397 Sticky Situation 5

The first thing Lady Lyra notice when she arrived at the bathroom behind everyone else, was the feel of different powers sources flowing in the air. However, there was only one that felt familiar to her.

"Mikaela."

Pushing to the through the crowd of soldiers and guards, Lyra made her way to the front to see Mika slowly torturing Sienna.

She didn't care very much about Sienna dying, what had her upset was Mika using her gifts in front of everyone.

"Mikaela...Crystalmist...Amara." She needed to stop her before she does something even more stupid.

Hearing her mother calling her by her full name, caused Mika to release her hold on her sister.

"Aaaah!...Papa! Help!" Sienna shriek.

Seeing his daughter was about to become a pancake, Mano was quick to slow down her fall to the floor.

Lyra didn't trouble herself with the falling girl, she only cared that Mika wasn't harmed in anyway.

Turning around, Mika faced her mother which caused Lyra to pause briefly before dashing to Mika's side to embracing her in her arms.

"Mo-"

"Shh...your eyes have changed color." Lyra whispered in her ear. Tucked in her mother's bosom, Mika shocked expression was seen by no one.

Realizing her eyes have revert to their original color, Mika suddenly thought of the way Ailwin looked at her as he caressed her cheek just a moment ago.

He noticed….?

After placing Sienna gently on the ground, Mano looked around at the trashed bathroom, "Someone mind telling me what the hell is going on here?"

Mika turned her head to the side, ignoring the obvious look her father sent her way.

Ailwin cleared his throat to get Lord Mano's attention, "Why don't we take this discussion this somewhere more appropriate?"

Examining the trashed bathroom, Sienna's hurt body and both her and Ailwin' poor state of dress, Mano agreed.

Calling forth his steward, he ordered him to send for servants to clean up the mess in the bedroom and bathroom.

Ailwin walked off to get a change of clothes as Sienna too, was being escort by female servants towards an empty room to change out of her rags before the healers showed up to treat her wounds.

While two of the individuals part of this affair were gone, Mano turned his attention to his youngest daughter.

"Mikaela...come here." With only the three of them in the drawing room, Mikaela didn't need to hide her face anymore.

Leaving her seat, she stood in front of Mano, letting him examine her eyes.

It had been a long time since he had seen the beautiful color of his daughter's original eye color.

"Mano…" Staring at Mikaela's eyes, Mano forgotten he needed to reactivate the incantation before everyone's else arrived until Lyra called his name.

"Right… Lean a little closer to me, Mikaela." With his palm placed over the upper part of her face, he restored her eyes' to their false color.

"There, all done."

Feeling like a film was over her eyeballs again, Mika had to blink a couple of times to clear away the tears before returning to her seat.

Mano looked at his daughter then down at the hand he use to cast the spell, It was much harder this time than it was last time. Soon we won't be able to hide them forever.

Mano clinched his hands into fists as he glanced at his wife and daughter.

In his steward's bedroom, Ailwin had to borrowed clothes from his soldiers as all the ones he had in his room were dirtied or ruined.

"Sir, are you sure you don't want me to get your extra pair of clothes from the ship…?" His steward fussed about after seeing Ailwin take the clothes from a soldier.

"Later. Right now, we need to handle this…. By the way, get the guards who were at the front gate when Miss Sienna arrived."

"Yes, sir." The steward moved to leave the room to find the guards when Ailwin spoke again.

"Also... why didn't anyone come into the bathroom before Lord Mano showed up?" Standing in a training uniform of one of his soldiers, Ailwin appeared more like a  Commander about the reprimand one of his guards.

Afraid that he would be held accountable, his steward was quick to answer the question, "We tried to sire, but we couldn't get inside. There was a barrier placed around the dwelling. Only with Lord Mano's arrival, were we able to break through." The steward held his head down low, ashamed that they weren't able to protect their prince properly.

"...Hmm, go get the men."

"Yes, sire."

Once his steward left and he was alone. Ailwin stared at his reflection in the mirror.

He didn't thinking Mikaela was that strong; enough that a group of his Shadow Wolves couldn't stand against her. However, what had him even more confused and startled was Mika's eyes.

I didn't see incorrectly, right? Her eyes were really amethyst...How is this possible…?

Picturing Mikaela's face then in the bathroom, Ailwin was captured by their stunning beautiiful allure of her eyes, It seems my fiancé has more secrets than the King….

Putting on the last article of clothing on, he left the room to get answers of his own.

In the drawing room, Lyra, Mikaela and Lady Delju sat in chairs on either sides of room.

"Delju, why are you here?… I distinctly remember telling you to stay inside your house." The guards Mano had stationed outside the door, caught person sneaking around in the shadows. Swift to apprehend the suspicious intruder, they were surprised to see it was Lady Delju.

After telling Lord Manowhat happened, they escorted her inside the drawing room.

"Um...I-I couldn't find Sienna! I thought something might have happened to her…."

"Really?"

"Y-Yes!…" Lady Delju nodded her head profusely up and down, "...Have you seen her, I'm very worried."

Mano stared hard at Lady Delju's face, making her squirm in her seat. After awhile he replied, "She will be out shortly…"

"Is...is she all right?" Mano didn't respond to her question, nor did anyone else in the room.

Feeling that something definitely went awry with their plan, Lady Delju decided to keep quiet until she could speak with Sienna.
