149 Strain

When Enzo tries to walk into the house, I reach out and slam my hand against the doorframe. His dark eyes drift down to me with humor and amusement dancing in them as I practically growl "What do you think you're doing?"

He smirks down at me and puts the flowers in my face as he says "I already told you. Why are you making your husband stand outside?" I snatch the flowers out of his hands and start beating him with them! 

He lifts his hands up and looks at me in shock as I start hitting him over and over. "Calm down! You're acting like this is much worse than it actually is!" He says backing up a few feet but I follow him with the flowers. The poor flowers go flying as I continue to beat the Dark Prince of hell on my front porch, Kian and my family watch with amusement from the door but when I see a car coming down the street, I freeze. 

When Enzo feels me stop, he slowly lowers his hands and looks at me with confusion. I reach out and grip his nipple with pinpoint precision and use a little magic to enhance my strength as I drag the demon into my house. 

Everyone stumbles out of the way as I drag Enzo in begging for me to release him but as soon as we're in, I release him and slam the door shut. Kian and the others look at me with confusion as Enzo rubs his nipple in pain.

I turn to Binx and yell "Keep the bastard in the bathroom! No matter what!" Binx doesn't ask questions as I quickly use my magic to push Enzo in the bathroom. Binx runs in as the house shuts the door and locks it.

Kian comes to my side and asks "What is it?" The house shakes, letting me know they're here. I look up to Kian and say "The Witches. They're here." Kian frowns in confusion as my mom's eyes grow three times there normal size. 

There's a knock on the door, causing my hands to instantly sweat. Kian still looks confused as I lean in and quickly whisper "If they found out Enzo was back, and in my house, demanding that we were now married..." I shiver at the thought as Kian finally understands. 

I wipe my palms and walk over to the door while taking a few deep breaths. As soon as I open the door, I give them a polite smile as I say "Wow... what a surprise. What can I do for you ladies?" The one in the middle steps forward and says "Our Grandmistress invites you and your mother to the Grand dinner for tonight's celebration. It's in honor of you for everything you've done for us and this community."

My smile twitches as I nervously lick my lips and reach out to take the black envelope with my last name on it. I want to tell them 'I'll pass' but if I did that, it would be a slap in the face to them, and this dinner they're literally holding in my honor. 

My mother steps up behind me and says "Tell your Headmistress that we thank her and we will be there." The three witches bow in unison before turning around and leaving. I slowly shut the door before cursing. 

I sigh and start rubbing my temples as my mother looks over the invitation with my father. Suddenly, I'm hit with an idea. I cut my palm and place it against the wall as I say "Vinclum" Magic shimmers over the entire house before I say "Okay, you can let him out now." 

As soon as I hear the bathroom door open, Binx comes trotting down the hall with an irritated look on his little face. As he passes me, he mutters "Add that to my list of things I never want to do again..." Soon, we all hear Enzo coming down the hall before he says "I'm all for rough sex, love but... a little warning beforehand would be nice." 

I give him a glare before saying "Sorry, I get these random impulses to hurt and maim you..." Enzo smirks and says "Well, now that I'm here..." I cut him off and say "Save it. My whole family knows you, remember? You held them all captive and used them against me... remember?" 

Enzo blinks a few times before smirking and saying "Yes, well... A fresh new start. Since I'm now your husband, they are my family now and I take care of those who are mine." I roll my eyes and walk passed him as I say "Whatever. From now on, you're not to leave this house. If anyone were to find out that I somehow brought you back to life... I might as well pack all our bags and move to hell."

As I walk to my room, I turn to the others and say "Can I have a word with all of you?" Enzo scoffs at me in disbelief as everyone walks to my room. Everyone but him. When we get into the room, I shut the door and set up a privacy bubble.

"Alright, he can't hear anything from this point on. Mom, I want you to leave with Dad and Liam." I turn to my father and brother saying "I need you two to keep her safe while there. No matter what. I'll make charms of protection for all of you." 

My brother quickly interrupts and asks "What about you?" I reach out and take Kian's hand as I say "I will stay here with Kian and find a way to undo all this." Liam then points to my door and asks "What about the demon in there? Do you really think he'll just stay here and obey you!?"

My smile turns evil as I say "He's not as powerful as he used to be. He can't leave the house. I set up a ward." No sooner had the words left my lips, we all hear him yell "Eris!! Let me out! NOW!"
