180 My lab is your home

There is a robot who claims to be the daughter of some prime minister from the ancient era. None of the vampires can explain to her where she is. Whenever Noah begins to tell her that her family is so dead that even their bones can't be found, she lets out shrill wails.

"Why is she so loud?" Izo covers his ears. He feels like he has forgotten the meaning of peace. There is no sign of Jin and Kai is also mourning as if he is dead. "I can't deal with this."

He isn't only concerned about Kai and Jin. Noah has been ignoring him. But Izo doesn't remember doing anything that might have offended Noah. Instead, he should be offended because Noah kissed him. 

Does he kiss anyone? The corner of his lips curls down. Noah and Kai. He doesn't want to think about it. It's a good thing that Kai has a true mate. 

"I am going out," Noah says suddenly. Being in the same castle as Izo is suffocating. Izo must be disgusted by that kiss. He glances at Izo, hiding every troublesome emotion in his heart. "You must have been tired. Take some rest. I will look for Jin."

"Wait!" Kai cries. "Don't leave me behind, Noah."

"You." Noah glares at Kai. "Deal with your robot."

"I don't want to be tied to a robot." Kai sobs. "I want to remain single."

"As if I wanted you!" Shen Mei snaps at Kai. She doesn't even know what a robot is. Judging by these demons' tones, it's not anything good. This demon turned her into an even worse demon. "I want to go home."

"You don't have a home," Kai yells back at her. How could his own creation scold him? That won't do. "I am your creator. My lab is your home."

"I don't want that dirty place as my home." Shen Mei sniffles, "There are too many weird things."

Lei, who has been listening to their bickering, wonders when will Aiken or their king return. Only they can resolve this. As an elder, he can't ignore this insanity. Thus, he decides to speak. 

"Shen Mei, Kai and you are true mates. Only you have the rights over him and his things. Similarly, he has rights over you. True bond is the most beautiful bond in the universe. Because of the true bond, you are able to cross time and space for Kai. Your family is already gone. Everything you have known from your life is gone including your body. I know that it's unfair, but everything happens for a reason. Maybe it's fate how Kai met his true mate."

Shen Mei calms down. She blinks her tears away. "Does it mean that he's my husband?"

"Yes." Lei sighs. It will take some time, but she is more accepting and simple than their queen is. "And we aren't his concubines. He isn't married to any of us. In fact, he can't even kiss or touch another woman or man other than you. It is the same for you. Only you own him."

Kai looks at Lei as if he has betrayed him. "Why are you doing this to me?"

Shen Mei blushes hard while Kai nods his head.

"I put a lot of effort into her." Kai scratches his chin as he scrutinizes Shen Mei's face. "Everything is perfect about her except for the fact that she can't be ordered around."

Lei shakes his head. Why does he even bother? 

"Since you are my husband, I will listen to you, Lord." Shen Mei clasps her hands together. As long as he doesn't bring in any competition and she can be the only mistress, everything is fine with her. And her demon lord is quite handsome. "I will clean up our abode."

Kai's eyes light up. That's what he wanted. A maid robot. Not a true mate. "You will?"

"Lord, I am your wife." Shen Mei pats her chest. "Leave everything to me. I will take care of the entire household. I will give your healthy children. You don't have to worry about a thing."

"Children?" Kai pales. Is it possible? Did he put that function in her? He can't recall. He has been trying hard to create a perfect robot. If there is a birthing function, did he use protection? Is she pregnant now? Can robots get pregnant?

Shen Mei walks back to Kai's quarters. She has a lot of work to do. The place is inhabitable in her eyes. 

"No, No, No," Kai mutters to himself as he trails after her, both curious and afraid, "we can't have children, but what if we can? I need to check her body as soon as possible."

Lei and everyone else have heard his mumblings. They shake their heads in unison. Kai is hopeless, but the robot is even weirder. Did she even understand what they have been trying to tell her? Maybe it's best to let them deal with their problems. All true mates eventually figure out each other. Shen Mei and Kai will compliment each other in a way that nobody else can separate them. 

"I need to find Jin." Noah ambles away from them. All he wants is to avoid Izo. Perhaps, he should leave this world after finding Jin. "I will return after I find him."

Not waiting for anyone's reply, he leaves right away.

"What is going inside his head?" Izo scowls darkly as he rushes after Noah. "He isn't recovered yet."

Lei watches them leave with a dull look on his face. Does anyone follow orders here? The King and Brother Aiken should return soon.
