119 The truth will set you free

"It hurts!" Lixiss laid on the floor bleeding from her back.

Why did uncle Kendel hurt me? He didn't even seem worried about me.

Lixiss thought Kendel or even her mother's maid, Kerala would come to check on her, but all they did was continue fighting.

Lixiss who has been spoiled since the time she was born couldn't understand why no one was paying her any attention. Struggling to stand up, Lixiss walked to her mother.

"Mom! Uncle Kendel threw wind blades at me!.." Vanya looked at the daughter she has used as a tool for the past fifteen years, and laughed.

"Lixiss, do you see the state I am in! I don't care whether you're hurt or mad, there are bigger things for me *cough* to worried about." Vanya closed her eyes and hoped the honey that she swallowed before would kick in.

"Mom!...Mother!" Lixiss called for Vanya, but Vanya continued to ignore her.

"Hahaha...young miss should stop, your mother is barely hanging on to her own life, she has no time to worried about yours." Kerala comments bought Lixiss' attention her way.

Kerala had stood off to the side, avoiding the fighting altogether.

"What happened to mother!? Why is she like this? Your job is to take care of her, what have you been doing!?" Lixiss raised her hand and slapped Kerala's face.

Anger by the slap, Kerala decided to wake young miss Lixiss up from her delusions.

"Our poor young miss, your whole life has been a lie...Your mother never cared for you from the time you were born, you were a tool to her. A tool to control Lord Tasar and gain young master Joanos' lands...that's all you were." Kerala shook her head at the foolish girl.

She once felt sorry for Lixiss, but as young miss got older, her spoiled attitude and entitles ways replaced the once sweet girl she knew.

"Why would my mother need to control my father? Father loves me the most, there is nothing he won't give me... You don't know what you're talking about! Why am I even talking to you anyways, you're just a mere servant... And don't think I have forgiven you for locking me in the shed either!" Lixiss looked at Kerala like she was the dirt beneath her feet.

Kerala smirked at Lixiss arrogant attitude. "Pfft! Your father? You don't even know who your father is!"

"My father is head of the Udava clan, and I am his only daughter!"

"Haha! Your father...your father is your uncle!..." Kerala pointed in Kendel's direction.

"...your uncle Kendel came into your mother's room, drunk off his ass one night and had his way with her.To hide this secret and to protect his son, your grandfather the Vlacca's clan previous leader, quickly married Lady Vanya to Lord Tasar...with you in her womb..." Kerala whispered the last part directly into Lixiss' ear.

"No!...No! That's not impossible! They are brother and sister! He wouldn't do something like that!... Mother always said I'm the princess of the Udava clan! Your lying!"

"Oh? I'm lying? Then care to tell me how you look so much like Lord Kendel than you do Lord Tasar? Or why your birthday comes before Lord Tasar and Lady Vanya got married...?" Kerala pointed out the flaws in Lixiss' life for her to see.

The questions Lixiss had always wondered about, Kerala used as proof to her claims. How was she to explain these questions, she, herself sought answers to?

After all these years of taking orders from Lady Vanya and Miss Lixiss, it finally felt good to deliver some pain! Kerala thought as she wanted to see Lixiss crumble at her feet.

Lixiss stared at Kerala's laughing face then at her mother's. Vanya had heard their conversation, and she could have stopped Kerala, but why? Everything was ruined anyway, who cares if Lixiss found out the truth now.

Seeing her mother not saying anything to disprove Kerala's words, Lixiss understood that Kerala was telling the truth.

Lixiss' mind couldn't take the truth and shattered.

Making a fireball, Lixiss threw it straight at the laughing Kerala.

"Aaaah!" The fireball hit Kerala square in the chest and consumed her alive. Her screams were all that was left of her.

Vanya was stunned by Lixiss' actions. Was there a need to burn her maid alive?

"Lixiss...!" Vanya called out for her daughter to stop, but when Lixiss turned towards her, Vanya could see her eyes held no awareness.

"Lix...Lixiss..?"

Lixiss created another fireball and hurled it in Vanya's direction.

Using the little power she had left, Vanya paused the fireball in mid-air before it reached her.

An unexpected increase in energy came from Lixiss. The green fire which only covered Lixiss' hands now spread to devour her whole body.Turning to the rest of the people in the house, Lixiss raised her hands and a torrent of green fire blasted their way.

Not stopping there, Lixiss kept going, setting the whole house on fire.

Kaze and Lord Kendel notice the abrupt increase in energy, but they didn't know where it was coming from. It wasn't until the green fire was licking at their clothes that they realized Lixiss trying to burn them alive.

With massive fireballs coming their way and smoke blurring their visions, no one on either side could tell left from right and up from down.

As house started to cave in on itself Saavi who was the closest to Mika's bedroom, ran in her save her.

"Cough... cough...young miss!...cough...young miss..." The heat of the smoke was burning her lungs and making her eyes watery.

Using the walls as guides, Saavi crawled over fallen beams and burning furniture to reach the bed. When she made to gather Mika in her arms, she found her strength had disappeared, and her lungs couldn't gather any air. Slowly losing unconsciousness, Saavi called out for Kaze.

A black shadow came towards her and took Mika away. Thinking it was Kaze, Saavi happily gave into the darkness and fell unconsciousness.

Lixiss continued to burn everything around her until her powers became too wild to control, and they began to devour her.

Joanos watched as Lixiss was eaten up by her own fire. Though the look on her face as she burned alive wasn't of someone in pain, it was of someone who just lived the happiest day of their life.

Lixiss died with a radiant smile on her face.
