Chapter 180: Jackal King!

The beast glared at them with its cruel, vicious eyes. The large jackal meandered, as if it was a king. Its muscular body looked majestic, and its lips curled into a cruel grin, that's what Ayaan thought of this animal.

"It is at the Heaven Rank?" asked Isobel with wide eyes, still looking at the beast. She felt threatened and pressured by this animal.

"No, it is just on the verge of breaking through." Leafwhisk narrowed her eyes at the beast. "If it was land, instead of this icy lake, I would have been able to kill it after some struggle."

Ayaan's face turned grim after hearing her, even if it was land she would need to struggle to kill the beast. Now they were standing on the ice field, where no plant could be seen and no soil could be found. It was land or death. Yes, that's what it really was.

"Howl!"

The beast howled and all the jackals once more lunged at them. As if they had received the command of the big boss while the big boss also proceeded with a slow pace towards the group, showing that it was king here and everyone—no matter who it was, human, beast, or ghost—needed to bow down to it, and submit and serve as slaves.

Suddenly the beast stopped and turned its gaze towards Rebecca and narrowed its deep red eyes. As it saw Rebecca with closed eyes, it dashed towards her with neck breaking speed.

"Fuck!" cursed Ayaan when he saw the beast dashing towards her. He gripped his sabre tightly, ready to clash with the beast head on. No matter what happens, he would not let his woman hurt while he was standing just right beside her.

However, just when Ayaan took out his Time Watch, the temperature of the surrounding area dropped. Ayaan felt as if the air was about to freeze. His skin became numb, and he almost lost the feel of his body. It was as if someone had injected him with anesthesia.

He turned to his side and saw Rebecca stood with eyes wide open, her white hair flying in the air. Her frosty face looked emotionless while her white dress fluttered due to the passing gusts now and then. The katana held in her hand tightly as ice covered it, turning its blade frosty instead of the shiny steel.

Rebecca looked at Ayaan and smiled. "Don't worry, I got this." Her smile was so beautiful that Ayaan forgot everything and his head went blank. Her movements were elegant and graceful, her sword flickered in her hands as she swung it towards the upcoming enemy.

"Whoosh!"

The sword flashed and released frost, filling the entire area in front of the group. The frosty line dashed towards the Jackal King at a damn fast speed. When the beast saw the attack coming toward it, the animal panicked and howled with a thunderous voice.

It wanted to dodge or run, but the attack was too fast to dodge and too hard to escape. There was no way it could avoid a head on collision. Realising it's tough situation, the beast gritted its sharp fangs in irritation and lunged at the attack.

While Rebecca's attack went towards the beast, her body turned limp and she fell on the ground with no strength. Her eyes closed and her breathing weakened. Ayaan saw her falling and dashed, catching before she could touch the icy ground below her feet. He carried her with one hand and fought with another.

His sabre covered with blood, and his clothes drowned in blood as well. He swung Rebecca in the air and placed her on his back. He was having trouble in fighting, while carrying her with one hand. She wasn't unconscious, but just too weak, her eyes were half closed and half open.

"Boom!!"

As everyone battled with the beasts and slaughtered them and pooled their blood on the ground, the booming sound echoed from not far away. Ayaan didn't stop fighting and only looked from the corner of his eyes. But only white fog was visible, obscuring the view from everyone's eyes.

Ayaan and everyone fought with the beast, but they also moved towards the big boss of the jackals. They wanted to see the outcome. If the jackal was injured, it would intimidate these jackals with low intelligence. No matter how powerful they were, at the end of the day, they were just beasts.

The dust settled slowly as the scene revealed itself in front of them. As the groaning sound resounded from the darkness, their hearts sank and their faces turned ugly. The beast was still alive!

Nonetheless Ayaan didn't want to stop there, he waited and wanted to see the condition of the beast. If it was the same as before with no damage, good and healthy, then he and his group were fucked. However, if it was injured, Ayaan would cut its head. Fucking beasts!

"Bang!"

As they struggled with minions, the obscurity faded from the big boss. They saw a large, vicious shadow standing in front of them. Eyes flicked with red, dangerous light. Everyone's heart sank, looking at the shadow, and as the dust completely settled, they saw the beast standing, covered in blood, while a puddle of red liquid formed underneath it.

The beast growled painfully. It walked towards their group with its trembling legs.

"Howl!"

The beast howled with all its strength and tried to walk towards them, but in the end, the beast tumbled and fell on the ground on its long face. Thud. Other jackals saw a scene and stopped. All of them retreated in fear and looked at their boss in fear. They could not believe that these weak looking pathetic humans beat the jackal king.

"Howl!"

"Howl!"

"Howl!"

Suddenly many frenzied roars sounded, and Ayaan felt the atmosphere changing. However, the strange thing was that the jackals were focused on him and his group anymore, but on their so-called king.
