Chapter 202: Causing Troubles

The group stayed no further at that place and proceeded. Ayaan took Rebecca on his back while Isobel and Noor supported Leafwhisk. This place was no longer safe after such a thunderous battle, people would gather due to curiosity. And it won't take much longer for the people of the palace to come—maybe two or three days if they are slow.

However, before leaving that place Ayaan cut off one head from the dead body—everyone looked at him curiously but he explained nothing for the time being. They would know the reason soon enough, anyway. Before passing the frozen river group looked at the mess they had caused—the deep ditches all over the place, the broken and shattered bridge, blood splattering round and reek spreading like a wildfire in a forest.

Ayaan shook his head and walked further and further away. It took over two hours, before Ayaan and others saw a few huts in the horizon and scuttled along with his companions with his tired and wounded and reeking and sweaty body.

——

36 hours later, Heavenly Palace—

"Boom!"

Suddenly the door of the room was banged open, and a man entered with a pale countenance in the darkroom. "Thi-third Elder!" the man said with a gruff and scared voice.

Third Elder's dark abysmal eyes peered at the man. However there was no anger and annoyingness on his face. He looked as calm as deep water. "If you can't explain yourself, prepare to die a horrible death, and I will make your wife and daughter my personal sex slaves."

The man turned paler and his body shivered in chill and his hands trembled. But thinking about his family he suppressed the anxiety and fear in his heart. He could not make his family suffer because of his mistakes. "My Lord, we hear the news," he paused and looked at the deadpan face of the third elder. "It is said that someone killed Tenth Elder Luan."

"Bang!"

Third Elder smashed the right hand of his throne and his eyes turned fierce and deadly, his body released unprecedented pressure that made the poor man kneel on the ground, making him miserable beyond comparison. "Who dared to kill an elder of the Heavenly Palace? Who has grown such a gut? Did they already forget the massacre fifty years before?!" his voice thunder in the entire throne room, while the man dared not speak a single sentence.

"Who dared?!" the elder asked with a voice filled a fury.

"M-my Lord, we are still trying to find who…"

"Smash!"

Before he could finish his sentence, a colossal hand covered his entire being and smashed him into a bloody pulp. Blood scattered and pooled on the ground, while his body was stuck on the ground like a sticker. "If you can't do such a minor thing, then what use do you have for me!?" sneered Third Elder and then frowned when thinking about the identity of the killer.

"M-my Lord!"

As he was engrossed in deep thinking someone else came into his room without permission, but froze on the spot seeing the sticker on the ground and blood giving a finishing touch to the scenery. "Speak!" shouted Third Elder.

"Th-third Elder," he lips trembled while his legs screamed in fear. "We got news just now. Someone has cut August Emperor's head and placed it on the top of August capital's entrance."

"That's it?" this time he did not show an extreme reaction like before, after all it was as easy as flipping his hand to appoint another emperor, but…

"N-no My Lord, there is more."

"Then speak you fucking dunce!" shouted the elder and his face turning red in fury once more.

"Someone burned the medicine field in the August Empire, freed every slave, and spread the seed of hatred for Heavenly Palace. By telling that they were enslaved at the order of Heavenly Palace. The talk has spread around neighboring empires and riots have formed harming our business tremendously." After explaining the man looked at the Third Elder and saw his face trembling in rage. Then turned to look at the flattened man on the ground and cold sweat trickled from his temple rolling on his face and then dripping on the ground, tip, tip, tip.

"What are you standing here for now? Get lost!" his voice thundered, deafening man's ears for a brief period as buzzing filled his ear drum.

"Thi-third Elder, there is one more news."

"There is more!?" now his patient had completely drained he was once more on the verge of bursting like a volcano.

The man felt his peering gaze and nodded nervously. "Yes, Third Elder… It is about the man called Alexander. He hanged Lusudora Kingdom's king and freed the slaves and burned the fields of yellow roses that are used to make healing potions. He has also formed a riot of three thousand people. Most of all he is strong, but no one knows how much strong, because whoever fought with him never came alive…"

"Get lost and inform the Ninth Elder Del Life about these things. No matter what he does, I want the corpse of Elder Luan's killer. No one could live after making Heavenly Palace his enemy—as for who killed him? It is those fucking brats who entered the Tower. Elder Luan went to search for them, so he must have encountered them." He paused and continued. "Ask him to crush that Alexander brat. We killed his family and clan, we will kill him all the same, humph!"

——

Ayaan stood at the cliff, near the Copstage Village and looked into the horizon at the misty mountain and green trees and grey clouds. His body was covered in a mysterious energy, looking holy and scared—it was a goodwill energy he was receiving continuously after freeing slaves from their misery. After burning the fields that made them slaves and with that energy he broke through the barrier and reached the next realm—Pupa.

"What should we do next?" Noor asked, standing behind him along with Isobel. "A group of sheep can't slaughter a tiger. No matter how many people revolt against Heavenly Palace, there is no way they could stand a single day in front of Heavenly Palace."

"You are right," said Ayaan, feeling the cool breeze on his cheeks. "I just wanted to make those bastards villains in the eyes of the masses that's it. Now that I have succeeded in it, we don't need to fight head-on. After the fight with Elder Luan I realised our strength is far away from able to match those bastards of the Heavenly Palace. Rebecca and Leafwhisk also need to recuperate. Though she said she would need six months to heal face wounds. It will take more than that to heal injuries in their bodies."

Isobel and Noor nodded, hearing his words. "So where do you think we should go, and what kind of place is safe on the central continent from Heavenly Palace?" Isobel asked, creasing her brows tight.

Ayaan smiled at her question. "We aren't going anywhere. Have you forgotten the time when we disguise ourselves on the Demonic Continent. No one could tell that we were intruders. From now on we will change our faces once more and strike forces of Heavenly Palace every time they put their guards down."
