Chapter 36: Practical experience

Everyone at this time was stunned and didn’t know what happened. The thugs also stopped shooting and looked straight at Bruce and Parker.

Similarly, Bruce was also looking at the thug leader.

Reed Phillips, level 7 S.H.I.E.L.D. contract, with a bounty of one million USD. This was Bruce’s goal for tonight.

Before he downloaded Parker’s abilities, he had spent a million USD. And if his guess was right, the next task he would be assigned to would be connected to Captain America.

And whether it be his abilities or S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Vibranium, Bruce didn’t want to miss out on anything this time around.

Captain America’s abilities could also only be stronger, and not weaker than Parker’s. So if he had the chance to download them, but couldn’t due to a lack of funds, that would be embarrassing.

So his plan was to make a lot of money in the days before his task ended.

At that moment, the thugs reacted and started shooting at Bruce.

“Bang…”

Bullets swarmed towards Bruce, but by relying on Spider Telepathy, Bruce dodged all those bullets in an instant.

After a couple dozen seconds, the thugs stopped firing.

Despite all of them firing at him for a good 30 seconds, Bruce was completely unharmed.

Everyone was shocked, and even Parker couldn’t believe it.

In fact, Parker could do this too. However he was lacking practical experience, and his mental tolerance had not yet reached Bruce’s level.

However, he lacks practical experience, and his Mental tolerance has not reached the level of Bruce.

So he couldn’t do that as easily as Bruce did it.

“My God, what is this monster?” The policemen were shocked.

“Whoosh…”

This time, It was Bruce that made his move. Several flying knives flew out towards their targets in an instant.

“Psst…”

The thugs who were standing at the very front were pierced through, and in a flash, blood spewed.

“Hurry, kill him!” Reed’s face distorted greatly as he ordered his underlings.

Among his men, some even decided to throw grenades at Bruce.

Bruce frowned, and he instantly shot several of his spiderwebs without hesitation.

In just a second, countless spiderwebs appeared, surrounded the thugs, and then wrapped them up and glued them to walls or pillars.

The Spider-web launcher was really easy to use. Bruce smiled as he was making his way towards Reed’s side.

Parker really was a genius, although he was not comparable to Iron Man.

Subsequently, Bruce left with Reed in his grasp.

“The others I’ll hand over to you, see you at the old place.” Before leaving, Bruce left behind instructions to Parker.

Parker was still in a bit of a daze before, but as soon as Bruce spoke, he quickly calmed down.

He knew why Bruce brought him here.

“Mr. Bruce, I won’t let you down.” Parker whispered.

Bruce who had already left was not worried about him, Parker just lacked a bit of practical experience, otherwise he was still Spiderman.

Unfortunately for Bruce, Reed did not have any special abilities.

But that was to be expected, after all, not every contract could bring him a new special ability.

The level of reward was based on the degree of their threat.

Halfway through, Bruce killed Reed.

If such a man was brought to S.H.I.E.L.D., he would still be killed.

Soon after, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents came and took Reed’s body away. And with that, another million was added to Bruce’s account.

The harvest tonight was very good.

Two million would probably be enough for him to download Captain America’s abilities and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Vibranium.

The things Bruce did were all recorded by S.H.I.E.L.D. In fact, the total amount of contracts Bruce completed in a month had far exceeded most level 7 agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

With that being the case, he was attracting more and more of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s attention.

And that was indeed his goal, to be valued by S.H.I.E.L.D.

In this way, he would be able to get into contact with the more powerful superheroes.

After finished up, Bruce was ready to return to Parker’s house.

He would be leaving in a few days, and he still needed to leave something for Parker.

The current Parker had not fully grown up yet, so he needed to think of some way to help Parker grow faster so that he could download his real abilities.

Soon after, Bruce returned to Parker’s house.

Parker was staying in the garage, with a hint of excitement still in his eyes.

Today’s matters were too exciting for Parker, but he seemed to like this feeling.

Bruce also suddenly became a lot more mysterious in Parker’s eyes.

“Are you still thinking about today’s things?” While Parker was reminiscing, Bruce spoke.

“Mr. Bruce.” Parker was visibly excited, especially when he saw Bruce.

After today’s events, he seemed to understand the meaning behind Bruce’s previous words.

“With great power comes great responsibility.”
