Chapter 118 - A MESSY NEW YEAR (3)

"Why aren't you saying anything? You should say something to me!" Suyin screamed at Zhu Liang. She looked livid and tears was pouring out of her eyes.

"I will expla—"

"You don't have to explain anything to her." Zhu Liang cut Heya off. "I will explain to her. But you need to get treated first."

"What happened to you Li Heya? Who did this to you?" Her mother asked as she approached Heya with wide eyes.

"Hell! She has to explain to me. I have every right to know what happened." Suyin grew even angrier and went closer to them.

"I treated you as my friend Li Heya."

"Can you stop this?" Liang asked, he looked angry now.

"I said I will explain it to you later. Besides, you are overreacting. We already broke up."

"What? They broke up already?"

"What is happening? I didn't know they broke up."

"He broke up with her for the other girl?"

People began to talk. Suyin's face reddened more from anger and embarrassment.

"Suyin dear, let's go and talk. Please." Zhu Liang's mother pleaded with her. She didn't want her son to be the centre of attention right now.

"I am going nowhere!" Suyin pushed Liang's mother's hand away and glared at the two who had betrayed her.

"I cannot believe you can do this to me Li Heya. I trusted you. I took you as my friend. I showed you nothing but kindness. But you are worse than the other girls I've met. You are nothing but a homewrecker and a cheap slu—"

"SUYIN!" Shen called in a deep voice. At the same time, Heya's mother slapped Suyin on her cheek.

"How dare you call my daughter names? Who the hell do you think you are to call my daughter names!!!" Dana asked furiously.

Heya didn't know what to do at that point. She was embarrassed and ashamed. If only the ground could open up and swallow her.

Suyin touched her stinging cheek and looked up. She looked around with teary eyes and noticed everyone staring at her. No one seemed to be taking her side, not even her parents.

Heya's sister in–law, Sara was already pulling her away from the crowd. They all still cared about Li Heya. She could see different eyes glaring daggers at her. What was her fault?

"What did I do so wrong?" Suyin asked. Heya didn't let Sara pull her away, she looked at Suyin, her eyes were filled with tears too.

"What did I do so wrong?" Suyin repeated in an even louder voice.

"We were happy together and all of a sudden, this girl showed up to break us up but no one is seeing that? I am the one at fault?" She laughed and turned to look at all of them.

"Stop it!" Suyin's mother moved closer to her and tried to pull her away.

"You are embarrassing our family." Her mother whispered harshly.

"I am embarrassing our family?" Suyin repeated in disbelief.

"You don't even care about your own daughter? You cannot take my side?" Suyin began to cry loudly. "What did I do to deserve a terrible mother like you!? Why can't I get angry? Because you want to be in her family's good book?"

"YAN SUYIN!" Her father barked.

"Ah! You wanted to push my brother to Li Heya right? Now that Heya has been shagging Zhu Liang, you want me to be quiet because you want to push me onto Li Hoy right? Haha! Everyone knows now so what are you going to do? You should have at least pretended to be angry!" Suyin yelled at her parents.

All eyes went to Hoy who was frowning deeply. What's suddenly wrong with people? How could they sit, imagine nonsense and start planning when the chance of it working out was less than zero percent? It was absurd to imagine her family had been planning that.

Hoy looked at Joreen, guessing she was probably looking at him, but she was looking at Suyin and Heya instead. Joreen looked sad. Hoy didn't know whether it was because she felt pity for Suyin or because everyone was ruining her birthday.

Meanwhile, Elder Yan and his wife looked like they were ready to kill their daughter in that minute. She had just exposed their dirty laundry to the public and they could already hear people talking about it in every corner.

"You have gone crazy! What are you saying?" Her mother asked, throwing a slap at her already red face.

"Tsk! Poor girl. I feel bad for her." Changyu said from the side.

"You were right. Her family were up to something." Her husband agreed.

"We should leave." Shen said as he draped his jacket around his sister's shoulders. He tried to lead her away from there. It was unfortunate things turned out this way. He was worried his sister was gradually losing it and wanted to take her away.

"LET ME GO! LET GO OF ME!" She forced herself away from Shen's hold. "Is she better than me? What does she have that I do not? What does that fat pig have that I do—"

*SLAP*

For the third time in five minutes, she received another slap.

It wasn't from Heya's mother or Madam Yan but surprsingly, it was from Li Heya herself.

"I can't believe I was feeling bad for that girl just a moment ago. If Heya hadn't done that, I would have done so myself. What a psycho." Changyu thought aloud.

Every member of the Wang, Li and Luo family had the same thought. If Heya hadn't slapped her, they would have volunteered to do so themselves.

"You... slapped me?" Suyin asked in disbelief as she touched her burning cheek. By tomorrow, her cheek was surely going to be swollen.

Heya had done that out of impulse. Suyin had called her a homewrecker, called her a cheap slut, but she hadn't reacted. Calling her a fat pig, Suyin had hit her where she hurt most and she couldn't help it.

Yes, she was wrong to some extent, but she had been careful and considering Suyin's feelings. She was even planning to tell her and apologize to her in advance but she couldn't let Suyin insult her like that. It wasn't as if she stole Liang away from her. Liang didn't like her in the first place. And he was her ex boyfriend. She understood the fact that Suyin was hurt, but she was taking it too far by trying to belittle her.

Heya had slapped Suyin with her injured hand so Suyin didn't only have blood of her face, some tiny pieces of the broken glass which had been on Heya's palm also pierced her.

Zhu Liang pulled Heya away from Suyin and stood in between them.

"The next time you call Heya names again, I won't let you be." He warned Suyin before forcing Heya away from the place with him.

"Take your daughter and get lost this instant before I do something bad to her." Heya's mother warned Suyin's parents.

"And don't even think about coming back here. There's no slot for your family here." Changyu added as she shooed them away from the premises.

With their heads down, the Yan family left. Shen swore that immediately this trip was over, he was going to cut ties with his family.

"Do not think I have forgotten what you did today. I will not forgive the Luo family for hurting my son!"

Everyone had totally forgotten about the Wei family until the woman spoke again.

"Why is this thing still here?" Cixi asked rhetorically.

Another round of argument started again until Jianjun urged his wife to step in.

"Cixi can handle it." Changyu said, refusing to get involved.

"Cixi might kill her."

"Cixi won't. She is a doctor and even if she injures her, she is going to get her treated. Besides, you asked me to be nice today."

"Just be... a little un-nice.. please?"

"Really?" She asked with a grin. "You are giving me permission right no"

He nodded. "But don't be harsh. Please."

She nodded before handing her wine over to him.

When she was about to move away, he grabbed her arm,

"A little un-nice." He reminded her.

"I promise. I won't hit." She assured him before moving to the scene. It looked like a fight was going to break out any second.

"Alright! It's okay. You are all ruining this party." Changyu said calmly as she got to where they women were almost fighting.

"I WILL NOT FORGIVE THIS FAMILY FOR WHAT HAPPENED TODAY. YOU WILL PAY FOR HUMILIATING US!" Madam Wei promised.

"Only your son was humiliated." Changyu reminded her, pushing her slowly away from Cixi. "Because he is a stupid jerk who needed to be taught a lesson."

"CHANGYU!"

Changyu grabbed a bunch of the woman's short hair roughly and pulled her towards her, ignoring her high pitched scream.

"Call my name with respect you mannerless wench!" Changyu said slowly.

"You should spend time raising your son instead of barking here. No one cares about your stupid forgiveness." She grabbed her hair even more, causing the woman to scream as she tried to grab Changyu's hand to pull it away from her hair.

"You should thank your stars I promised to be nice and not hit you." She roughly pushed the woman away and let go of her hair.

Her scared son was there to help his mother from falling to the ground. "I know your husband is the chairperson for this trip. But you better respect yourself. I can make you leave here today or live here for the rest of your life. So get lost while I am still being kind." She looked behind her at Kyle. "And you too."

When she looked at her husband, she winked at him. He sighed before slowly raising a thumb.

"I am not sure I have loved any party as much as I love this one!" Li Queen squealed excitedly.
