Chapter 168: Hidden...

Hana Sighed when he sat in the car, She was very bothered by the person hidden in the shadows of the owner's room. "That man is a lot more dangerous than I had assumed. And To have a foreign Awakened by his side… It's something that can't be left unnoticed… I'll inform Ryan about this and let him bother with everything. But seeing how careful that man was, I think he would probably not even fret about it and let the police do their thing. He would probably have something in case of that so I'll just leave him be. Seems like someone who could be useful in the future. Plus… He seems to have no powers but something was very off about him… Like something was hidden to the point where My eyes couldn't even see it" Hana thought back to when she saw the owner and sighed.

"I can't think of this now, I need to get work done." She said to herself and drove towards the locations on the map. The mine to be more specific.

At the top of the factory, a man in all black watched as she drove away, "Someone who is considered to be at the top of the world in terms of growth and power… This damn contract doesn't let me inform the guild about this person but seeing how highly Leo spoke of her, They probably have her on some list to look out for ." The man spoke to himself as he held on to what looked to be a long-distance communication device. He seemed to want to use it but was very hesitant.

After a few minutes of just holding on to the device, the man put it back in his pockets and walked to the door. As soon as he did, he felt a sudden force overwhelm him for a few seconds before disappearing. He looked around in fear.

A man walked out of the door and smiled, "Huh, You actually decided to not betray us… I thought that you would but to think that you actually went against your own guild's policy and followed the contract… I can see why boss likes you, Dark" THe man had a huge figure and a large scar on his face. He was the same person who Hana met in the hidden laboratory.

Dark looked at Scar with a slightly annoyed face, He was afraid but more so annoyed by the fact that we were being watched and never noticed it. Dark nodded and walked to the door but was stopped by scan once again, "I'd tell you to follow Leo well… he has more benefits than entire organizations at this point. Hell, I'm thinking of quitting the military but I can't due to my own circumstances… But If I were you, I'd forget the guild… That new organization, The Brotherhood of Freedom? They're nothing compared to Leo." He looked at the sky.

"You can go and do your work, I just said what I foresaw… I've been on this planet for some time and can say that among the people I've met till now, only two scare me… Hana, the girl who you had the opportunity to meet and get threatened by and the second being Leo…"

Dark nodded and walked down the stairs, He looked at his palm, A black circle on it, 'He says that he has no powers but as soon as I signed his contract, I've had this black mark on my hand ever since… I even saw it on Scar's hand… This Leo might be even scarier than I had assumed…'

Alex looked at the sky as he lied on the cold ground. His surroundings were thrashed from the battle he had with the Reaper and at this moment couldn't move at all. He had no energy in his body and seemed to only be able to watch the stars. He had been unconscious for an unknown amount of time but soon was able to gain it back. Alex could only open his eyes and look around.

His head felt like it was about to burst and his entire body was numb to the point of not even being able to flex a muscle. He had pushed himself extremely hard.

For the unknown amount of time that Alex lied on the ground, He played back that battle in his mind non-stop. He wanted to become better so he chose to study his previous battles. The reaper was truly a formidable opponent.

'I won but only by luck…' Alex concluded in his mind. He knew that something allowed him to kill the reaper. That something was unknown but all Alex knew was that the reaper was distracted for a few seconds and looked towards the general direction of the mines.

That was enough time for Alex to get a good hit. If the reaper wasn't distracted, Alex wouldn't have been able to even think about killing it.

"If that something hadn't occurred, then It would have blocked my attack and just killed me then and there… But at least due to that, I was able to not sacrifice Hades to win… I don't know where Hades went but I can still feel a connection with him so I don't think he sacrificed himself so I'm happy. All I can do now is wait till I can move and then rest as much as possible." Alex said to himself.

He laughed internally thinking of being yelled at by Ryan. Alex went against orders and decided to run and train on his own. It was the best option but also the least safe. Even now, Alex was in several life or death moments. Saved by luck and other factors. 'POWER!' Alex screamed internally.

He wanted to be more powerful, He had to be. The enemies seemed to be getting more powerful and just now, He was completely overwhelmed by one. The only thing that kept him alive and led him to win was the fact that it got distracted giving Alex enough time to shoot for the kill.
