Chapter 26 - The Real Drama Queen

Lunch time came, and Callie noticed Athasia wasn't picking up her food. She reached out and asked if the food prepared by her mother wasn't to the young miss' liking.

"No, no. I like it," Athasia immediately blurted out.

It's true that she was in a state of thinking. After witnessing everything in that video. Just like a celebrity's popularity, it spread all over the school and every student was talking about it now.

For sure, Mister Sung will never be the righteous man anymore. His name was already tainted by a bunch of lies. There were some students who still couldn't believe what happened.

Some of them wanted to personally see the teacher and asked him if he really did the crime himself. However, the main building already got restricted and only the members of the student council can enter it. It was the school's precaution to prevent commotion.

Athasia finished her food with a bitter taste in her mouth. She felt sorry for Aunt Ellie, who prepared the food with love. Even if she wanted to enjoy it, Amber didn't leave her mind.

On their way back to their classroom, a black expensive car caught the student's reaction in the open field. Even the ones taking their lunch breaks, relaxing under the trees got intrigued. From the main gate, they recognized that expensive car.

It was Amber's father who stepped out. This man has blonde hair just like his daughter. He's wearing a well ironed gray suit. You can see the straight lines down to his pants. That brand must be expensive.

Two men in black walked side by side with him, as if protecting him until he reached the main building, which was already restricted.

"Did you see that?"

"It's Mr. Pittman, right? Amber's father"

"Eh? He really came for her daughter"

Athasia heard the murmuring sounds louder in her ears. The gossip of the school's top sponsor visiting the school to punish the perverted teacher immediately spread all over. The classes in the afternoon got vacant since all the faculty held a very important meeting.

The teachers left some paperwork for the students. Even though they couldn't attend the class, it was still their priority to sharpen their student's brain. No one was saved.

"Athasia, d-do you want to g-go to the library?" Callie asked with her brown eyes, looking at her friend.

"Ah?" Athasia was so lost in thoughts.

This time, Callie got the courage to speak up. "Athasia, y-you've b-been spacing out. I-I-uhmm..Are you r-really okay?" she asked, fidgeting with her fingers.

Little did she know Athasia was thinking about something else. The young miss leaned her elbow on the desk and cupped her chin, then she asked. "Callie, will it hurt me if I slap someone with a thick face?" she blabbed out indifferently.

Callie was, of course, surprised. Her face sunken a bit and blinked, "P-Pardon?" she wanted to make sure that she heard it right. Although Athasia was a straightforward person, she still couldn't get it sometimes.

The young miss leaned back, "Nevermind," under the desk. She clenched her fist.

Ivan, her seatmate, gathered all his books and adjusted his glasses. It wasn't because he had a bad eyesight. He's using glasses because the fonts of the textbooks were small and he wanted to read them well. "The library is much quieter," he mumbled.

Getting what he wanted to convey, Callie went back to her usual self. "L-Let's go to t-the library then!" she cheerfully said.

The library wasn't that crowded; it was spacious despite having a vacant time for the students. Only the serious ones decided to go there to do their paperworks like them.

The three sat at a long table and flipped through their books. The atmosphere fell into silence in no time. They all wore a focused expression, scribbling on their notes.

Athasia, however, couldn't put her hand at ease. She suddenly got the urge to slap someone, thick face or not.

The table with the seniors across them leaned into each other as if they're whispering something. In the years they spent at this University, they still couldn't believe that Mister Sung, the righteous man, did it.

It's like a signal for Athasia to take action. Even the female lead in her novel grew fond of Mister Sung. He's a strict but reasonable man.

"Can anyone help me send this to the faculty office?"

Athasia immediately sprang up, slamming her hand lightly on the table. 'Alright Amber, enough lies,'

She smiled and waved her hand at the librarian. "Here Miss! I can help you." she walked closer to the desk and pulled the form from the librarian's hand.

The librarian, who seemed stricken, unconsciously nodded her head. She didn't get the meaningful smile plastered on Athasia's face.

The young miss held the form dearly as she exited the library like a one-way ticket to heaven–hell.

Well, it's really her ticket towards the restricted main building. The librarian wasn't really a part of everyday lessons and if they closed the library after giving paperworks to the students, where would they provide themselves some information?

They needed the librarian for the recordings too, so they exempted her from the faculty meeting.

Athasia reached the main building in just a minute, since it's not that far. Her footsteps echoed in the quiet corridors. After reaching the upper floor, a student council member welcomed her and asked her what she's doing there since the building was closed.

She recognized her. It's the nerdy secretary who she helped earlier. The young miss showed her the form and told her that the librarian had ordered her to submit it to the office.

The student council secretary didn't refute since she had trusted the other girl.

As expected, the faculty office was empty. But she saw the table for the form and put it there. She scanned the room for a minute, passing her time.

She had another reason.

She peeked through the side of the door and found out that the secretary wasn't there anymore. She fists up and compliments herself in her thoughts.

Now, she can freely roam on that floor.

Athasia exited the faculty office and closed the door quietly. Just when she turned her eyes towards the hallways, she saw a figure also exiting the main office, where the important meeting was being held.

Bingo! It's Amber.

The blonde-haired girl wiped the tears in her eyes, and an evil smile immediately occupied her lips. Like a drama queen getting out of the theater.

Athasia curved her lips into a smile and followed her target.

Amber headed straight to the bathroom. To maybe wash her face from doing evil acts. She faced the reflection in the mirror and laughed. She's amused by her drama.

"You seemed to enjoy it too much,"

After seeing another reflection, Amber almost screamed. She cursed out, "The fuck are you doing here?!"

Athasia opened the faucet and felt the water flowing through her hand. "I'm washing my hands too, because it will get dirty very soon," she pulled a tissue after that.

"Hah?!" Amber's voice almost echoed in that enclosed bathroom. "Are you mocki—"

Before she could finish her sentence, a slap hit her face. It rang into her ears and she got deafened for a moment.

Athasia backed away, "Oh my! It really hurts. Amber, you have such a thick face.." she emphasized every word as if throwing knives.

"You bitch!" Amber gnashed her teeth and grabbed the young miss on the collar.

"Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!" Athasia clicked her tongue in dismay. "You still haven't learned your lesson?" she raised one brow and leaned closer to Amber's ear. "You should stop acting like a goddamn damsel in distress,"

That cold tone of voice brought something to the blonde girl as she unconsciously let go and backed away. "Who do you think you are to warn me?!" Amber exclaimed, boiling face.

Athasia faced the mirror and fixed her collar.. Then she glanced at the girl with a sharper and colder gaze. "Amber, I'm not warning you…I'm threatening you,"
