"Juice, you drink it."

He stared blankly at me.

"Do you want to try some?" I asked.

He nodded while taking in his surroundings. So, I pulled out a glass and poured him some juice.

"Here you go." I said pushing the glass towards him.

He picked up the glass, and swished the liquid around before taking a sip, then he drained the glass in seconds.

"That was a strange yet enjoyable taste." He told me.

I took a sip of my own glass and turned to him.

"So, are you really Loki, like bro of Thor, evil mastermind God of mischief and chaos etc.?" I asked him.

He shrugged, "I guess."

"You guess?"

"Yeah I don't know what to think anymore."

"Right cause you're a Norse god."

"I'm not a god."

"To the Norse people of this realm you were."

"Norse?" He asked, I nodded, "Oh okay."

Did I believe that this strange man was the real Loki? Honestly no. People like him only appear in the movies, and trust me I ain't no Robert Downey Jr.

"So, if you're the actual Loki what are you doing here in Brisbane?" I asked him.

"I had an argument with my father and to teach me manners he sent me here to teach me a lesson. But I don't know why Thor is the stupid and arrogant one, but somehow still the favourite.''

"Uh-ha so are you evil like in the and legends?" I laughed, with caution in voice

"I don't know how they portrayed me in this realm." He told me.

I had a sudden idea pop into my head.

"So, do you want to watch the movies that have you in them?"

"What is this movie you speak of?"

"It's a story but told as moving pictures."

"Um sounds like magic, but okay."
