454 Dinner With The Devil 2

"Are you enjoying your meal?" Rychell looked at Mikaela pushing the food around on her plate in dismay.

"Yes, it's quite delicious." Mika's stomach was doing jumps and flips as she tried to keep the food in her stomach.

The quiet atmosphere and the tightly shut doors wasn't helping her nerves which made it impossible for her to have an appetite.

"Then eat more." Rychell told her blankly.

What are you going to do? Not allow me to leave the table if I don't?

Though Mikaela begrudgingly thought those words, she still pick up her fork and took big bites to finish the food.

However, she only did so because she had already checked the food for poison.

"So tell me, how is my son doing?" Rychell ask once she began to eat.

"I don't know. I haven't spoken to since he left." Which is partially true.

"Really?"

"Really." Mika paused with her fork halfway to her mouth to answer before she continued to eat.

Rychell watched this little fledgling lie right to his face and felt amused.

"Heh...don't lie to me child." He looked at her with a cold smile on his face.

Hearing his words, Mikaela looked up. Staring the emotionless eyes on his handsome face, Mika felt a shiver run down her back.

For the first time after being reborn, she was tongue-tied.

Silence fell in the room and as more time ticked by, Mika felt herself get sucked into an abyss of darkness.

What is happening…?

Mika was floating, her body felt weightless in a dark void. There was nothing around her, not a cloud, tree, ant or a person. Coldness invaded her body and soon loneliness followed.

At the table Mika had stop eating and was just staring straight ahead. Rychell smiled and went back to eating as he knew Mika was now under his spell.

Trapped in whatever Rychell did, Mika began to panic and scream.

However, her body at the dining table was a silent as a mouse. The only thing that gave away that something was wrong with her, was her facial expression and the sweat dripping down her face.

Rychell was enjoy her reaction to his little prison for her. Right at this moment, he could do anything he wants to her body and Mika wouldn't be able to do a damn thing.

"This is why little fledglings shouldn't lie." He said as took a sip of his wine then wipe his mouth clean.

The feeling of being trapped was excruciating. It was worst then when she was shot out into space in her own sleep cell. At least then she could move her body.

Trying to gain control of her emotions, Mika blocked out all the negative thoughts going through her head and focus on trying to get out of this situation.

Heart still pounding, Mika closed her eyes and tried counting to calm herself down.

When she reached one hundred and eighty-three, she felt her mind relax.

Opening her eyes, she found herself in her mind' space. Seeing the familiar space, she relaxed instantly.

Once the initial shock of what happened wore off, Mika went to seeing if she could connect to her body.

Realizing she could, she sigh in relief.

If Rychell was looking at Mika's body at that time, he would had seen her fingers twitch a little before going still.

As of right now Mika was plotting on how to get herself out of this dinner, without being killed by the King. When suddenly she felt someone or something approaching her.

Hyper aware that she was already in a dangerous situation, Mika reacted quickly.

Throwing herself back in her body, she turned and block Rychell's knife as it aim at her hand.

"Wha-ugh!"

Sending a big water bomb in his direction, Mika sent King Rychell flying through the dining hall.

Unprepared for the attack, Rychell had left himself opened and landed hard on the palace floor.

He jumped up immediately to strike back at her, but Mika was no where to be seen.

"My little mouse has hid from me again...or has she ran away." Glancing at the open dining door, he smiled as he ran out of the room.

"Sh*t! Sh*t! SH*T!" Mika cursed as she zoomed down the halls of the palace. She tried to make it to the exit where her shuttle was parked but when she reached the courtyard nothing was there.

"Motherf**kers! They stole my ride!" She wanted to look for an alternative means of transportation, but the chuckling of a raging lunatic behind drove her into hiding.

Rychell reached the courtyard just when Mika found her hiding spot. Slowly her heartbeat and quieting down her breathing, she made herself as small as possible in the ceiling's rafting.

*Boom!*

A tree and brushes blew up.

When Rychell didn't see Mika around anywhere, he knew she must be hiding in the area.

Enjoying the game of cat and mouse, he began blowing up spots he thought she would be hiding at.

Mika knew she couldn't stay hiding in the ceiling any longer. The courtyard was already a mess and it wouldn't be long before the King looks up instead of at the ground.

Having memorized the imperial palace layout this time, Mika was sure she could find a her way out, if only she can out run her future father-in-law.

Mika waited for the right opportunity. She knew the King had to move away from her if he wanted to continue his search, and the minute he does she needed to make a run for it.

Rychell moved from under Mika's hiding spot to check the surrounding area.

Now!

Softly like a spider making its way down from the ceiling, Mika drop down and ran back into the palace.

"Little mouse, where are you going?"

Looking back, she saw the King standing in the doorway, smiling at her.

F**k! Mika took off running again, Damnit! All he needs is a chainsaw and he will be my worst nightmare!
