"Master told me to teach you but I really don't feel like it." Sho groaned.

"Oh, oh. Mio will teach you. Mio is better than that idiot Sho anyway." Mio said cheerfully.

"Your not better than me or master would have asked you to teach her instead of me." Sho snapped at Mio.

"Anyway Mio is older than you so you must call her senpai." Mio said, ignoring Sho.

"Don't ignore me!" Sho yelled.

"Mio also thinks you should not call Sho senpai even if he is older than you because Mio thinks he sucks." Mio said looking at Sho with disdain.

"Like hell, master obviously told me to teach because I am obviously more responsible than you." Sho yelled at her.

"Responsible?" Mio questioned, "Mio just heard you say you didn't feel like teaching."

Yuuki sighed, watching them argue. She felt like she had got in the middle of something. All I want to do is learn ren, Yuuki thought.

"Ok Mio is going to prove she is stronger than you." Mio stated firmly, "Yuuki, Mio is going to do her ren and you are going to say that she is better than Sho."

"Fine!" Sho said.

They both stood and let their auras burst out. Soon their nen became like flames and flared around them.

"I mean, Sho's ren is slightly stronger..." Yuuki said.

"Haha... I told you!" Sho interrupted.

"But he still lost to Mio in a battle." Yuuki finished.

"Ha... idiot!" Mio said, "What good is stronger ren if you still lose to cute little Mio."

"You're so full of yourself Mio!" Sho yelled.

"Mio doesn't care what you think! She deserves to be full of herself because she is amazing!" She said, before quickly turning her attention to Yuuki, "Does that mean you acknowledge Mio as your senpai Yuuki?"

"Ummm, sure?" Yuuki said.

"Good!" Mio yelled cheerfully, "You are now under the house of Mio. Rule number 1, do not betray Mio and ask idiot Sho for help, ok?"

Sho groaned.

"Ok, so to start with imagine all of your energy accumulating inside your body..." Mio began to talk.

Sho glared angrily at them before storming off.

"Whatever, I don't know why master wanted me to help her anyway." Sho said.

"Are you not teaching then?" Kuo asked, approaching Sho from behind.

"She didn't want me to anyway!" Sho said, "I'm not going to fight to teach someone who doesn't even want my help."

"A shame." Kuo said, "Your fundamentals are much better than Mio's and you would make a much better teacher."

Kuo then walked off leaving Sho standing there.

A day later Mio and Yuuki walked up to Kou's hut. They passed Sho on the way who simply gave them an angry look before disappearing into the forest.

"Has she learnt it then, Mio?" Kuo asked.

"Yes, Mio has taught her ren." Mio said, "Mio also taught her Gyo, she learnt both because Mio is such a great teacher."

Kuo looked at Yuuki. Gyo too? He thought, she is a quick learner.

"Ok then," he said, "Come in."

Yuuki walked into the hut and quickly saw the glass of water with a leaf laying on top.

"The water technique is a way to tell what category your nen falls under out of the six categories: enhancement, emission, transmutation, manipulation, conjuration and specialization." Kuo said, "Place your hands on either side of the glass and use ren."

Yuuki placed her hands around the glass and used her ten. As she did this, impurities began to appear in the water.

"A conjurer, huh," Kuo said.

Conjuration, Yuuki thought. Not the nen type I wanted but I can work with it. She didn't want to burden herself with laws like Kurapika did but she could still make a good object by combining it with other nen types.

My next strongest would be transmutation, right? Yuuki thought, imagining the hexagon with all the nen types written out on it.

"Are you thinking about a hatsu?" Kuo asked.

Yuuki nodded.

"Don't." He said firmly, "For now just focus on the basics. Practice so that you make the changes in the water more obvious. If she is willing, Mio will also teach you some basic combat techniques."

"Mio is willing to help," Mio said.

"After a while, I'll get you to help out with something. The best way to improve is not to rush it." Kuo said.
