246 Let The Battles Begin 3

Standing in front of the group with all with their eyes staring intently at her, was a nervous Valindra.

"Umm..."

"What do you want?" Mika didn't want the delicious breakfast in her stomach coming up because of looking at this girl's face.

"...you have to help me..." Valindra pleaded as her eyes jumped around the room like someone was after her.

"Sorry, I'm not your conscience. There is no reason for me to help you." Mika dismissed her roommate.

Drinking the rest of her juice, Celaena couldn't stop the laugh that escaped her mouth and ended up spraying juice all over the table.

"Heh..." Finding Mika's remark funny she gave her a thumb up. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.com for visiting.

"Ew!" Valindra stepped back from the table afraid to get her uniform dirty from Celaena's spilled juice.

Hycis and Saavi rushed to help Celaena to clean up the table before the spilled juice got over everything.

Angry from being laughed at, Valindra stomp back to the table.

"You think I would be in this situation if it wasn't for you...!" She pointed at Mika.

"Excuse me?" Mika didn't think anyone could be this self-centered, but apparently she still has a lot to learn about the world.

"Yes, you! If you had just given up your spot to begin with, none of this would have happened to me!" Valindra yelled out her frustrations.

From the time her scores were posted, she has been hounded by students challenging her all week long. Even the people she once thought of as her friends turned their backs on her.

Now that there is going to be a month long competition, she'll have nowhere to hide. She was going to have to fight these people who wanted her spot.

Valindra wasn't afraid of showing her gifts during the second test as she was assured by her father that no matter how bad she did, she'll get into the BLUE dorm. However, things were different now. If the students see how paltry her skills actually are, there will be no question that she'll end up getting beaten to a pulp.

Scared out of her mind, Valindra sought out Mika for a solution, thinking she would be in the same situation as her.

Isn't this why she kept declining to fight?... She should have a solution, she has to!

"You have to think of something... I don't want to be killed!" Valindra looked at the five people sitting around the table, imploring them for help. Four of them had the highest test score during the second test. She was pretty sure no one would challenge them to a match.

How did Mikaela get these people around her...?

Mika could see what the girl was thinking.

"You want solution...? I have one..."

"What is it? Tell me!"

Mika wiped her hands with her napkin as she was done with eating and stood up from the table.

"All you have to do is give up your place in the BLUE dorm." With that Mika left the cafeteria with everyone following after her.

"Give up...my place...forfeit!?" Valindra thought the thought of getting beaten up and possibly dying was scary, but the thought of her not being in the elite class is just as terrifying.

Father had to bribed so many teachers to get me into this class, how can all that hard work go to waste?

Thinking about this, a brilliant idea popped into her head. Laughing at herself for seeking help from such a lowly girl, Valindra paid no mind to Mika's suggestion and rushed off to her comm her father.

"Mika, that's the girl you have to deal with everyday in your room?" Hycis couldn't believe that there were people in this world that actually think you owe them something for bullying you.

"En."

"Do you want me to freeze her...?"

"Yes."

"No!"

Hearing Hycis offer, Saavi and Jonas shouted out the same time Mika answered.

Hycis was joking, but when three people answered at once he thought maybe they took him too seriously.

"Relax everyone, I was just jesting..." Hycis chuckled.

Mika gave Jonas and Saavi the stinky eye for ruining her fun. Maybe she could get Hycis later when "Mom" and "Dad" weren't around.

"Mikaela...don't." Saavi could see the thought was still there in Mika's mind.

"I didn't even do anything..." Mika turned away from Saavi's eyes.

"You were thinking it."

"Thinking isn't going to hurt her..." Mika grumbled.

"Yes, that would be true but your thoughts always seem to get out and manifest..."

Mika turned around and smiled at Saavi, "You know me so well..."

Walking to class, they passed by the council building and saw a long line of students waiting in before of the doors. The council members were yelling at the students to fill in their names and the name of the student they wish to challenge before submitting the forms into their office.

"Next month is going to be hell..." Jonas shook his head as they all kept walking towards the main building.

In the classroom, there were only a few student present. The teacher knew attendance was going to be like this for the next couple of days as the sparring grounds were packed with students training.

The battle and weaponry teachers were happy, but the classroom teachers were pulling out their hair from their lessons being disrupted.

Left with no other choice, the teachers came to an agreement to suspend lessons until the competition is over.

"For this week and the coming month, there will be no lessons. Many of you will want to train for the upcoming competition and since I might have new faces in my class starting at the end of next month... Forget it, I'll just finish here... Good luck, everyone." The teacher left the room mumbling about a much needed vacation.
