285 Blessing in disguise

A month later at the healer's center, the healers finally allowed Lula to leave. On Dean Eolith's request they kept her there for the whole treatment period, even though she didn't need it. Just so he could charge Lady Jaelah the full amount.

When she finally left the building, she left with a heavy heart. Memories of her sister trying to kill her flashed in her mind as she walked the school campus.

Lula turned around to come face to face with, Mika.

"Yea, and?" Mika tilted her head to the side waiting for what Lula was going to say next.

"Wha...It was you?" Shocked by Mika's revelation, Lula couldn't think for a time.

"….you...how….when…" Lula didn't really think the Mika was the one who had released the video of her and Prince Thallan together. She never saw her little half-sister as someone smart enough to do something like this.

To know that it was Mika who ruined her plans to be with Prince Thallan and almost got her kill, Lula couldn't come to terms with this.

"How?... Well, at the Kamryn's boring wedding, I saw you sneaking off into Prince Thallan's dressing room. I thought I would see something fun, but who would have though that you had such a perverted little mind. Lula, I can say this with much confidence, there are not many people out there that can make me blush, but  you…" Mika raise her thumb in Lula's face, "...in that room that day made my face red for days. "Argh!" Lula couldn't get words out of her mouth and just shouted as she charged Mika with her claws out.

Swiftly moving to the side to avoid Lula's nails, she let her fall to the floor. Looking down at the foolish girl who just ate a mouth full of dirt, Mika laughed.

"Lula, this is just me turning the favor you and your sister gave to me during the competition. Truthfully, I don't know why you are mad at me, I allowed the love between you and Prince Thallan to finally be out in the open. Isn't this what you wanted?...Heh"

Hearing Mika's words made big fat tears fall from Lula's eyes. She knew there was no way for her to be with Prince Thallan ever again.

"Oh, what is this? Why are you crying?"

"SHUT UP!"

"Hey! There is no reason for the attitude, and here I was going to tell you that you and Prince Thallan are going to be together after all."

"What!?" At the Mika's statement Lula was grabbing at the edge of her clothes.

"What did you just say?...Me and Thallan...together, can we?"

Mika dent down and looked into Lula's crying face before brushing her clothes free of Lula's dirty hands.

Before Ailwin and Braeden left, he told her about the conversation he and Braeden heard in the King's office.

"Yea, I heard from a reliable source that Prince Thallan is going to marry you. Shouldn't you be thanking me?"

"Is this true!?"

"Why don't you go find out for yourself if you don't believe me…" Mika walked away dusting off her clothes as she went.

Lula sat in the dirt awhile longer before coming back to herself to run towards her dorm.
